One way I found that pretty easy is to add that gmail account that all your contacts are backed up from Android to your iPhone and they should sync down to your phone or add it in iTunes. Another way is using Phone to Phone Transfer to. Just one click, the contacts will be switched between two phones.

Thats a good idea, you could also use SHAREit.

I can't say which is faster, I have used them all, and the winer is Shareit.

Maybe you should take time to digest the contents of my previous post. I never claimed that Apple fans sole driving force was user experience, I gave my view of their unique strength. When it comes to why Apple marketing is effective I opined that Apple's success is not unique but uniquely sustained. All top brands use the variations of this same type of marketing even though the results vary. Apple has managed to sustain their success right from the first set of "Job days".

I wasn't trying to dispute your opinion, I quite understand what you mean, don't take it wrongly, love your post by the way.

While I consider calling Apple's marketing techniques brainwashing conspiracy theory talk, I think it is worthy to note why it is so effective. Apple touts their products as the bees knees and having used some Apple products I am convinced they only have one unique strength and that is user experience. Apple software has this simplicity that is very unique but aside that every other thing is on par with what one will expect from a pricey device. In fact I could even argue that Apple hardware in some cases do not give you value for money.

So what is the big deal about Apple products? I think they invest very much in grabbing the imagination with a blend of marketing and aesthetics. You could almost call the combination subliminal because it just grabs your imagination out of nowhere. A lot of successful products use the same marketing. For example Honda End of Discussion (EOD), when the advert debuted it captured everyone's attention to the extent that till tomorrow EOD is still the name. Any very successful product follows the trend. Apple is however unique in keeping that success going for long. Let's see how they can carry on in the future.

Only a fool will deny the fact that Apple is a premium brand, however, user experience does not explain why someone who already has the iPhone 5s would be so obsessed with getting the iPhone 6 when the two are basically the same. The so called innovation on it is like two years old on other platforms. The design is basically the same.

I think this beyond user experience, I am saying its possible that the innovation in the IPhone is the ability of Apple to 'ARTIFICIALLY' create USER SATISFACTION in the mind of their consumers.

Brainwashing is not something new to us, but how do you convince someone that he or she has been brainwashed.

Blackberry was almost dead but for new nice products which The company introduced to re launch itself. Many blackberry users jumped ship when they saw better products.

HTC has been recording losses for sometime now even though the company produces great devices, apparently, customers were less than satisfied.

Samsung has also been experiencing losses in recent times due to low sales, bla bla bla... Bottom line is that customers are less than satisfied. Other companies are experiencing losses and some have gone under.

But which company are consumers never dissatisfied with, APPLE.

So what is it about apple that:
-people are ready to pay so much for whatever apple dangle in front of their eyes.
-Consumers actually make excuses on behalf of the company as to why one of their products has a design defect.
-someone (Chinese teen) would sell his kidney to get an ipad.
-people would queue for weeks to get a phone which has not even been announced. Obviously, since these are Apple 'nuts', they already have the iPhone 5s, but why won't they wait till the iPhone 6 is announced, released and available in stores so that they can just walk into a store and pick one up. The 'unfunny' joke is that iphone 6 is not even an upgrade over the iPhone 5s.
-people are so 'susceptible to suggestions' the company makes. For example Apple said small phones were ideal, Apple consumers believed it and condemned bigger better phones. Guess who is celebrating a bigger iphone today...
-The list goes on, and you have seen more than these.

One of the possible explanation for this 'buying behaviour' is BRAINWASHING. You heard me, brainwashing.

Maybe people are brainwashed when they use certain apps or the OS itself broadcasts subliminal messages, who knows. Personally, I'd like to see what will happen if politicians campaign on iphones, will it lead to a landslide victory or confusion. Who knows.

Don't attack me, or how else would you explain why people behave like ZOMBIES when they see the Apple logo.

Hello Phone geeks,
I reside in a locality with obviously present MTN 3G network signal. I know so because it appears on my BlackBerry Touch 3.
Buh unfortunately, my tablet registers the same network as EDGE.

From time to time though, the tablet registers a H or H+ signal; buh It is quite rare.
However, there are some towns I've been to and I get a steady H or H+ signal. So with that in mind, I know the tablet is not allergic to good quality signals afterall.

Now my questions are thus:
1) why is the tablet not registering at least a 3G Network in my current location, since the BlackBerry 'says' there is such network available?

2) is there a manual configuration I could use to override an automatic selection of signal type?

Yes you can override it manually, just open SETTINGS - MORE NETWORK - MOBILE NETWORKS - NETWORK MODE - then choose WCDMA ONLY.

Switch to flight mode and back.

You are good to go.

Blakjewelry: why is it that whenever a scientific subject is discussed the first thing that comes to the mind of an average Nigerian Christian is that the subject is to discredit God. water from before the sun simply means trillions of water molecules existed in space before the formation of the solar system.

Why is it that when scientists discover something they don't understand they quickly invent a ridiculous unverifiable theory to explain it.

How many discoveries have you read about of water in space or other planets, yes water is that scarce. However, the earth has an abundance of water, how can you say such aboundance came from space where scientists can't seem to find even a moderate amount.

By the way, the idea of water floating around the vacuum of space is just ridiculous.

The quantity of water on this plannet could not have come from space, why is it that there is no evidence of this happening in history. Also water is so scarce in space that it has rarely been reported, it is probably not on any other planet on our solar system.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A man who has bumps resembling horns implanted in his forehead was found guilty of murder and other charges Friday for his role in the kidnapping and slaying of three Massachusetts men in 2011.

"I'll see you all in hell," Caius Veiovis, 34, of Pittsfield, yelled at the jury that convicted him after deliberating over six days. Veiovis also was convicted Friday of kidnapping and intimidation of a witness.

The dismembered bodies of David Glasser, 44; Edward Frampton, 58; and Robert Chadwell, 47, of Pittsfield were found buried in nearby Becket 10 days after they disappeared in August 2011. The killings shocked Pittsfield, a town of about 41,000 in northwestern Massachusetts. The trials were moved to Springfield.

Two co-defendants in the case were convicted of the same charges earlier this year. They are serving life without parole, the mandatory term Veiovis faces at his sentencing Monday.

Prosecutors said Veiovis helped Adam Lee Hall, 37, of Peru, and David Chalue, 47, of North Adams, kidnap and shoot the victims weeks before Glasser was to testify against Hall, a Hells Angels member, in an assault case. The others were killed to eliminate witnesses, prosecutors said. Defense attorneys argued there was shaky evidence.

Berkshire District Attorney David Capeless said he is gratified by the verdicts and hopes it helps the victims' families by ending "the constant reminder to them of what has happened to their loved ones," the Springfield Republican reported.

Defense attorney James Reardon Jr. said he disagrees with the verdict but respects the jury's diligence, the Republican reported. "I always have confidence in juries, and I still believe strongly in the American jury system," he said. He said Veiovis has an automatic appeal, and he hopes the verdict is overturned.

Reardon said before trial that he was concerned Veiovis's appearance might influence jurors, and potential panel members were asked about it.

Veiovis, formerly a resident of Augusta, Maine, has a 666 tattoo between two rows of forehead bumps, and other facial and neck tattoos. He legally changed his name from Roy Gutfinski Jr. in 2008 while serving more than seven years in a Maine prison for an assault with a razor followed by licking the teenage victim's blood, the Kennebec Journal reported.
