This is an attempt to lauder buhari's image as a man in penury. If he takes Bank loan to obtain aspiration form, then Nigeria is in trouble. Who pays off the loan and interest? Whose money? It means he is a business man who just invested in politics and must short change the masses to settle his debt. It means buhari is desperate. It means he has no sincere agenda why he want to be president. It means he is a crook and very manipulative. He cannot fool us at all. |

Abuja - The National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, has donated N1 million to contain the Ebola virus. He handed the donation to the Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, in Abuja. Metuh called on well-meaning Nigerians and corporate organizations in the country to support the Federal Government's to curb the spread of the deadly virus. “There is no way the Federal Government can be left alone to bear the burden of this challenge. It is my well-considered opinion that citizens of this country and corporate organizations should support the overall effort to eradicate the Ebola virus in our dear country," said Metuh. "It is in this wise that I make my own little contribution and urge other well-meaning Nigerians to come out and join forces with the Federal Government and our health workers to end this scourge.” The PDP spokesman commended President Goodluck Jonathan and the Minister of Health for the unprecedented response given to “this national emergency” even as he saluted health workers in the country for their show of patriotism, professionalism and sacrifices in the effort to check the spread of the disease. He noted that the donations, which he said should be made directly to the Ministry of Health, would assist in research for cure, treatment and care for victims as well as support to families of health workers who paid the supreme price while working to save the nation from the disease. Metuh sent condolences to the bereaved families and expressed optimism that with the collaboration of all Nigerians, the nation would eliminate the virus. Chukwu commended Metuh for his gesture and urged other well-meaning Nigerians to join in the fight to rid the nation of the deadly disease. |
