There are thousands of ways to make money at this age and I won’t be wrong to say millions of ways.

The internet has opened up vast creative opportunities for those who are ready and smart enough to do so, how far you go or how much you make will then depend on your consistency and skills sets.

For most Nigerians, especially the younger generation online side hustle is the best and easiest way for them to make extra money and some of the channels are;

1. BLOGGING.

This is one of the easiest ways to make money online, you can easily set up your own blog by using .com or with this you can set up your blog within an hour, find a niche, like Fashion, Entertainment, Sport, Relationship write about any this that you can do passion consistently and continuously with tiring, and read up how to market/promote your blog to your target audience, if you do and get this right the next thing is to monetize your blog by applying for Google Adsense or other advertising sites and voila you’ll start making money.

2. SELL ON JUMIA OR KONGA

Do you have a brother or sister that has shops and sells stuff like body cream, clothes, electronics etc?

Then you should consider marketing and selling their stuff on Jumia or Konga.

It’s incredibly easy to list your items for sale, and you’d be surprised how much you can get as profits.

3. ONLINE FREELANCING

There is a whole lot of freelance work online these days. You can sign up for sites like Fiverr, or you can even become your own online freelancer like many others advertising their services to friends, families, acquaintances, and followers on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.

One of the more popular ways to make money freelancing right now is by doing SEO consulting. If you’re a little savvy and analytical, you can make N5000/hr or more. Check out the free SEO Consulting Course online to get started.

You could also do something like proofreading or transcription work. Many bloggers and authors need proofreaders to make sure their writing is on point. You can learn how to get started proofreading for bloggers and others.

4. eBOOK PUBLISHING

Have a story you want to tell, a problem you want to solve be it in place of work or relationships, something you want to teach? Maybe you should write an eBook and sell them on Amazon, Okada, LinkedIn or even Facebook. I have a friend that has made a living selling eBooks about financial topics and selling content online.

President Buhari not against the use of card reader for 2019 Election – Garba ShehuPublished 20 mins ago on September 9, 2018 By Don Mayor

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu through his twitter handle released series of tweets as regards the stand of President Buhari on the use of card reader for the forthcoming election and why refused to sign the bill into law.

Shehu’s tweets.

The Presidency rejects allegations of opposition politicians, as well as some newspaper editorial opinions creating the impression that President Muhammadu Buhari is against e-voting, the use of card readers in the upcoming elections, hence his decision to decline assent, for the third time, to the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2018.
We wish to state in clear and unambiguous terms that the issue of e-voting and use of card readers was NEVER an issue for the President’s decision to decline assent to the Bill.

“We Shall Continue To Fight And Advocate For Justice And An Egalitarian Society Till We Achieve One” – Adeolu Adedokun

Yippee Africa, It is another #GoForIt Interview. Today, Adeolu Adedokuntalks to Isola Akinwale on leadership, development and politics among other things. Enjoy…

As a social change agent from Saki west local government area of Oyo state, what’s your view about Politics?

Politics in the real sense is a multifaceted concept, it is an act or a way of life by which there’s an organized control over a certain community of humans whereby decisions that determines their well-being and good living are being made. Although it can and often does carry a negative meaning especially with the way it is played in this part of the world. Politics should be a transparent ‘game’ whereby the power solely belongs to the people and they only bestow such powers to the persons who have being tested and are really trusted. Politics is about power and that’s why we have so many political views and ideas. Nigerian politics has been bastardized and there is a dire need for its urgent rejuvenation. We need to engage the recent but effective servant-leadership concept; leaders who will see political office as a privilege to serve humanity and not a right to be authoritative and imposing. We need leaders that will take politics as an avenue to give back to the society and make the world a better place to live in.

What issues are the most important to you in politics?

Politics is a way of life and like I have rightly stated earlier, politics is the process of making decisions that apply to members of a group. The issues that are most important to me in politics are community and human development; making the world a better place as much as we can. The people and the community should be made to improve and grow positively. The resources should be judiciously utilized to bring about desired sustainable developmental goals and we are in luck to be alive during the days of the campaign and implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development goals, such every teenager, youths and teeming leader should integrate into their plans for the society!

What’s your view about the concept of development?

Concept of development is a thought or notion whereby ideas graduates to concepts and then to products or delivery. It is a set of activities that are carried out to collect and prioritize needs and challenges, develop alternative concepts and ideas to meet the needs and problems of a particular group of people by adopting the most preferred and realistic means possible with the available resources and present economic situation. The concept of development is basically influenced and determined by the actors on the field, their intellectual capabilities, willingness and readiness would determine the result. They must be ready and prepared in order to being about a desired developmental change or goal.

As a young and vibrant leader who has led so many struggles while on campus and thereafter, are you not worried about the level of our development in Nigeria? What is  your assessment?

Sincerely, the level of development in our dear country is worrisome. We are like kings living as slaves. We have so many resources, yet we live in penury. I have not traveled wide and far, but I read news and I watch documentaries. Our leaders have failed us in a lot of ways. That’s why some of them after realizing the shame and disappointments they brought us are coming back to issue letters and ask for forgiveness. Posterity shall duly judge us all.

We have tried in our capacity to lead struggles and fight for human right, but one of the challenges we face is disloyalty from fellow citizens. Most of us are cowards. Until we can collectively and courageously fight this cause, our story will remain same. We need to take the bull by the horn and do the needful. We should act now or never. We are no longer kids and youths. We are adults with intellects and agility. Let’s redefine and recreate our own Nigeria! Let’s make it a saner country. May God help us, but we need to help ourselves first.

In your candid view, why has development continue to elude local government areas in Nigeria?

This is simply because our leaders are more interested in their pockets than in community development! That’s why some NGOs impact the lives of citizens more than the government. Governance should be centralized; we should give autonomy to the local government authorities. They are closer to the people and they know what’s best for the grassroots.

We shall continue to fight and advocate for justice and an egalitarian society till we achieve one.

What’s your take on the performance of past governments in Oke Ogun area towards sustainable growth and development?

You mean the past governments that have all failed us? That’s the bitter truth. They keep giving one excuse or the other. There’s no excuse for failure. Why contesting when you know you won’t perform.

What’s your take about the significance of youth’s adequate representation in politics and governance?

I hope we youths realize that we reserve the rights to inquire from these authorities and exercise such powers that keeps them on their toes towards adequate performance. We can stone and unseat them if we wish. They should be responsible to us and they should always report to us. If they fail, we should issue them ‘red card’!

Oke ogun is poorly developed because we don’t know our electoral rights and privileges. We have so many resources that are wasting away.  We need to oust them to use both human and natural resources.

We have youths and we have active youths in developed countries of the world, the aged are made to retire and youths are put in positions of authorities. The youths are loaded with a lot of initiatives and innovations and they should be tasked to use these ideas and knowledge to develop our country. The youths should be adequately given a space in governance. We are no longer leaders of tomorrow because the tomorrow is now. Right now!!!

In conclusion, could there be any prospects as regards the issue of development in saki,Oyo state & Nigeria in diaspora?

Yes! Aluta Continua…… Victoria ascertia.  In other words, lalucha continua……Victoria cierto.  We shall continue to fight and advocate for justice and an egalitarian society till we achieve one.  We need conscious minds and eggheads to help identify and tackle the various problems predominant in our country, state and region and help tackle them appropriately! Together we can achieve a saner Nigeria. Thank you very much!

The coast seems clear now for the former wife of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, to remarry if she wishes, as the customary bride price paid by the revered monarch has been returned fully from the elders of Queen Zynab’s Family in Benin City, TheBossNewspaper reports. .
.
According to a source in Benin, the Ooni was initially reluctant to collect the bride price, but was persuaded by the Elders as a way of closing the controversial marriage and separation. “She’s free now, she’s free…,” the Ooni was quoted to have exclaimed afterwards. .

Foreign AffairsDavid Cameron Resigns As UK Shocks The World By Voting For Brexit by donnn(op): 8:44am On Jun 24, 2016
http://zesthub..com/2016/06/david-cameron-resignation-speech.html

Britain has voted to leave the European Union, with the Leave campaign securing around 51.8 per cent of the vote.

David Cameron has resigned as Prime Minister in an emotional speech outside 10 Downing Street.

While England voted overwhelmingly for Brexit, Scotland and Northern Ireland backed Remain. Statements are expected to be made by Sinn Fein and the SNP later today calling for a breakaway from the Union. London backed Remain but the turnout was lower than expected because of bad weather.

The pound crashed to the lowest level since 1985 as sterling fell below $1.35. Complacency about a Brexit outcome will come clear this morning, as out of hours trading suggests that the FTSE 100 will drop by 8.8pc, or by some 560 points. The fall would be the third worst in history if stocks ended the day down as sharply.

It is almost two years now that we have carried out the mandatory industrial attachments that Nigeria educational system forced on Nigerians students. Though, this is not the issue but the non payment of the expected allowance after fulfilling all righteousness; including the rigorous screening at ITF office. With budgetary allocation that has never stop for this agency, it is quite unfortunate and discouraging that there are 3 set of students (across Nigerian Tertiary institutions) that have not been paid their allowances which is an average of #10,000 per head. So, I call on all Nigerian Students to demand from ITF that #ITFpayusourallowance. I call on Nigerian legislative house, EFCC, ICPC, DSS, educational activists and other well meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of Nigerian students

. . . . . . . . . . . . . *...COMES HIS DEPARTURE...* . . . .

And then he was like, "you are the only undergraduate between us, I'm now a Graduate, I'm home now". Words alone cannot express the tuggings I felt in my heart as I remember that truly, there is no Bisi to look forward to meeting, come next semester.

I remember the first day we met-pity I don't know the date and have lost a diary that could have recorded it- he came with Tosin on this fateful night(meanwhile, I met T-babs the evening before while in a hurry to go get some materials from a friend of blessed memory and I was just too busy to give him the time of the day, funny enough, I gave him my room number, X105.) & on this night, there was no light, plus, I was not feeling too good about meeting him as regards the way I treated him the day before, so I tokd roommates to say I was sleeping, which they did. Maybe you believed them or not, I don't know. But that thing called *fate* carried me off the bed on my feet and right outta the room, I think they were three guys in totality. And this started my story with Olabisi.

Now a graduate of OAU, Est. Man., EDM. Former president EMSA.
Bisi, you've been so good to me and if I'm to be asked the best people I met on OAU campus, you'll rank high on the list.
Humble; I still can't believe I had so close a relationship with you, not regarding the differences in our status and all.
Patient; I remember how frantic you sounded in EMSA's dinner night, your coming around to Moz, and even spending time knowing my roommates.
Oh, very caring; one of your best attributes, u remember the sunday I was sick and I'd not even stayed in HC 10 mins before you came in and stayed the night. He was even more active than the rest, getting the drugs, sitting by and petting me, even till we got back to the room shortly before 10. Bisi still came the next day all dressed up, a pointer to the fact that he had a busy day, but could still make out time for me, Oyinlola, aren't I special? I can't just begin to mention other instances whereyou've show-cased your loving and caring nature.
Open; always ready with a piece of word or the other, don't worry, I'll remember your advice. Hey, I rem that night we were at Anglo moz together till midnight, my first stay ever at Anglomoz, well worth it though, getting to know you better and that your former course at the polytechnic, is it Hotel management or what sef?

See, your attributes are just so ingrained in you, they make you who you are and make me love you all the more for it.

I'll miss you Bisi, I'll miss coming to Faj,blk 4 Rm303/307 to see Ojogbon, Alase and Albert.
I'll miss your coming down to Moz, I'll miss my seeing you to no where else except front of health Centre. I'll miss telling people, "that's EMSA's president, he's Bisi."

I regret not coming your faculty more than once.
I regret not knowing you since about 4 years ago.
I regret the fact that I had to enjoy your company for just one session.

I'm glad you were my friend, admirer confidante, padi and Senior.
I'm overjoyed I know you and this alone is the only feeling that help she assuage the depths at which I'll miss you, your face, your smile, your voice, your teases and all.
See, if there is anything you'd forget about me, don't forget to remember that someone out there called Oyinlola remembers you, misses you and love you.
Don't delete your pictures of me, don't you ever delete my number and to crown it, don't you ever fail to miss me and constantly check up on me as frequently as possible.

Take a very good care of yourself, don't loose touch on who you are, enjoy your graduate life, stay prayerful, God forever bless the day I met you, God bless your future!

EducationAs The Curtain Calls On My Undergraduate Odyssey By Completion. by donnn(op): 12:59pm On Apr 05, 2016
AS THE CURTAIN CALLS ON MY UNDERGRADUATE ODYSSEY BY COMPLETION.

It is the finale; the final curtain call. I've written my last examination.
Yo, Mama I made it... Your son is now a DOMITOR

It is with a happy heart that I engage my pen and look back at a little more than half a decade of my academic sojourn in OBAFEMI AWLOWO UNIVERSITY.

It being years that worth its existence; a period of time where my transition from boyhood to manhood took place, a period of time where I have learnt and developed most so far as an individual.
For the time well-spent, I want to start by appreciating the impact of Almighty God in my life;for good health, good environment and for the better change in me.

And to my beloved mother, I appreciate the teachings, the support-in-all-spheres and love you have shown to me.

Having survived exams, tests, series of assignment and borrowed courses from ECONOMICS, GEOGRAPHY, BUILDING, ACCOUNTING, AGRIC-ECONOMICS, DEMOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL STATISTICS and LAW, I think my colleagues and i should be proud to have made it here in one piece.

In all seriousness, today is a milestone for me, my colleagues, friends and relatives and it is to my loved ones that I owe my deepest gratitude.

To my course-colleagues, myself inclusive, I congratulate us all on the safe completion of our academic sojourn in Estate Management department, faculty of Environmental Design and Management, Obafemi Awolowo University and for granting me the opportunity to serve in different capacities at different levels through ballots, starting with;

The Sport director of the department during the 2011/2012 academic session.

The Vice President II of the department during the 2012/2013 academic session.

The President of the department during the 2014/2015 academic session.

I appreciate your love, supports and above all trusting me to serve you in the capacities that I had meritoriously served to the best of my ability and I still want to use this opportunity to specially appreciate all the Executive, Leglistive and Judicial members {REVAMP TEAM} of Estate Management Students’ Association {EMSA} 2014/2015 academic session for their supports and trusts in my person, thank you.

To the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, which I represented in the Students’ Union Transition Committee (SUTC) that led to the resuscitation of the Great IFE Students’ Union in the 2013/2014 academic session which I served in through the ballot as an Students’ Representative Council (SRC) member where I later became the Chairman, Select Committee of the Students’ Union, I really appreciate the entirety of Environmental Design and Management (EDM) students for their supports, trust and giving me the opportunity to served and learned at those levels , because it is a rare privilege doing so.

I also want to appreciate the great members of IFE VARSITY SAKI STUDENTS’ UNION (IVSSU) and NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF OKE-OGUN STUDENTS’ (NAOOS) for their supports, trust and giving me the opportunity to serve as the ELECTORAL CHAIRMAN of the associations .

To my roommates in ETF hall when I was in 100 level, Awolowo hall (The Castle of great Men) part two (2) to four (4) where I was privileged to meet interesting personalities, progressive comrades of Like-Mind, solution providers and critical thinkers, Fajuyi hall where I enjoyed my time with great guys, Nation builders, political strategists, great welfarists and awesome individuals, you guys were awesome, thanks so much for the honour, love and respects we shared.

To my friends, comrades, co-executives or member of committees, acquaintance and department’s colleagues; I say an unalloyed thank you for the part you played in the successful completion of my undergraduate programme.
An unadulterated thanks to my Mentors, Lecturers and Administrative staffs of the department of Estate Management, Obafemi Awolowo University, for their untiring quest to better the lives of students in the department.
I must at this point confess the facts that I will miss so many things about OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, CAMPUS.

I will miss the relatively stable power supply.

I will miss students’ constructive debates and arguments on State of the Nation (Political, Economy, and Technology etc.) and football.

I will miss the left-movements programmes, announcement, reading their releases on board stand at AWO and FAJ HALL, though most of them don’t practice the gospel they preach.
I will miss the Students’ Union that can never satisfy Great Ife students’ from A to Z.

I will miss the pizazzy New Buka.

I will miss the free and secured nocturnal lifestyle on OAU campus.

I will miss INTERCU internet network on campus.

I will miss having to queue to fetch water from the tap, at the bus stop, at Forks and Fingers and to access other services on campus.

I will miss students’ congress and entertainment shows at AMPHI THEATRE.

In a nutshell, I will miss the entire Obafemi Awolowo University community.

Thanks...

Judith Amaechi, the shrewish wife of Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past governor of Rivers State has been indicted in a multi-billion naira corruption scandal, Nigerian Times can reveal. As President Muhammadu Buhari heads to Washington to beg the Americans to help out with his much vaunted anti-corruption war, insiders are cringing at the composition of his delegation. Rotimi Amaechi was personally selected by the president. Nigerian Times’ checks at the villa showed that the president may not be aware of the existence of the dossier but the Americans know and may not take Buhari’s anti-corruption paean seriously.Amaechi - Buhari Nigerian Times learnt in the weekend that the dossier itself is less than sixty days old. As the story goes, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had received a petition sometime in February this year. The petition detailed the various financial dealings of Mrs Amaechi and how aided by her husband, she had looted the Rivers State treasury of billions of naira. EFCC’s Findings Her dealings are centered on three bank accounts with a Port Harcourt branch of First Bank. The accounts in the name of Rajol Jireh Nig. Ltd, El-Madon Fellowship, and Empowerment Support Initiative. The first is her company; she is the biggest shareholder and sole- signatory to its accounts with her photo id. El- Madon Fellowship, is a prayer group she started when her husband was on the run for his life as he lost the gubernatorial ticket in the run up to the 2007 general elections. As soon as the Supreme Court installed her husband in office, she moved the prayer group to the state house and got it registered and emerged its sole signatory with photograph submitted to the bank. The last is her pet project as first lady. The EFCC’s investigation found the transactions on the following accounts mind-boggling. Some of the accounts are denominated in Naira, while others are in Dollars. But one common factor of all the accounts is that they contain huge sums, which were only accessible to the former first lady of Rivers State. The Accounts Include: ESI – 4344020003193, a fixed deposit account El-Madon Fellowship -4344020002981, another fixed deposit account, Rajol Jireh Nig Ltd- 43440200031162, the main account Rajol Jireh NIG ltd 2010701975 Naira; 4344030000125, a dollar fixed deposit account, and 2024239051 Naira fixed deposit account Staffers of First Bank are not allowed to view these accounts, as they are passworded. The EFCC found that over eight billion naira passed through these accounts since they were opened in late 2008. Some of the looted funds are invested in properties in Nigeria. Nigerian Times learnt from a government house source familiar with the transactions that Mrs Amaechi’s method of transferring money abroad was akin to a bonanza. The bankers are encouraged to look for anyone with about a million dollars. He or she is then made a proposition: wire a million dollars to an account abroad and the naira equivalent plus an irresistible bonus is negotiated. So once the money hits the agreed account abroad, the naira equivalent and the agreed bonus leaves any of the First Bank accounts to another commercial bank in Port Harcourt, then it hits the accomplice’s account. A source told of an unforgettable week back in 2009 when five staff of the bank were pulled off their desks to sort cash for Mrs Amaechi. It wasn’t as thought they were counting but were just pilling the bundles and they never got to the bottom of the cash until Sunday afternoon. They started out on Thursday.

Probe Dasuki, CSOs, lawyers tell FG

Former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki
Prominent Nigerians and Civil Society Organisations on
Sunday urged the Federal Government to thoroughly
investigate the allegation of felony against a former
National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).
Those who spoke with The PUNCH included a prominent
lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN); a former Lagos State Police
Commissioner, Abubakar Tsav, and a Kano State delegate
to the 2014 National Conference, Dr. Junaid Mohammed.
Some of them faulted the former NSA for initially hindering
the Department of the State Services from searching his
premises despite the fact that the service had a search
warrant.
The DSS, had on Friday, surrounded the house of the former national security adviser in Abuja and left on Saturday. In a statement by one of its officials, Tony Opuiyo, on Saturday night, the DSS accused Dasuki of felony, misuse of power and possession of destructive weapons.
The DSS said it recovered seven high calibre rifles, (high
assault weapons), several magazines, military related gears
and 12 new vehicles which included five bulletproof cars
from Dasuki’s home.
Falana, in a statement sent to one of our correspondents on Sunday noted that the search of the former NSA’s house
was valid since it had the backing of the law.
He, however, said it was unfair to comment on the
“incriminating items” recovered from his (Dasuki’s) house
until the case is proved against him.
Falana said, “To prove that the search was not a witch-
hunt, the DSS listed the items recovered from the premises
as seven high calibre rifles, (high assault weapons), several
magazines and military related gears, 12 new vehicles, out
of which five were bulletproof. Since Col. Dasuki is
presumed innocent until the contrary is proved, it is not fair
to comment on the “incriminating items” found and
recovered from his house.”
On his part, the Chairman, Transition Monitoring Group,
Ibrahim Zikirullahi, said that Dasuki should be charged to
court if found culpable.
He stated, “I commend the DSS for a wonderful job done.
However, the security agency should go further in
investigating all those that work under Sambo Dasuki. The
government of President Buhari must not allow the
utterances of the Peoples Democratic Party’s noisemakers
to dissuade it from doing the needful of cleaning the
nation’s mess. The Nigerian people are behind him and God
is with him.”
The Executive Secretary, Network of Anti-Corruption,
Ebenezer Oyetakin, said Dasuki should be thoroughly
investigated and should be made to face the music if found
guilty should.
But a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr. Joseph Nwobike, said
the items recovered from Dansuki’s house could not be
said to be incriminating until a court pronounced them as
such, especially when the items were recovered from his
house only few days after he left office as the NSA.
Nwobike also advised the Muhammadu Buhari-led
administration to handle the issue carefully so as not to
erode the goodwill of the government.
He said, “It is not for them (DSS) to say that those items
are incriminating. This is because it puts them in the
position of prejudice – to say that the items are
incriminating. It can only be incriminating when they charge
the man to court and the court finds out that the items are
incriminating and that the man was not entitled to keep
them within that period.”
Tsav and Mohammed said Dasuki should be prepared to
answer questions on his actions while in office.
The two northern leaders said this in separate interviews
with our correspondent, in Abuja on Sunday.
Similarly, the ruling All Progressives Congress dismissed
claims that the President Buhari-led administration was
embarking on a witch-hunt in handling Dasuki’s case.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai
Mohammed, said this in response to inquiries from PUNCH
