WhoDeyHause:I'm really surprised. I thought these guys wouldn't be on the market for a while. |
Ibime, I have taken note of your personal attack on me. Na you start am o. |
nateevs:Lukaku has decided to go full blown rogue. I am really shocked I swear. I fell for the emotional vibes he was giving us when we signed him. The fact that he was the one who pushed for the transfer to happen. How many interviews did this guy give saying he wanted to prove his doubters wrong here? I did believe this guy would be a super striker for us. Shame he has decided to turn into this. The club needs to keep him far away from the rest of the players lest he sows discord in the dressing room. Let them isolate him permanently till he resolves his issue while slashing his salary. |
User09:Kovacic and kante are extremely similar in their style of play. Kante edges him slightly based on energetic workrate. I don't see both of them working well in a 2 man midfield. |
Ibime:Popiziano and yourself are negatively biased towards jorginho so I don't expect you both to agree. I remember the days you constantly berated popiziano as foolish in his opinions. I don't even want to enter a back and forth exchange with you on this because you will never see any thing good with jorginho. An objective person would list out the good and bad qualities of a player and analyze accordingly as to how they fit a team but you would rather be blind to 5he strength of any player you hate and manufacturer opinions as to how everything wrong with the team rests on the shoulder of that player. You are biased. Goodbye. |
BlueMann:Recently, kovacic has been improving in his overall gameplay, both releasing passing and shooting, but his history does show that he lacks those qualities. |
raumdeuter:Just what is this idiot_ playing at?? So he really wants to leave Chelsea immediately?? All these is a ploy to force a transfer? Makachukwu, if I was the owner of Chelsea. I would ensure his career is ended immediately. He would sit on the bench for the 5 years of his contract. Instead of apologizing,he's doubling down on his obstinacy. This boy is an idiot_ |
I do agree that we need a new central midfielder. A midfielder with vision and shot power. Someone in the mould of Xabi alonso. Jorginho is our best passer, by that I don't mean by volume of passes made but by the quality of the passes. Jorginho passes the ball better than fabinho, rodri, hojberg. His passes are usually accurate and he has good vision, maybe like 75% compared to fabregas who was like 90%. Kante and kovacic are like 55%. They are terrible at passes which is why they prefer to drive and they do that well, but this is why they cannot play as a DM. They can only play centrally. |
BlueMann:The answer to your question is YES. Jorginho was present in our team when we won Liverpool away last season. Jorginho was present when we won mancity twice last season. Jorginho was present when we won ATM home and away, plus Tottenham twice. Our superb brilliant form early this season. Guess what, for most of these matches we won, Either kante or kovacic Were absent in some of them. Jorginho WAS the mainstay. I do not understand this desire to elevate one midfielder over the other. Kante, kovacic and jorginho are among the best midfielders in the world. But each of them have their shortcomings. We saw how brilliant kante was today in driving the ball and not being easily dispossed by the opponents but we also saw kante failing in releasing some through balls for the runners ahead or not being able to take shots from outside the box. Those last two qualities are essential for a central midfielder. But alas, it's a question of whether what they bring to the table is better than what their perceived weaknesses are. Jorginho has shown time and again his prowess in controlling the tempo of a game by short and long passing. By not being easily dispossed in the middle but he has very slow recoveries and lacks pace. Any functional midfield has to click together, have to complement each other to become unbeatable and ours simply haven't. I actually want kovacic and kante to also start the next few games in order for jorginho to recover and not burn out. But don't be surprised when our middle is also overrun because neither kante or kovacic can control a game effectively. They are both runners and are constantly drifting from the middle, hence disorganizing the shape and structure of the team. We need them all. And we need to make them click. |
Maximilan:He really is. Sarri really finetuned him very well. |
Nice game so far. I thought we've lost this one. Good mentality shown. Who be Lukaku? Havertz have to do more though. His frail physicality is not helping him. Mount too needs to do more. I'm happy all our midfielders are back. Now they can be rotated adequately. Liverpool have been brilliant in bypassing our midfield with long passes but kante-kova are recovering excellently. I hope we win this match. It's there for the taking. |
Tuchel is very unlucky. Soo many things just going against him. |
Na waoo. We have been fucking_up big at home this last 2 months. I really pity Tuchel. He can't do more than this. |
Our next 2 premier league games are season defining. Win both and we're back in full contention of the title. Lose both and we're definitely out. Tuchel, please rise up to the occasion. Ginger these bois. |
No jorginho but we're still using a back 5 formation. So we are we "protecting"? I told you people, it's all assumptions. You guys will just choose to believe whatever you can to downgrade jorginho. Both teams are depleted, kind of. But we know Salah, mane, vandyke and Fabiano are the core of Liverpool. So they are still as strong as can be. I just hope our attackers are up to it today.

I know we all have a right to our opinions but goddamit! some people do misuse that right. You call yourself a Chelsea fan. A fan of one the top 10 biggest clubs in the world out of hundreds. A key player who signed for your club goes rogue and goes public in criticizing your manager and openly flirting with another club inversely disregarding your club from the board who signed him to his teammates who play with him to the fans who support him. And your instinct after seeing this is that of rationalization ![]() Your pride is supposed to be punctured. You're not supporting westbrom or Cardiff. It's CHELSEA!! One of only 8 clubs in the world to win the champions league TWICE. We have been winning without him! With or without him, we can succeed. We have the attacking power to do without him. I praise tuchel for his decisiveness. A message has to be sent to all players that such insurbodintion will not be tolerated at this big club. |
If Lukaku has truly been dropped, then nice one by the Coach. It's the logical thing to do. No player is bigger than the club. Not even Messi or Ronaldo. There has to be consequences for callous words and actions like that. Lukaku has to publicly apologize and recant his statement before he plays again. |
Kifeyous I like your pencil drawings. They're beautiful. |
Other coaches rating our own player and we will be hear mocking them. You don't know the value of what you have until you lose it
|
Theuniverse:Try to be using better punctuation. Your post always looks clustered. Try to use good spacing and paragraphs. |
Ibime:These are always your assumptions. You are the one who has managed to convince himself that Tuchel's system right now is all In an effort to "protect" jorginho. You mean protect a player highly sought by the world's best coaches?? If guardiola had his way, jorginho will be in his squad now in place of rodri. The same rodri who you have always castigated. Maybe guardiolas system is also protecting rodri, right? |
MorataFC:You're dreaming at this point. Mancity's recent history shows they wouldn't drop as much points needed to lose the title. They are just too dangerous. Games like today are the ones you would expect them to drop but they always find a way to win. This season they've beat arsenal home and away, Chelsea at Stamford bridge, manunited at old Trafford. Who do you think would stop them? |
popizaino:You are speaking from hindsight. If Chelsea had hired pep instead of Mourinho, that period before he went to Bayern and he hit a rough patch like tuchel now, we would most likely have fired him. Chelsea fans don't waste time in turning on their managers. |
It's just like yesterday I made this post. I now sound so stupid in having this monologue. Shame we failed again donjazet: |
I swear I'm so pained right now looking at the league table. How did we go from topping mancity with 5 points to behind them with 11 points in one month ![]() |
airmark:Indeed you've just made my point. We already have our own partey in kovacic. Shields ball well { difficult to disposess}, drives the ball well enabling faster transitions from defense to attack. But they both lack good passing and shot power. As you've said, Guardiola will hate a partey or a kovacic because both dwell on the ball. Rodri, jorginho, busquet, kimmich. These will be his ideal anchors. |
NinjaXmetahuman:Good one. This is why I always get angry with the fickle fans here. We have had Soo many managers who would have built a recognizable philosophy and pattern of play for us but were chased out the door at the first sign of trouble. My fondest memories were that of scholari and Ancelloti. These coaches played an ultra-attacking system that if we had stuck with them would have delivered us more league titles. Even Sarri too. I keyed into what he wanted to do for us. I remember being curious to know why the club just hired a "nobody" in football and researching his style and I liked it. Every body knew that Sarri needed time for his vision to materialize but nobody was willing to give that time. The prospect of immediate success is too enticing. So here we are, stuck in a cycle of never building success. Just being averagely competitive, stuttering into cup finals and winning some. Always left with a squad full of players unsuitable to the coach. Never being a firm favorite for the title despite spending as much. Lack of continuity. I could go on and on. I yearn for a pragmatic building of success. |
Havertz10:Indeed posting stuff like these makes one appear as a killjoy. Days like these are largely symbolic. It depicts a general growth of all of us. A day when every Human being can sit down and think about the direction of their lives. Where they are now and where they envision themselves to be. It's unnecessary minimizing it. |
airmark:I really did enjoy watching partey, both the way he shields the ball and also drives with it. But his passing is shambolic. Its difficult to replace someone like jorginho because you have to know what exactly you want in a DM. In my mind the only sensible replacement for jorginho is someone like rodri. Someone who can sense spaces to pass the ball into. Gone are the days when DM were known for their defensive aspects of game like tackling, clearances, blocks etc. It's now more of a being an anchor in an attacking system. You must know how to be a good PASSER of the ball. A good pass has to have the right amount of power to reach its intended target and jorginho is our best passer right now. I laugh when people are hyping up runners like bissouma and hjoberg. These players would be incompatible to our system as a DM. |
Jodera:You guys have the advantage Chelsea had under conte. Not having the distraction of European games meant enough time on the training ground to understand what the coach wants to implement and also limited injuries to the squad. |
Mancity are just unstoppable. Bulldozing their way through the league. What Guardiola has done to his team is what we thought was unthinkable. We like to say the EPL is the best league in the world because of how competitive it is, that teams like Madrid, Barca, Bayern, juve would struggle in the EPL because the midtable teams here are stronger than their counterpart in other leagues. That having to face teams like arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, westham, wolves every week would mean you MUST drop points. But every season, Guardiola makes his team go on long winning runs, beating the best there is. Playing in every final of every competition. For the sake of banters, people might continue to say he's a fraud or whatever, but if you're true to yourself, you would see that this man is a master tactician. He builds a system that enables his players to thrive and grow into a unit that bulldozes any opponent they meet. Guardiola IS the best coach in the world. He has earned my respect. |
Guardiola has now won 10 consecutive league games in a row for the 3rd time in 4 years. This man is a good coach Sha. Yes he has more benefits than other coaches are afforded but it takes a great deal of know how to be this consistent. I mean, we are in an era where you have 5 genuinely strong English teams and you're consistently on top. I used to rate Mourinho over Guardiola based on the strengths of teams each used to become successful but Mourinho has now fallen off the map, giving Guardiola a clear advantage. Guardiola keeps amassing trophies year in, year out. Guardiola is now the current best coach in the world, heading to become the greatest of all time. I duff my hat. |
