koice: Dude, it's a known fact that charging phone via a lappy is more efficient than normal charging. Safer too. This is not an issue to argue over. Just make sure you used a cord that is recognizable to your system to enable a successful driver installation. I don't believe it. Number 1, no matter the cable I used to plug the phone I get slow charging displayed on my phone screen. In 2hrs I get about 54% though I don't switch it off but I still don't think it will make any difference. |

Elxandre: Check the power rating of your charger. Is it up to 2A? My charger is rated 1.8A, it's one BlackBerry charger that usually has very long cable. When I got it earlier, it was somehow fast. My phone gets filled in 1hr 58mins then. After like 3 months of use, the charging speed began to wane. Once it gets to 75%, the thing becomes extremely slow. Ok, once I had a Samsung charger rated 2A, that one too charged well for some time and became bad. The worst was the one that came with the phone when I bought it, 1.2A and it took 7hrs to charge completely. |

koice: It's from your charger joor. Get an original universal usb cord (cost 1k in some phone outlets), then plug it into a laptop's usb port, change the Usb option to 'Charge only', switch off your phone and then watch something fantastic take place. Uninterrupted, 2 hours, give or take, your LG pro will be fully charged. So you're saying that laptop charges faster than normal chargers? Remember, usb port from a laptop can dispense only 500mA, So how can it charge faster than my charger that's rated 1.8A? Plus switching off my phone has little or no effect on the charging rate. I just switched off now and charged for 30mins and guess what I got...23%. |
Phones › Re: LG Optimus G Pro Thread by donhils(op): 10:52am On Jul 02, 2015 |
koice: Why? Cos I don't like LG phones anymore. In as much as I have G pro, I'm not really enjoying it. They don't update their phones on time, up till now their phones are yet to have fast charge support, my g pro takes forever to charge and drains a lil too quickly for a 3140mah battery. The charging part is the most annoying part. And it's not faulty. So why would I want to associate myself with phones again when they can't deal with important things? Any phone that can't charge from say 5% to 100% in at most 90mins is a no go area for me . |

koice: Depends on your preference, really. G3 has a smaller screen of 5.5, the best screen resolution out there (538 ppi), while G pro 2 has a bigger screen of 5.9, lesser pixel density. They both have Corning gorillas glass 3.
G3 comes with Kitkat out of the box but upgradable to Lollipop, while G pro 2 comes with the latest version of Lollipop OS out of the box.
Chipset wise, they are both identical, the same with their cpu and gpu. Also, they both come with 3gb ram and Rom of 16gb (expandable to 128gb).
On the battery front, G pro 2 has an edge but only very slightly.
All in all, they are both super phones. Personally though, I would opt for G3 cuz, let's face it, there is nothing like a super FHD screen resolution powered by superior processors, 3gb ram and adequate battery input and output.
How much does a UK used G pro 2 and G3 go for? G3 has 2 variants, one is 2gb ram and 16gb rom while the other is 3gb ram and 32gb rom |

RandomVic: Ahh sorry I'm in Osun State where I school.
I may have scared you with my earlier post but its really not difficult to flash a new update be it a custom rom or an official firmware. You just have to be VERY watchful and on the ball to details. Ok, I'll do it but maybe when I'm ready I'll add you on whatsapp for prompt response. The Lg drivers you're talking about is the Lg pc suite right? I already have that one when I upgraded to kitkat. Then the Lg flash tool, I should do Google search for it? And finally to root my phone, which app do I need for it? And the cwm recovery tool. I hope you don't get pissed if I ask you too many questions, it's just that I haven't done any of these b4 |

RandomVic: First thing first you'd need to ascertain if its an official firmware from LG (kdz file) or a custom rom (zip file) from a techy somebody.
To flash an official LG firmware I.e a .kdz file is really quite straightforward. All you need to do is download LG drivers (very important), and LG flash tool, install both on your PC. Once you've done that let me know.
While the route to flash a custom rom is a bit technical you'd need to have your phone rooted - download the lollipop rom of your choice, a .zip file, put the Rom (zip) on your SD card - download and install a recovery (CWM) - boot to recovery - back up your current rom - then wipe and install the custom rom.
Just tell me which file it is, a custom rom or an official lollipop .kdz file? Do you know that if you're close to my location I'll like to meet you so you'd do it for me. I'm in Anambra State now, where are you? |

Luckily for me I found an official lollipop firmware from LG for my variant on Xda forums, it was a .kdz file about 1.5GB all I did wast to install it onto my G Pro using LG flash tool. Take it from me guy no wahala whatsoever albeit the official firmware not a custom lollipop rom from a third party though. I'm using E988 variant and I've seen the lollipop file on that same xda forum, I can download it but I don't know how to flash custom rom. Pls can you tell me step by step method of flashing this rom using Lg flash tool? I want to experience lollipop on my phone. |

Romance › Re: Photo: Married Man Caught Watching P0rn Movie In Public Transport by donhils: 11:43am On Jun 30, 2015 |
emmalezy: This man pictured below was in a bus with her last Saturday and he is soo addicted to porn that he couldn't resist doing it in a public bus in broad daylight. Hian!
Hello good day. I'm in a bus going from Ph to Onitsha and this man sitting in front of me, next to the driver starts scrolling through his videos and I saw some naked clips. I saw how he was trying to shield the screen of his phone so that neither the driver nor the passenger by his right will know what he's doing.
After 10minutes, he started opening porn sites and even trying to stream the videos, probably to see which one he likes well enough to download.
Now there are two reasons I took notice of this man plus mad at him for this action. 1. He's married. Because I heard him making a call to someone to take some money to his shop that his wife is there.
2. When the pastor who came into our bus to pray barely finished praying and the driver was ready to leave, the driver was even waiting but this man shouted at the pastor to get down from the vehicle so we can leave. Everyone in the bus was shocked.
Now my question is, why should a married man visit a porn site and even have tons of them in his phone? The devil must really be having fun with our generation of beings. I tried to zoom in and snap when he was streaming a video, don't know if it's clear enough. Mistakenly the flash was on when I snapped but no one in the bus noticed sha. Lol. I'll try to know if I can get more pictures
SOURCE http://www.reportnaija.com/2015/06/photomarried-man-caught-watching-p0rn.html Are you angry cos he was watching porn and he's married or are you angry that he's violating any laws of Nigeria? Some other married men do worse than watching porn. You don't even know whether he got them from his wife or he was learning new tricks and styles for his wife. Bottom line is next time, try minding your business!!! |

Reediano: Its neither software nor charger... Its the phone itself.
Am currently on a custom ROM and I mostly use my playbook charger because of the length and it still charges very fast.....
Once you have a 2a charger or something close, you are good to go That means it's charger. If you think it's not the charger then try using 1A or 1.2A charger and you'll see. If I use the Infinix Hot Note charger to charge my LG phone, it charges almost 2 times faster than my own 1.8A charger. |

funkyjms: The bundle will gradually fly away while your airtime will fly away in seconds. That's the difference. I won't say this again, don't leave airtime on the SIM you're using to browse irrespective you have bundle or not! These service providers, especially MTN, are crazy. Sometimes, dem no go even touch your bundle, na your money dem go dey comot.
Truth be told, your best bet is to learn how to turn off your data. The best way to learn this is to recharge #2500 again and forget to turn off your data She can have airtime in the phone provided she subscribed to a data plan. It's not everyone that likes carrying 2 phones around. |

4llerbuntu: Question:
The Quick Charge feature on this device, is it hardware based or software?
I'm guessing the people who have changed their ROM will be in the position to answer.
When u changed your ROM, did your device still charge very quickly?
If its software based, then it can be ported to other devices! I think it's the charger. |

iamsoja: For some weeks now my area has been having regular power supply, this is really odd as we are used to blackouts almost throughout the year. My sister in another state also said their power supply has really improved.
As Nairaland has people from all over Nigeria, opinions of people about the state of their electricity will be appreciated. They should not also forget to add the name of the town or city where they're talking about So that others from that same area can attest to or debunk it. |
