S5 duos model is pretty much your typical s5 snapdragon variant but with 2 micro sim slots, that's all.

At least that one won't be lagging like the Exynos.

Samsung went fully native on the S6. Everything, right down to the chipsets were Samsung made. They were trying to prove something to Apple, I guess. The Exynos chipsets they used is top notch and can only be compared to the latest snapdragon chip model, S810. However, from what I was able to gleaned from the leaked specs of Note 5, Samsung's romance with snapdragon just got better.

What about s5 duos?

Every smartphone lags in some capacity, some slightly more noticeable than others.

To enjoy your S5, it's highly recommended that you seek out the snapdragon variant, and upon acquisition, proceed to upgrade it to the latest available lollipop firmware, prompto. This should address any lingering software/hardware discrepancies like lag and overheating issues.

On G3, I read somewhere that it tends to freeze up sometimes, and the UI can get jerky when it overheats. The S5 of any model don't do this, even on their worst days.

One good thing about what people read online is that you can read any nonsense because nonsense people can write online too.

All in all, they are pretty much identical on stock Kitkat, if you don't put the differing chipsets and rom space into account, until you upgrade to lollipop, then you would start noticing the difference.

S801 variants have better battery backup, doesn't lag, doesn't heat up on heavy use which can be attributed to it's more efficient cpu optimization (inspite of having 4 powerful cores, only 2 get used for most tasks), slightly faster processing speed, download boosting (combination of LTE or 3g network with wlan simultaneously), fast charging (mine goes from 25% to 70% in 25 mins), smart transfer (you can transfer files from your computer to phone without the use of a USB cable: a lollipop feature only exclusive to S801 variants), and smart call (calling someone simply by placing your device to your ears: another feature only exclusive to S801 variants on lollipop).

So in the end, the S5 lags? U see?

Yep, Exynos variant is common in the African market. Doesn't support LTE network(not that it matters in Africa), unlike the Snapdragon variants. Mine is the European model G900f, which currently holds the reputation of being the best of all the GS5 models.

The reason people usually go for the Exynos variant can be split into 2: it's more readily available to customers and it's more affordable than the Snapdragon variants. Snapdragon variants usually ship with 32gb rom BTW, in direct contrast to Exynos' 16gb rom.

How is the Snapdragon version better than Exynos? Any particular thing it does better?

My S5 even when on Power saving mode is bright enough, especially on dynamic display mode. The same can't be said of G3 where it becomes so dark that you can barely see anything even when you're indoor.

Another point is cost of accommodation. I don't agree with you also. In as much as there are affordable houses in Lagos mainland, what about on the Island? Plus in Lagos you're mandated to pay for at least 2yrs.
In Abuja on the other hand, if you look for an apartment in Asokoro, Maitama, Garki, Wuse 2, Area 11,Cetral Business District (if ppl live there) you are going to get them very expensive. However, there are satellite towns...kubwa, Nyanya, New Nyanya, Gwarimpa, Gwagwalada, Zuba, Karimo, Maraba, Mpape, karu, Duse, Area 1 etc and accommodation is relatively affordable in these areas. So u can't really say Lagos is more affordable based on this.

I may have to disagree with you on cost of transportation cos I've stayed in both towns...transportation is even cheaper in Abuja. I know this one for sure, that doesn't mean your other points are completely true but transportation is completely false which means others could be false too.

Donhils. Power banks are good but they shorten battery life cus the more u charge the more circles deplet and battery becomes weaker. A phone that has lasting battery backup would make more than 2.5yrs on its battery without replacement because u dont need to charge it always. but a useless phone that sucks juice, and is addicted to ur charger always like charge 2-3 times a day will need replacement in a year or the battery will be terrible, get the science behind battery. There's no proof to the claim that charging shortens battery life and that cycle shit doesn't work with all batteries. I bought LG pro in 2013, I read the manual very well and read the battery care part. They said the battery could be charged as many times as I want and that there's no cycle. Guess what, in 2 months time now the phone would be 2yrs old and I've been charging it always (with big gen, small gen, nepa, powerbank, laptop, rechargeable fan, Infinix Hot note pro via usb on the go cable) and yet my ba3 has remained the same.

I have used the g3 and on my usage it last 5hrs. U said 6hrs plus dats wat phonearena said but do u care to look down at what the phone users themselves said? Pls check user reviews. Even on xda many people complain of poor battery backup 4-5hrs. Meanwhile g2 did 9-10hrs. M8 did around 9hrs xperia Z3 an z3 plus were the highest around 12hrs so G3 is far behind. Look i like everything about G3 and am a fan but when i used G2 i began loving G2 more just because everything went smoothly with the phone

So if they reported 6hrs plus and it lasted 5hrs, that means galaxy s5 they reported 7hrs plus would last 6hrs. I'm trying to compare it with S5. Have u used that one too?
Plus why would I get an Xperia phone that I don't even know whether Sony has got any service center in Nigeria and I also read the battery takes a whooping 3hrs 30mins plus or minus 10 to 15mins to charge.

I used this phone for some month before the real owners collected it from me. Everything about it was great. One of the best android phones i have used so far.

Abia. Even Infinix didn't claim it could charge like that. They said it can charge 70% in 30mins. However this is not always true cos by the time u subtract energy loss to the cable u'll see it can't get to that 70% in 30mins. Also, know that most phones slow down charging speed once it reaches 80% or 75% in some. So if that ur phone charges real fast, u'll top it from 0% to 100% in at least 1hr 30mins. Stop exaggerating.

Hello Everyone. I got an infinix hot note 2weeks ago, and ever since , the battery has not been lasting me for so long as being posted here. It last me for about 8hrs, on continuous usage i.e phone idle 0%. (I don't really do much on it) I only read stuffs online. but I do have so many apps running on it like whatsapp, badoo, fb messenger, uc, e.t.c PLUS its always on 3G. Could this be the reason why its running so fast? Or what should I do pls. But it last well if I'm not on the phone 24/7

Yeah, it's not common.

I want a new phone but just don't like S5, can't afford s6 and LG G4 cos they're over 120k each (can't pay such for a phone), xperia z2 screen and back scratches easily cos it doesn't have gorilla glass and charges very slowly, G3 is scarce. Don't know what to do again.

It doesn't have a led notification light at the front like the S5 but you can use the primary led flash at the back as a notification light. As for network and volume issues, it's all a myth. The phone is one of the best looking android smartphones out there, makes mine look ugly in comparison.

But it's scarce tho.
