Hey Maskuraid, just like other have said, you do not need another dish for DSTV, you can share the same dish, this is because HiTV and DSTV dish position are same (same angle and position).
This is what I do, I downloaded all DSTV and HiTV on my strong and I manually switch cards but of late, I have been using only DSTV, I am enjoying the full package,

HiTV is calling their subscribers. They want to find out why people have not being renewing their subscription, as if that is not obvious enough.

It is such a pity that Mr. Toyin and HiTV management are not listening to the demands of their loyal subscribers, it show the type of platform they are running. It is as if HiTV management has forgotten that their being successful is directly proportional to satisfying their subscribers. I have resolved not to subscribe until HiTV revert to the old price.
I am still enjoying DSTV full package.

@Ochukss, urfriend has nothing good to say for now and I do not think HiTV has plans for 24hrs movie channel.

It is such a pity, that Nigerian own establishment is exploiting Nigerians, O ma ga, Well, thank God they are not the only Cable provider in the country.

For october last year hitv as a strong client base of 780,ooo client,regular paid client as of my data --

But after d premiership ended d figure go down--showing most clients paid due to premiership stuff,nw i guess many guys or ladies will find it diffucult to pay as per increment of the subcriptions--6k only-the consultant dat hitv consult will av advice dem to increase so dat hitv can av more money to pay for d next bid--hitv consultant as done a lot of damage dan prevention--many client as gone for mytv stuff-it nw depend on the marketg trick of mytv to work thg out-assumg no premiership right for hitv -wat happen .100 per of ctl programme ,air by hitv,but d difference is the premiership-to be honest hitv as done a lot for nigeria ,in term of breakg d back of multichoice,as provide thousand of nigeria jobs,creatg more money to dealers dan multichoice in terms of bad technical policy--today--changing of decoder,tommrw ,patch ur deoder,another paid to gtb.another buy e -pin ,another patch ur decoder to 2-0-7.somtimes come to hitv office--please let hitv subcriptionbe reversed back to 4000,i knew by nw many view center are ready to make more money-as most of dis view center as change to 70 naira frm 40naira.proudly nigeria

We thought that HiTV came to break the monopoly of Dstv but we did not know that HiTV was going to be the King of monopoly. Well, I am enjoying the DsTV entertainment with wonderful movies from MM1, MM2, Action, TCM, Mnet, Series,
Maybe, when the league start I will decide whether to subscribe or watch from viewing centres.

I think you are wrong, HW equipments are rugged and highly reliable, do not based your notion on the fact that the big two operators (MTN & Zain) in Nigeria have their doubt about HW equipments. Imagine, China Mobile, China Telecoms, Telefonica, BT, TATA, all using HW equipments whether ACCESS or CORE or VAS.
Again, saying HW is cheap is wrong, HW is just flexible when it comes to prices and payment.

HW is an end to end Telecommunication vendor with about 43% of it workforce in R&D.

right word guys, @4000 no correct movie channel apart from SET. we need movie channel likes of Fox movies, Sky movies, mbc, action etc, 
Imagine paying 6k for just soccer and news while competitors (MyTV & DsTv) are offering better packages with cheaper monthly rental.

I downloaded the software patch but when I tried to upgrade my decoder following the steps for HiTV site, i got an error message: memory error I have done this alike three times.
What do I do next?

Hello all, I have noticed that most of my stations are displaying no access, only Hi-Nolly, Hi Soccer and Hi Sport 1&2 are showing. I need to upgrade my strong decode.

I strongly believe that HiTV is loosing their focus, I am sure that several people with move to DSTV if HiTV subscription is 6000.

I have being paying monthly subscription but HiTV has being giving me 13/14 of the total package. This is definitely not a good service.

Many weeks have gone by and HiTV has not resolve our problem (disappearance of Hi life and Hi Kids). This is not fair. The upgrade is not the solution if another Smart Card shown Hi Life and Hi Kids

I'm not sure urfriend got it right when he said we needed to upgrade our strong decoders to get hi life / hi kids. A friend of mine brought his HITV smartcard to visit yesterday, we slotted it in and alas! Hi kid and hi life came up on my screen. Too bad they went off when i replaced the smartcard with mine.

I guess this proves that it may not be something to do with upgrading after all. Maybe we have just been moved to 2nd class subscribers category

My hi kids and hi life are still off. Urfriend promised to get back to us a couple of days ago. Maybe he forgot. I tried reaching customer care too but hit a brick wall. It's a bit frustrating.

My using a strong decoder and my Hi Kids and Hi Life has gone off air more than 4weeks ago. I rescan my decoder twice a day.
Please escalate our situation to HiTV management.

Yesterday, I went to the Sickle Cell Centre (Opposite LUTH) at Idi-Araba to make an inquiry about the centre’s hall.
To my surprise, a patient was being told to find help (treatment) some where else because the doctors are not available and will not be available till next week. The young one had a headache but there was no doctor or nurse to help him.
The scene got me thinking……

What is the purpose of this centre?
What if the patient situation worsens over the weekend?
What is the purpose of this centre if it can not offer help 24/7 to patient?

God help us in Nigeria,

@ Goldman08, please do not blame HiTV for adding, really we may not really need it in Lagos but of other locations outside Lagos.

Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Guus Hiddink as their new manager until the end of the season.

The Dutchman was quickly targeted as a replacement for Luiz Felipe Scolari, who was sacked on Monday following a poor run of results.
Hiddink, currently in charge of Russia's national side, was given permission by the Russian Football Union to hold talks with Chelsea, and will now combine the two positions.
A statement on Chelsea's official website read: "Chelsea Football Club are delighted to confirm Guus Hiddink will become temporary coach until the end of the season. He is due to meet the players this week.
"The club would like to take this opportunity to thank the Russia Football Union for their understanding and cooperation."
The wheels of the move were put into motion by Blues owner Roman Abramovich, who helps finance Hiddink's role with Russia.
And a short-term deal has been agreed which will see the former PSV Eindhoven and Real Madrid boss take charge at Stamford Bridge at least until the conclusion of the current campaign.
"It's to help out a friend. Abramovich is doing so much for Russian football and I want to do something back," Hiddink told Dutch Radio station 538.
"At the end of March there are two qualification matches, then again in June. So it is possible and at the end of the English season it's over.
'Within a few days I will go to London. I expect to be on the pitch next week."
He told Reuters: "It's never enough time to prepare a team in one week but this is an exceptional situation. Chelsea have good players and they should be in top form and that should make my job easier."
Hiddink also said he planned to attend Chelsea's FA Cup fifth round tie at Watford on Saturday.
Reports had suggested the 62-year-old is in line for a £2.5 million pay cheque for his four months in the Stamford Bridge hotseat.
But Hiddink denied his interest in the job was a result of the potentially enormous financial benefits and claimed he does not intend to put pen to paper on a contract.
"I don't have to sign one. It's not a question of money," he said.
Asked if he intended to bring any assistants with him to Stamford Bridge, he replied: "Not at this time."
"I always want to see the situation in the team myself first before making any changes if they have to be made," he added.
Meanwhile, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has been touted as the long-term replacement for Scolari, with the Italian rumoured to be ready to take over from Hiddink in June.

Russia's FA has given national team coach Guus Hiddink permission to coach Chelsea until the end of the season.

Hiddink told Reuters he had a special relationship with Chelsea's billionaire Russian owner Roman Abramovich and was approached by the Premier League club to coach the team after Luiz Felipe Scolari was sacked.
"I must say that this is an exceptional situation. If it was any other club aside from Chelsea my answer would be a straight 'No'," the Dutchman said in an interview at the Mediterranean resort of Belek during a training camp.
"But Chelsea is different because I have good relations with the (club) owner. So I would like to help them (Chelsea) in this situation if I could."
Russian FA general director Alexei Sorokin later told Reuters in a telephone interview from Moscow the temporary appointment would not pose a problem and had been given their approval.
"The timetable of the national team allows Guus to combine the two jobs," he said.
"The RFU is prepared to agree to this proposal, especially considering that the combination of the two jobs does not go against the provisions of Hiddink's contract with the RFU," an official statement read.
"The RFU is convinced that this cooperation will not impede the Russian national team's preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
"The RFU emphasises that Hiddink will continue to carry out his duties under the existing contract, which stipulates that he shall head the Russian national team until July 2010," it added.
"Details of (Hiddink's) combining the two jobs will be discussed during a coming meeting between the RFU and Chelsea managements."
Asked if this would involve working as a consultant for Chelsea's coaching staff, Hiddink said: "No, this would be a full managerial role, a day-to-day job.
"But this would only be for the next two or three months until the end of the season," he added.
"Of course when Russia would play (World Cup qualifiers) I would go there to coach them during that (international window) as there won't be any (league) games during that time.
"I have already done that (combining two jobs) a couple of years ago when I was coaching Australia and PSV (Eindhoven), so I'm familiar with the situation and what it takes."
