Thank you wildchild for being such a sincere and astute biz man. You really impressed me bro...keep it up! |
Even when this is not legally wrong, as the president has and can exercise such powers. The fragrant disregard to rules of service, procedure and precedent by this Administration is worrisome and calls for serious concern. As it has already been posited in several fora, this acts of procedural breach do not encourage career growth and brings morale of officers to its lowest ebb. This Comptroller will always bee seen as an outsider, and as such may be frustrated by conniving officers of the service who will definitely have an Axe to grind The intention behind this act of Mr president is a topic for another day. For now, I will say this was a wrong move by this administration....lets pray it does not boomerang in cataclysmic proportions. I rest my case...... |
I thought all Northerners are credible people with integrity? Or are those in charge of these IDP'S also from the South? LESSON; Corruption does not know Tribe, Religion, skin colour and Sex |
Nice one!

As Buhari, Obasanjo Relationship Fall Apart; Former President Reportedly Seeking Return To PDP There are indications that Ex President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who publicly ripped his party’s membership card, is scheming to return to the party through the back door as his relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari dwindles. The move, Pointblanknews.com learnt, was informed by the snub from President Muhammadu Buhari ?who, sources say have rebuffed every attempt by the multi billionaire farmer to be cozy with him. Shortly after Buhari took office, Obasanjo had made the first move with the establishment of a think tank to study critical areas of the economy and make recommendations to guide Buhari. The committee, which was established under the Centre for Human Security of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, studied five key areas – education, power, the economy, security and infrastructure. Not only did Obasanjo presented the report to Buhari, he also positioned and presented Stephen Orosanye to the President as a possible candidate for the post of the Secretary to the Federation, SGF. Spokesman Garba Shehu had, told reporters that the Vice Chairman of the committee and former Minister of Finance, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu, presented volumes of the report to Buhari in Abuja. He said former Nigerian High Commissioner to United Kingdom Dr. Christopher Kolade, who was head of the Power Committee, gave various stages of the proposed power sector development plan to include, short term, medium term and long term solutions. It was however not clear if Buhari solicited the gesture, there are no signs the current president is taking any of Obasanjo’s proposal seriously. Sources hinted Pointblanknews.com that Obasanjo’s ultimate goal is to be in the good books of Buhari and evade any form of scrutiny from his administration. Sensing the seeming over bearing posture of Obasanjo, President Buhari was said to have been warned by close associates to beware and cut down on his closeness to the former President According to a PDP source, Obasanjo has already commenced moves with meetings with PDP governors in the south south and south east. However, a handful of them are not buying the idea due to Obasanjo’s inglorious past and how he subjected Jonathan and the party to public ridicule. Unconfirmed reports had linked ex Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio with Obasanjo as they say he is being used to convince others and also groom him for a future Vice presidential spot in 2019 with a northerner, preferably, Sule Lamido. The genesis of Obasanjo’s grudge against Buhari is not unconnected with not only the snub of him and his proposals, but also the current move against some of his trusted allies like former Governor Sule Lamido? and Steve Oronsaye. While Obasanjo nurses the idea of making Lamido President in 2019, he personally recommended Oronsaye for the job of Secretary To the Government of the Federation, SGF, to President Buhari. The EFCC has already arraigned Oronsaye, and others for alleged fraud and money laundering offences involving N1.2bn. ?As for Lamido, the EFCC traced about N10bn to the accounts of companies of which the governor and his two sons were alleged to be directors and signatories to the account. The alleged transactions took place between 2007 and now. As Principal Private Secretary to Obasanjo, Oronsaye was believed to have been primarily used as a front to conduct his devious transactions and was the principal architect of Obasanjo’s looting of the Nigerian coffers. How time flies. Who would have ever imagined the turn of events in Nigeria today? Time indeed is an asset.....

What of arsenal away? Btw, why not put the prices up here? |
The simple truth is that this Government has no Iota of clue how to curb this insurgency. If they did, by now we would have seen a clear cut programme or agenda towards nipping this cascading evil from the bud. Nobody is saying that Boko Haram should have been totally eradicated by now. All what we are saying is that the Government should have improved on the gains of the last administration security wise By consolidating on security apparatus and network. With the almost total collapse of security we have witnessed in recent times, it becomes obvious that the govt of the day is definitely not doing something right. The most disgusting part is that the ruling party is busy in power tussle that they seem to have forgotten about all the lofty promises made to the Nigerian electorates. I pity the President, because the goodwill with which he rode to power is fast eroding. Nigeria is on a precipice, while the government is gaping in helplessness..... CHANGE INDEED

stepo707:NO He is not the first person to crash a car. But when the son of a public official in a third world country that is grappling with economic challenges and wanton poverty crashes a 2015 Porsche 911 Turbo which cost about N40m. Then trust me; It is big news! |
The way these kids flaunt their parents stolen wealth with impunity is very appalling. No week passes in Abj that an incidence such as this is not recorded. How much is the gross salary of an AGF that he can afford to dole out such an amount for a single car? And this is in addition to other cars and property hidden and scattered all over the globe. These Northern elites are the real Czars of corruption in Nigeria. They seem to cooperate amongst themselves and cover their tracks better. If you witness firsthand what their kids do in schools and clubs, you will shudder. This was how some people were defending a particular Northern Governor that he was rich before he got into politics. Please spare me the bull..shiit....there's no saint among our politicians. They are all THIEVES |
Cc: Lalasticlala let people know the true meaning of this TREND. |
LMAO.... Most words we use on a daily basis have different meanings elsewhere. Constant usage of such words gives them a sort of notoriety and they become generally acceptable. This is how most words are formed by the way. New words are coined everyday, and they become popular and form part of general vocabulary. So for all of you 'BAE' Mongers, don't feel too bad. You are part of those developing English Language. Did I just see you smile?....Lol ![]() |
You are just a self serving attention seeking dolt. Your antics here have still not gotten you a piece of the 'PIE' won't you just give up already? You do not blame PMB for any of the atrocities happening around us, yet you find it very convenient to lay the blame elsewhere right? Yes, GEJ is responsible for all of Nigeria's problems since I960, we know. But recent events unfolding in this country will determine how posterity will Judge all our Leaders. But you are just a mere washed out critic whose shenanigans are so so lopsided and warped that no sane person takes you seriously. Go get a life Sir/Madam, you are becoming nauseating.......enough said! |
Nellybii:In as much as I hate to join issues with 'POLITCAL NEOPHYTES' I will like to inform you for the avoidance of doubt that by 'WEas used in the post you quoted I mean 'NIGERIANS' so be informed that, irrespective of my personal preference of Candidates, elections are over and Nigerians by our votes have spoken. So assuming I did not vote for the government of the day, you mean I have no right to hold it accountable? Your logic at best is warped. What we are saying is simple. This government demonized the previous one, hence their ascension to power. For it to be found towing the same line as the former is what most rational Nigerians are kicking against. If you promised us CHANGE, then things ought to be done differently. What is so hard to understand? |
Coming from a man wanted for MURDER speaks volumes. That said, I think APC and it's leadership are the Architects of their own woes. The party failing to zone positions left a vacuum and a free for all struggle. That they didn't envisage this scenario playing out smacks of cluelessness. The president was very Apt when he stated that he was not going to intervene in who emerges as leader(s) of NASS, and promised to work with whoever emerges..This he exhibited by congratulating Saraki and Dogara. It is obvious that the party is mounting pressure on the president to rescind his earlier decision and intervene in the NASS imbroglio. Does this not amount to 'blowing hot and cold at the same time? Are these South west party leaders members of Nass? Why should they reject leaders legitimately elected by senators of the Federal Republic? It is obvious they are implementing a sectional and parochial agenda. Whatever happens in the days ahead, APC and its leadership should hold themselves responsible for their wanton greed, imposition and poor grasp of intricacies inherent in National Politics. APC is on a precipice |
Defending Buhari's actions based on what held sway in previous administrations is mere HYPOCRISY. This administration got power on the auspices of CHANGE. So for Nigerians to demand and expect that things should be done differently is not out of place. They say the "Journey of a thousand miles, begins with a step". From Buhari's early steps, we are able to envisage and decipher the direction his government is going. You promised us CHANGE and CHANGE we must get. We are tired of the old Order of things that is why we voted you. Say no to ETHNICTY, BIGOTRY and FAVOURITISM |
fx45:The waiting game begins. But in the interim, it does not take rocket science to observe the unfortunate trend in recent appointments. I do not just wish my fears to be confirmed. |
If anything, history is there to teach us very vital lessons. I hope Buhari has learnt his lessons having ruled Nigeria before. The lopsided nature of his appointments so far calls for serious concern. I hope he will not prove those that have kept insisting he is a tribal warlord right? This man shd tread carefully before his government spirals out of control. Nigerians do not joke with issues of ethnicity and religion. Those clamoring otherwise are either direct or indirect beneficiaries or are being plain hypocritical. Those saying we shd wait for ministerial appointments are expressing warped logic, as those appointments are statutorily bound to reflect federal character. It is in appointments such as these, that we can judge who this man really is. A word they say is enough for the wise.... SHALOM |
The ongoing CHANGE being experienced in Nigeria has been likened to the following scenario; Imagine you boarded a bus in Oshodi You have already paid your full bus fare to your destination, but they have not given you your change Subsequently, the driver announces loudly and truthfully that due to his old age he may not be able to drive you very well to your destination, As he is about to start his car, a fight breaks out between the conductor, the driver and the bus owner, And three hours later, the bus is yet to take off, The Bus' steering goes missing as a result of the fracas, Will you in all sincerity still sit in such a bus requesting for your CHANGE? Your answer depicts our present political realities.......Good morning to you all! |
lalasticlala:Calling on Abuja members of this forum who tuned in to HEBELEMBE this morning to confirm this so the mods can do the needful. Thanks!!! |
INTERMAN:EXACTLY! LET NIGERIANS KNOW THE QUALITY/CALIBRE OF LEADERS WE ELECTED Cc: LALASTICLALA |
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District in Abia State, was called from Crowther Fm 104.5 in Abuja in a popular Radio Programme called 'HEBELEMBE'. To the utmost shock of Nigerians, this sitting Senator shouted at the presenter Dr. Ahmed Issa popularly known as the 'Ordinary President' to 'SHUT UP' and stop disturbing his number that he was busy. Unknowing to him, he was on LIVE Radio. This was in respect of about 400 SEA WHARF Workers whose Rig was closed and sold by the Federal Government about two years ago without adequate compensation. On realizing his gaffe, he called back trying to do damage control. Now my point is: Is this kind of behavior and language expected from a distinguished senator of the Federal Republic? His defense was that he did not know he was on LIVE Radio and that he should have been informed before hand. This programme is still ongoing as I type. What's your view on this? IbnSultaan:so what will be the parameters for determining the essential and non essential check points? Won't the insurgents shift attention to places where security is relaxed? To me this measure is premature |
I'm against total and immediate withdrawal. It should be done in phases to avoid total collapse of security |

Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufai, has on Friday cancelled the annual Ramadan “welfare” package distributed to Muslims in the state as against the tradition in the state. Past administrations distributed rice, millet, vegetable oil, milk, sugar and other commodities to Muslims; and also hosted religious groups to Ramadan breakfast. Speaking when he received the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Jama’atul Nasril Islam Friday at the Government House, Kaduna, Mr. El-Rufai said if his government continues to fund the welfare package, it will barely be able to deliver on key mandates of his government, considering the state’s finances. “This beautiful office complex we are in cost the government about N10billion. Me and my partner, the Deputy Governor would not have built this when there are many masses oriented projects yet to be executed, but it has been built, we have to use. “I have also been made to understand that, this Ramadan period, we are supposed to have started sharing rice, milk and sugar, but we will not do that. One, the government is not supposed to be involved in religious activities. Two, the government is broke. “So, we solicit for your prayers to be able to stabilize the situation and we hope that things will improve,” he said.
