Not trying to be judgemental, but where is your Dad today? What does he do?

Acmepreneur:

Lol, funny guy. Yes, my ambition is on him because I love him. In my family, wives are very important in making husband's grow, my dad won't be where he is today if not my mum, some people need the push.
I as well do not appreciate wives with husband that is not progressing, we tell our women to be a pusher

Family / Re: My Husband Has Become A Domestic Slave In Our House & I Do Not Know How To Stop by DonWorks(f): 10:02am On Apr 29, 2020
Please which school runs this covid 19 hols period? Bursta Rymes

Beautykate:
I am writing to ask if you can help me to persuade my husband to do less around the house. I am worried that he is going to make himself ill from exhaustion. Also, and it is hard for me to say this to him without being hurtful, I married him for his fun personality not his work ethic and I fear I am losing him to domestic drudgery. I want an equal partner, not a slave.

We have a toddler and a baby, born few months ago. During the pregnancy, I was quite tired and run down and my darling, supportive husband started to do more and more around the house and with our son (and despite a full-time, responsible job, he has always done more than his fair share of housework). I am now breastfeeding the baby, which is tough because he barely stops feeding and won't really nap anywhere except in my arms.

So this leaves my husband doing the shopping, tidying, washing and cooking. He gets up at 6am every morning to get our toddler ready for nursery, with a packed lunch, and he drops him off before he can get himself off to work. Meanwhile, I just sit around feeding the baby!

I feel permanently guilty and as if the only way I will get my husband to do less is if I do more. The thing is that I can walk away from mess and he can't.

I hugely appreciate him helping, but, beyond the basics, would rather see him sleeping or even cuddling me on the sofa rather than trying to be on top of everything. I love my husband – he is truly the sweetest, most loving, most wonderful lover and father, but I find myself resenting the fact that I barely see his fun side these days because he is so tired that he is essentially ill – and I can't help thinking it is at least partly self-inflicted
Crime / Re: Lady Disgraced And Filmed For Stealing Milk In Delta State by DonWorks(f): 12:28am On Apr 21, 2020
The truth of the matter is that it's a huge crime to steal and it should be punishable, but then again, nobody knows her story...she may have kids and no funds to sustain her household. I enjoin all who have and can help to always rise to the occasion when things like this happens. She doesn't deserve the disgrace.
Made4naijalove:
A lady was stipped naked and filmed after she allegedly stole in a pharmacy in Agbor, Delta state - which is on the 3rd week of its one month lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu who shared the story online, said the lady claimed to have stolen the milk so she could feed her hungry child.

Jobs/Vacancies / When Will Npower March Stipend Be Paid? by DonWorks(f): 8:38pm On Apr 13, 2020
It's quite funny how the Npower beneficiaries thought that after the change to the new ministry of humanitarian bla bla bla, stipends would start coming in as at when due.

As it is currently, it's a total nightmare as the N30k stipend doesn't come until the next month is far spent leaving beneficiaries in debt, hungry and diverstated.

The most outrageous part of it all is that even during this Covid 19 lockdown, the minister and the president are not even bothered as to how beneficiaries survive. Those nhealth beneficiaries who still risk their lives to work in health care facilities do not even get extra benefits, no special packages, no hazard allowance, no thank you from employers, no possibility of employment after all their commitment, infact, no nothing.

Are NPOWER Beneficiaries no longer classified as humans? Do they no longer need to fend for themselves and their families, can they not be employed in health and other facilities as staffs, especially those in Federal Institutions, are they unworthy of allowances and gratitude for a job well done? Do they not deserve their very lean stipends? You guess is as good as mine.

Npower beneficiaries and their relatives/friends, gather here let's call the government to order... remember, you talk, you die, you don't talk, you die...it's better to say your mind here and make this trend till the minister and president sees it.

Health / COVID-19: Asaba FMC Doctors Suspend Strike by DonWorks(f): 1:25am On Apr 11, 2020
Paul Osuyi, Asaba

The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba has suspended the indefinite strike which it declared on Thursday night.

The doctors decided to down tools over what they alleged to be constant harassment and threat to their lives by security operatives enforcing the lockdown directive by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to curtail the spread of COVID-19 in Delta State.

President of ARD at the hospital, Osifo Patrick Nwabunor told Saturday Sun on Friday that the strike was suspended following the intervention of relevant authorities, adding that their three-point demand has been met.

Declaring the strike on Thursday, Nwabunor had listed three conditions that must be met for the strike to be suspended.

The conditions include that no health worker should be harassed when he/she presents a valid means of identification; that items destroyed during the issue between a doctor and the police at Okpanam should replaced; and that adequate security should be provided within the confines of the hospital.

He had alleged that since the lockdown started on April 1, health workers have been witnessing constant harassment allegedly by the police even when they present valid means of identification as essential service providers.

Nwabunor alleged that the harassment came to a climax on Thursday morning when a doctor who was rushing Okpanam for an emergency, was stopped and harassed, adding that when other colleagues came to his rescue, they were allegedly sprayed with teargas.
