I'm happy she's alive...

Btw, may I use this opportunity to briefly talk about the 'NEW' NAIRALAND!

I've been a member of this forum for quite some time, so I think I can make an informed opinion (though unsolicited) about the current state of the forum...

Methinks @Seun and @lalasticlala are doing an incredible job in keeping the forum alive-especially in light of other competing forces! I really like the fact that the front page is regularly updated & breaking news are readily pushed to the front page!

Having said that, I think @Seun & the MODs must not forget that NL is a forum and not a blog! Thus, unlike lindaikejiblog that is currently struggling to survive because of strong competition from the likes of instablognaija & other Instagram blogs, NL is unique because it primarily relies on posts by Nairalanders.

Therefore, NL needs to ensure that only quality 'amebo' news make it to the front page. Front page Priority should be given to enriching threads. This will encourage more members to create threads. I am saying this because I just stumbled on so many wonderful threads that ought to have been moved to the front page.

Cheers to all Nairalanders!

I wanted to slap a mod the day I saw "Davido gave a beggar $20 in USA

Christianity is all lies. Its a fantasy created for control, to impoverish the masses and keep them humble.
No longer are chains and whips required, we can control people thru a promise in a book . The government loves evangelistic preaching . It subdues masses, keeps them paying taxes, makes them docile, humble meek low self esteem folks just waiting till death for some promises they will never get. Provisions, prayer requests, blessings for behavior, recompence for offerings and tithes, fruitful accomplished life , all this and more ....you gotta believe !! Faith and the promise of hope.... I hope none of you actually believed it and wasted your life doing as Christianity says! That would be a waste of life
And after all these epistles of yours, i have just a question to ask you which is; Is it your life?

This type of question on nairaland is actually good. It helps one to know who the kids are, the ones with low IQs, the ones that are uninformed and the ones that don't understand politics of war. Pathetic!
Did I insult you in any way, do you also know my age?
I am not saying the girls were not kidnapped but there's more to the deal than just releasing criminals for the girls in a Nigerian environment. If you can't think properly, order for brain on Jumia or Konga.

...even US negotiates with the taliban but that does not stop them from fighting each other
Not in a Nigerian environment oga. I know what I'm saying. What is the medium of negotiation?
Who are the negotiators?
BH will accept to release the girls after you release the captured girls knowing fully well you will come after them?
These released criminals have no addresses, phone numbers and data to be tracked when next BH strikes?

US paid ransome to AlQaeda to release some US citizens, how come they're still fighting?
Isreal exchanged some alleged terrorists for some of their captured soldiers including dead ones, how come they're still fighting?

Some of you are not ripe for political discussion.
How dare you compare educated and civilised terrorists with BH ?

If the FG truly negotiated with the BH they will definitely stop fighting and you know that's the truth in a Nigerian environment.

Macron wants to ease labour laws, boost
education in deprived areas, extend welfare
protection to the self-employed and re-energise
the EU while Le Pen announced plans to cut
immigration to 10,000 a year, punish outsourcing
by multinationals, and eradicate Islamism.

Hmmmm is it only Trump now? I reserve my comments
Politics › Re: Nigerians React To Buhari's Indefinite Medical Trip To London by donbrowser(m): 6:00am On May 08, 2017
Chibok girls released, President jets out but if truly the FG negotiates with the BH group how come the NA and BH still battle.
I am sure the ND boys will drop their weapons after negotiations but why is BH case different?

Btw Nigerians are gentle even if the president's seat is empty for 1 year. Life goes on.

Nigeria would have been in similar situation if not for repatriation from Nigerians living in diaspora. Imagine a staggering 22 billion dollars ( that is the ones accounted for) plus in 2015 and more than that in 2016. Imagine how bad it would have been for most family and business during this recession if they never had family and friends abroad extending financial help.

Venezuela stay strong and don't stop until this government leaves.

I pray one day we will wake up from our slumber in Nigeria and do same!
Exactly, I just wish Nigerians will wake up from praying in the corner of their rooms and expecting something to happen.
If just 1 Million people occupy NASS for 1 Month and halt every activity. You will the desired change we want but guess what
