The idea of using air flow to shield users from

designers developed a similar concept back in

The latest take on the Air umbrella uses a lithium
battery to power a motor and fan, which creates a
cycle of air flowing through its tip to deflect the
drops and form the protective layer. So how much

designers say at the current stage of development

people, though if the rain isn't too heavy more
people can be squeezed underneath.
The team is working on three models, all
resembling something of a detached shower head.
The first claims to be designed for females and is
30 cm (1 ft) in length and 500 g (1.1 lb) with a
battery life of 15 minutes. The second is 50 cm (1.64
ft) long, weighs 800 g (1.76 lb) and has a 30 minute
battery life. The third is extendable, ranging from
50 cm (1.64 ft) to 80 cm (2.62 ft), weighing 850 g
(1.87 lb), also with a 30 minute battery life.
With these battery times you wouldn't want to be
stranded in a rainstorm, but they might just be
enough to get you home from the bus stop without
becoming a cold, shivering mess.
The team is looking to raise US$10,000 on
Kickstarter for the production of its Air umbrella
and looks to be having reasonable success to date.
At the time of writing it has attracted almost
$12,000 in pledges with 10 days to run on the
campaign. Most of the early bird pledges are
already gone, with $108 the minimum pledge to
reserve the shorter "female" version of the
umbrella. Deliveries are slated to commence from
December 2015 if all goes to plan.

The Nigeria Football Federation have relieved Super
Eagles coach Stephen Keshi and his assistants Daniel
Amokachi and Ike Shorunmu of their duties following
Nigeria’s unimpressive run in the 2015 African Cup of
Nations qualifiers.
The Eagles are third in the Group A of the AFCON
2015 qualification table with just four points after
three games. The African champions lost to Congo
and Sudan and managed to hold South Africa to a
barren draw.
The Executive Committee of the NFF rose from its
meeting which started late on Wednesday,
immediately after the 3-1 win over Sudan, and ended
early hours of Thursday morning and opted to
remove Keshi and appoint Shuaibu Amodu as the
interim coach of the national team.
The one-time BCC Lions coach who qualified Nigeria
to its second World Cup appearance in 2002 and took
the team to that year’s African Cup of Nations finals
in Mali will be assisted by Salisu Yususf, Gbenga
Ogunbote and goalkeeper trainerAlloy Agu. The trio
will be in charge of the national team pending the
appointment of a foreign manager on a permanent
basis.
Keshi, Amokachi and Shorounmu will however
proceed on a coaching course at the expense of the
Nigeria Football Federation. Their entitlements,
according to the NFF, will be paid within the next two
weeks.
The team’s Secretary, Dayo Enebi, however retained
his job.
The NFF also confirmed the appointment of former
Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, as the new coach of the
country’s U-23 national team. Siasia will be assisted

are ignorantly made; mistakes that would have been
avoided if people knew better. Without further ado,
here are some of the mistakes

1. SHARING TOOTHBRUSH WITH THEIR MEN
The things I hear. Chai! Ladies share toothbrush with
their men in the name of love? Chineke Nna! Abeg
abeg, ladies stop sharing toothbrushes with your
boyfriends. This is not love, it is stupidity. Don’t get it
wrong, the ladies that do this are not necessarily
broke, so there is no way they would have been doing
it because of lack of money. They consider it an act of
love, an act of loyalty. Eww! Babes, show yourselves
some love, get your own brush. And when you are
going home, go with your toothbrush too. Stop using
your brush to claim space; the girl coming after
you’ve gone home will use your brush to brush away
dirt from her jeans. I tell you.
2. USING THEIR FRIEND’S PHONE TO CALL THEIR
MAN
As much as possible, do not use your girlfriend’s
phone to call your man. Especially when all your
girlfriends keep telling you “your man is hot.” The
thing is that one day, one of your friends might out of
boredom dial your man or vice versa and the rest as
they say will become history. Many have lost their
men this way. Don’t add to the number.
3. WALKING WITH THEIR BAGS ON THE SIDE OF
THE ROAD
Many ladies have lost their valuables by hanging their
bags on the hand that is on the side of the road. This
is very wrong especially when you are in crowded
cities or crime prone cities. Keep your bags away
from the road to avoid losing your valuables and
maybe your arm too.
4. BENDING OVER TO TALK TO A GUY IN A CAR
This is a common sight. A guy pulls up and winds
down; the lady bends over to hear what the guy is
going to say. Most often than not, the lady puts her
face right inside the car to talk to a total stranger. O
dikwa very risky. Some unwholesome guys might
make you inhale stuff that might compromise your
sense of judgement. When a guy pulls up with a car,
stand in such a way to force the guy to stick out his
neck to talk to you. It is better that way; don’t you
think so?

This is a dead pic of a robber who got electrocuted while trying to steal cable from a transformer just beside a house on Iju road by Lonlo bus stop. He apparently tried to steal the cable in the very early hours of today when he got electrocuted & remained in that position until residents woke up this morning. Residents say they are waiting for Government officials to come and carry his dead body
