Talkisneeded:But 40k is too poor, I've been promised better job offers. However I love my man, it hurts that he's no been talking to me because I turned the job down. |
Feldie:I'm job hunting, I went home for a while then came back to look for jobs. |
hakeemhakeem:There are no jobs in my home state where my boyfriend and parents reside, I feel there are more opportunities in Abuja. |
I just rounded up my youth service last month and I'm actively job hunting in Abuja. The first interview I had in a hotel offered me a job as a waitress for 40k per month. My boyfriend advised me to take the job since they offer accommodation and feeding once a day. He felt I could start from there why I look out for better offers instead of staying at home but I have some issues. Towards the end of my service year I had some issues in the corpers lodge and I was evicted. I ended up staying with a guy who was an admirer because I didn't have elsewhere to go. My boyfriend has been uncomfortable but he couldn't do anything since he lives in another state and provide alternative accommodation. I've been rejecting the guys sexual advances for the few months I've been living with him, he's been professing love and introducing me as his girlfriend to his friends. He's extremely over protective and jealous even though we are not dating. I've caught him slipping Spanish gold fly into my drink on two occasions and then he would attempt to gave sex with me which I've resisted. My boyfriend sees this as an opportunity to get away from the house, buy the guy discouraged me from taking the job because he feels the salary is too poor for a graduate and market women make more. He even offered to give me 20k every month till he gets a better job for me. Now my guy is angry that I turned down the offer and has been reacting badly, he thinks his opinion doesn't matter to me. Even my mom told me to reject the job. What do you guys think? Did I make a mistake rejecting the job? |
whytevardy:I'm not done, just left camp recently |
My ex boyfriend broke up with me shortly before I went for service, citing irreconcilable differences. It coincided with a period that he had a setback in business that made him lose a huge amount of money and left him in debt, I tried my best to support him but he still accused me of lack of empathy towards his situation because of a comment that I made. It has not been easy for me since I left for camp, and I'm still suffering, most times I feed from the goodwill of toasters. I've been receiving a huge amount of attention from men in Abuja though I haven't given in to any because I think I'm still in love with my ex. I miss him a lot and I haven't found someone that I can share that kind of bond with. I've been communicating constantly with my ex since we broke up, in fact I still tell him everything that goes on in my life including about my numerous toasters. He's been supportive although not financially. He tells me that he misses me too but unfortunately he can't sustain a relationship now because he can barely feed at the moment. He once told me that we're just casual friends and it hurt me to the extent that I nearly had sex with one of my toasters just to forget him but couldn't stand any guy touching me. There's a man that has been on my neck for a while now, he's been helping me financially but I'm not attracted to him and I don't think I can date him. All my attempts to put him off has failed so far. He took me out for breakfast this morning when my ex called, he noticed I was with someone and insisted that I was in the guys place, I suggested a video call in order to convince him but the man wouldn't let me make the call. He got angry and almost caused a scene insisting I must tell him who he is to me, I was recording the conversation and forwarding to my ex who told me to stop playing games. He told me to either date the man if I want to or tell him plainly that I'm not interested. I couldn't give the man an answer because I still need his help for the main time. My ex got angry and called me a confused and self centered person, he said I should go on and date the man just because he's my meal ticket just because I told him that the man has been the one feeding me. The man on the other hand told me to tell my ex to stop disturbing me since we are no longer dating, he was visibly angry and wanted to call my ex to threaten him to hands off me. He still ended up giving me a modest amount of money after the whole fracas. Now I don't know how to handle my ex, he hasn't told me that he wants me back and even if he does it might not work because he's broke at the moment and I will have to keep talking to other men which he doesn't like. I don't get intimate with any of them, I just friend zone them till they eventually give up and leave. I need ideas on how to go about this issue please. |

2shure:The PC is not mine, so I don't the liberty to sell it. |
Jewessgratitud3:I was carrying it from my bed to the table before I slipped and fell. |
slimjohn2k5:I don’t have TV sir |
I started a remote job this month with a pay of 30k. It has not been easy but I’ve managed to survive largely due to the advance payment that I’ve been collecting from my understanding boss. Just few days to the end of the month, I’ve been dealt a devastating blow that has put my job in serious jeopardy. My work laptop which is even borrowed fell and the screen broke, going blank instantly. I don’t know where to start from as I don’t have a dime on me. A tech guy that I asked said the laptop screen would cost me $40 minus workmanship. I spoke to my boss but he said his hands are tied because laptop is a requirement for the job. Please I plead on the good people of nairaland to help me save my job. Everyone that I have asked have had one excuse or the other to give so this is my last resort. I am open to any sort of verification.

immortalcrown:He has posted our issues here a couple of times and everybody supported him, it just reinforced his beliefs that he is doing the right thing. |
Jeon:I wish I could, but he has a very strong hold over me, I always go back to him no matter what, I have guys rolling on the floor just to get my attention but I just crave his attention. |
