Nigeria is experiencing hard times, some people refer to the situation as trying times. This feeling is borne out of the current state of the economy under the one year old administration of President Mohammadu Buhari – who took over power from Otueke-born Goodluck Jonathan. Goodluck Jonathan belongs to the PDP – that has steered the affairs of the Nation for 16 years. President Buhari assumed power after his fourth shot at the Presidency. His party, All Progressives Congress, has been PDP's main opposition before they clinched power with a mantra of CHANGE from ex- President Jonathan's “Transformation Agenda” One year down the lane, Buhari's administration has not been rated so well by the Nigerian populace because of the not-so-good economy, coupled with some Ministers with great flops their ministries. Below are some funny names these Ministers are being addressed: 1. Minister of Travel - Chibuike Amaechi – The former governor of Rivers state is Nigeria's Minister of Transport. Since his assumed the ministerial role, he has been travelling up and down with President Mohammadu Buhari, with no remarkable activities in his sector. 2. Minister of Darkness – Babatunde Raji Fashola – Fashola is Nigeria's Minister of Power, Works and Housing. The former of Lagos state is in charge of Nigeria's three powerful sectors. Lately, Fashola has been described as the Minister of Darkness, considering the terribel state of power supply in the country – worse than the previous administration. Recently, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator and the Chairman, Senate Committee on Domestic Debt and Loans, Shehu Sani lashed out at him for the darkness being experienced across the country. Sani described the drop in power supply as unacceptable and embarrassing. He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to rethink his way towards appointing a Minister who is not only an electrical engineer, but who has the knowledge of the industry. Also, few days ago, a Channels TV Presenter was spotted using Power bank on air – a testimony of undependable power supply. 3. Minister of Padded Budget – Udoma Udo Udoma – Udoma is the Nation's Minister of Budget and National Planning. Udoma has been described as the Minister of 'padded' budget, considering the imported figures and manipulations into the 2016 Appropriation Bill. 4. Minister of Lies - Lai Mohammed – Alh. Lai Mohammed is Nigeria's Minister of Information and Culture. Before his appointment, he was the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress. Lai has been described as a Minister of Lies beause of his defence manner of dealing with issues, even when reasons are obvious that things are not working well. Mr. Mohammed was a bone in the in the throat of the Peoples Democratic Party before his party, APC took over federal power last year. 5. Minister of Hard Labour - Chris Ngige is the Minister of Labour and Employment. Nigerians say there has been nothing from Ngige other than reports that he allegedly collapsed while defending the budget of his ministry before the House of Representatives’ Committee on Labour. More so, the manner of street-wandering by Nigerian employed youths make his appointment questionable. 6. Minister of Subsidy – Ibe Kachikwu . Ibe Kachickwu is Nigeria's Minister of Petroleum. Kachikwu has been referred to as the the Minister of Subsidy because of the recent increment in the pump price of Petrol, from N86 to N145 following the removal of fuel subsidy. Kachikwu claims that the removal is needful for the deregulation of the downstream sector, but some Nigerians' grief is that it should not come when all is not well with the Nation. https://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/funny-names-nigerians-call-president-buharis-ministers.214462/ |

Truly, Nigerians are groaning under Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola. Yesterday, the Senator Shehu Sani blasted the ministry most especially DISCO for distributing darkness to Nigerians despite introduction of new electricity bill. This Channel television photo is a confirmation of such groaning and national embarrassment to the country under President Muhammadu Buhari administration. The presenter was actually using a power bank during a programme. https://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/nigeria-in-darkness-channels-tv-presenter-uses-power-bank-on-air-photo.214332/

In Napoli, Italy, Anatolia Vertadella, a 101-year-old woman, has given birth to a nine-pound baby, named Francesco, after a controversial ovary transplant widely criticized by medical professionals because of her advanced age. The illegal and controversial surgical operation was done in a private clinic in Turkey, where European laws on ovary transplants do not apply. According to the centennial mother who does not wish to disclose the name of the clinic where the operation was undertaken, “I am very grateful to all the team of doctors who decided to go on with the operation,” she admitted in tears. “I am so grateful to have given birth to my 17th child. This is a true blessing and a testament to the power of the creator,” she told local reporters. “For so long, I have felt useless to God, I could not procreate since I turned 48 years old when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. For a long time I believed God was punishing me for only bearing 16 children, but in his godly generosity, he has granted me with fertility once again,” acknowledges the century-old fervent Catholic. Although he admits the procedure is highly controversial, Dr. Alexandro Popolicchi believes the ultimate decision was up to his patient to make. “Who am I to judge if it is the proper thing to do? She has given birth to a beautiful baby and this miraculous birth is definitely a gift from God!” he told reporters. “The operation was completely legal in Turkey and undertaken by a handful of expert surgeons. The lady is in great health for her age and I predict she has still a many good years in front of her to share with her child. So many children are born in this world unwanted or by accident. Is it not a beautiful thing to know this child comes to life in a loving home?” he asked reporters. Although Miss Vertadella’s husband has passed away since 1998, the century-old widow has managed to find a sperm donor to make the birth possible. “I met Francesco’s father on the internet while trying to find a father for my child. This 26-year-old man is a Catholic and that is all that is important to me. “I wanted my child to be born in a union sanctified by the Catholic Church. I know we are not married and that he will not play a part in Francesco’s life, but I have written to the pope to ask his absolution. I have also named my child after the pope in his honor and so I believe he should find a place in his heart to forgive me in this particular situation. I still love my deceased husband and desire to stay a widow until I leave this earth, but I needed the seed of this young fervent Catholic to fulfill God’s will,” she explained. The world’s oldest mother was previously believed to be Malegwale Ramokgopa, a woman born in South Africa in 1839 who allegedly gave birth to twins three days after celebrating her 92nd anniversary on October 3, 1931. so turkish parliamentarian also fight like their Nigerian counterpart A Turkish constitutional committee meeting descended into chaos when a verbal argument between the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and oppositional Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) spiraled out of control into a brawl. If you are not automatically redirected, click here. The feud is believed to have been sparked by a comment from Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ who blamed the pro-Kurdish HDP for instigating a similar scuffle on Thursday. The remark immediately drew the ire of the HDP’s MP Garo Paylan who labeled it “slander”. The deputies who were captured on video can be seen exchanging punches, standing on the tables and throwing water bottles at one other. At the center of the debate stand proposed amendments to the country’s constitution, aimed at stripping Turkish lawmakers of legal immunity. The motion is viewed by the HDP as an attempt by the authorities to pave the way for the prosecution of opposition MPs. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been accusing HDP of ties to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). In its turn, HDP blames PKK for an ongoing crackdown on the Kurdish population in the southeast of the country which the government has been conducting since August 2015. The previous round of punches prevented lawmakers from debating the legislation, meaning the meeting had been rescheduled for Monday. The Thursday row took a violent turn after LHDP rejected the amendments and demanded that the government withdraw forces from the embattled country’s southeast where it imposes strict curfews and allegedly deploys heavy artillery against the civilian population in a hunt for Kurdish militia fighters. https://www.rt.com/news/341650-turkey-parliament-brawl-constitution/ |

FP please so that people should see the scam called ITF and how to sort this out |
I did my IT (industrial attachment) about two years ago and before we proceeded to the training we were asked to update our bank details so that a certain amount of stipend will be paid to us ON or AFTER the training but its been two years now since we finish IT and no alert whatsoever with any name similar to ITF, UNITF, POLYITF, MONOITF or anything close to it, onfor or on behalf of ITF. when i asked some of my collegues and those that have done the training in the recent past whether they were paid during their own training. some said they can't remember and some bluntly said NO but none ever agreed that they were paid. then i start to wonder why were we decieved into believing that we will actually be paid and they never kept the promise or were we actually paid but the school never remitted it to us? or has they been any change that we are not aware of yet. although the money may not mean much to some students, but certainly it is a life saver to many others ( students understand what i mean). So if anybody has been paid before please let me know and also let me know the situation in your own school |
