Malware refers to software programs designed to damage or do other unwanted actions on your computer system. You can picture Malware as a Badware. The common examples of Malware include, but not limited to Viruses, Worms, Trojan horses and Spyware.



Recent findings by Panda Security showed that hack and intrusion last year is at a record rate and it looks like it will only get worse in 2016.


According to Panda Security, 84 million new Malware samples were detected and disabled last year which is 9 million greater than what was experienced in 2014. Unsurprisingly, 27% of all Malware ever recorded were produced in 2015.

Infact a type of Malware known as Trojan which seems like a legitimate software is responsible for most of the detected Malware.



How to Avoid Malware Infestation

-Get a good antivirus e.g Kaspersky, Norton etc  (preferably a licensed copy) 
-Update your antivirus frequently

- Enable pop-up blocker
