he is a good defender , no doubt , but grading him as the best player is an insult to be honest.
He doesn’t even come close to defenders like Alessandro Nesta , Jaap Stam, Maldini, Sergio Ramos. Even past EPL best defenders like John Terry, Nemanja Vidic , or who remembers Ricardo Cavalho who throws his body at every shot aimed at his goal keeper, VVD doesn’t come close.
