Does Globalization mean equality? Does Communism/ Socialism mean inequality is non existent in these societies? How does speaking same language guarantee equality or a united world? France speaks the same language, are they United with African countries that speak French? Are they equal?

The era of compulsorily teaching foreign languages in our schools no longer exists, that was decades ago! Right now, schools are making conscious efforts to promote indigenous cultures through language and dressing. You need to visit some schools on Fridays and see what they are on about.

I have not made any point pertaining to equality today. Unity doesn't necessarily mean equality. That's definitely a different argument.

I'm stressing on the possibility of a black man from say, Gabon traveling tonight to Siberia, meeting a white native and instantly understanding her without both seeing any social differences in themselves. Just an example of the utopia I'm talking about.

Nobody is saying that a universal language is enough alone to guarantee world peace. Nobody is saying that everybody speaking the same language will eradicate all differences.

But it will incontrovertibly HELP TOWARDS THAT. Towards us seeing ourselves as ONE same species. Beyond race, beyond tribes, beyond old societal structures.
The key to any relationship in the 1st place is understanding. Differences in language highlights the societal division amongst us. Language is afterall a human construct.

If I can't understand what you say, how do we even get anything done. Different languages are essentially useless to us as a society. And moreso, I am not necessarily advocating for one particular language over the order but outlining the reality that there are already 3 or 4 major languages in the world that have subdued the other languages. These languages are definitely the languages for the future. English, Arabic, mandarin.

English language is like a river, it welcomes terms and words from other languages, it has been diluted so much that it's no longer what its original speakers used

If the argument is which is better or easier to learn, then that's a different conversation but we humans need only 300k words to communicate properly

In a day you don't use more than 2000 words, if a language is broadly used and it's easily accessible, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't become a general language for the world
All these tribal hype and cultural protections aren't helping anybody, they provide aesthetic appeal and sow unnecessary divisions among people that don't have any reason to be divided

In all schools all over the world, students are compulsorily made to learn a foreign language. Ours was french.

These are all baby steps in ensuring that we assimilate and understand each other better.

Before Europeans came to Africa, you would not see any name like Andrew, Lawson, Abraham, jack.
These names were acculturated. It's usually south south people that started answering the name of their colonizers and made it part of their cultural identity. Although same can be said for the converted christians and moslems who started answering Hebrew, Jewish and Arabic names like Emmanuel, John, Mohammed,Isaac etc. I'm assuming that's his position though.

Language is only but an aspect of culture. Culture is also ever evolving, it loses and gains aspects of it.
The Igbo people today now have a culture of commerce. Vast majority of Igbo go into businesses, relatively more than any other tribe in Nigeria. This was often not the case though.

Parts of culture have had to be shed for the greater good of society. Ibos and surrounding tribes used to kill twins, it was a cultural thing. Yorubas used to behead Kings slaves to bury them together with him when they died. Yorubas also inherited their fathers wives {their own mother}.

All these aspects of culture have been shed, that doesn't mean the Igbo or yoruba culture is dead.
Many tribes around the world have lost their language but retained their cultural identity. From parts of Europe, to Egypt in Africa, to some native indians in America, both north and south.

I won't waste my intellect on you anymore, you're not worth it, now I see why Ibime and the rest called you a fool. Ibime I sincerely owe you an apology for attempting to defend this empty head. I won't make that mistake twice.

Away from football. For those of you that take pride in speaking English and even using it to access my level of knowledge you can see what a well traveled Nigerian is saying about it. We are in a rut right now. Our form is bad. We can all agree that the loss of form is down to factors we can see with our own eyes. Jam-packed fixtures and accumulated injuries.

We also had injury crisis when the league started, don't forget that kante, pulisic, ziyech, havertz and odoi {COVID}, were all unavailable when the League started, the difference between now and then was that we played only 3 matches in August and 6 matches before the international break. So players had ample time to recover and try and regain fitness

Now we're having 6 games in 15 days. Even a 2 week injury means you lose a lot of crucial matches.

When a team loses form like this, the team morale drops, individuals start making mistakes, doubt creeps in. It becomes difficult to win games easily. That's what's happening to us.i just hope we arrest this slump soon enough. Precedence shows otherwise which is my fear.
