There's no difference between most of you condemning those youths/supporters and them Well, maybe the slight difference is that they chose to carry cutlasses on the street, while you chose to bare your fangs online... In all, you are all brainless and sheepish supporters of our thieving politicians who according to you, are not capable of any wrong doing... You all know yourselves. HYPOCRITES |

TonyeBarcanista:That reporter should consider the following quote before returning to work in the villa ........ " let me say this. I am a superstitious man, a ridiculous failing but I must confess it here. And so if some unlucky accident should befall my youngest son, if some police officer should accidentally shoot him, if he should hang himself while in his jail cell, if new witnesses appear to testify to his guilt, my superstition will make me feel that it was the result of the ill will still borne me by some people here. Let me go further. If my son is struck by a bolt of lightning I will blame some of the people here. If his plane show fall into the sea or his ship sink beneath the waves of the ocean, if he should catch a mortal fever, if his automobile should be struck by a train, such is my superstition that I would blame the ill will felt by people here. Gentlemen, that ill will, that bad luck, I could never forgive. But aside from that let me swear by the souls of my grandchildren that I will never break the peace we have made. After all, are we or are we not better men than those pezzonovanti who have killed countless millions of men in our lifetimes?........" Mario Puzzo's 'The Godfather' |

I just hope the Police is not trying to frame these lecturers by coming up with these bogus and spurious claims in a bid to justify their brutality and inhumane treatment against that Law Professor I do not put it beyond our police men to use such underhand tactics to get back at its critics After all those are dane guns I'm seeing there, and that pump action can be gotten with the proper licence(I stand corrected) Any one who stays in EDO and Delta or South South part of this Country can attest that these places harbour the worst set of police men PS: I am not in any way condoning Cultism. It must be condemned in all its ramifications. But I do not trust the Nigerian police either .......#Peace |

An Islamic television channel shocked viewers with half an hour of hardcore pornography in the middle of the day after falling for A Senegalese Islamic channel shocked viewers with half an hour of hardcore pornography in the middle of the day, in what the TV station on Wednesday attributed to a 'criminal act' and a 'satanic trick designed to undermine a channel'. Privately run Touba TV generally broadcasts religious programs, including prayer sessions, sermons from prominent imams and in-depth theological discussions. Privately run Touba TV shocked viewers with 20 minutes of hardcore pornography in the middle of the day, in what the Senegalese Islamic TV station on Wednesday attributed to a 'criminal act' But viewers were horrified on Monday afternoon when its regular transmissions of the program Taxiru Juma were interrupted with a hardcore porn movie from 1.10pm to 1.30pm. THe program Taxiru Juma were interrupted with a hardcore porn movie from 1.10pm to 1.30pm (file photo) The West African country's media watchdog, CNRA, has demanded an explanation. 'We have asked Touba TV how this unacceptable mistake could happen for almost 30 minutes,' an official told Reuters. In a statement, Touba TV denounced what it called 'a criminal act by people with a hidden agenda' and said the formal complaint will make it possible to identify the 'authors who have an unknown agenda'. The statement said: 'As a religious channel, the management of Touba TV and all our audience members are outraged and unreservedly condemn this criminal act which seems to be sabotage and a satanic trick designed to undermine a channel which is known to stand for Islamic values and teachings.' It gave no further details on the criminals or how they got access to its broadcasting unit. Djibril Nado, the director of the channel, told RFI that the network was 'disturbed' by the images. 'It's a sabotage because these are images that come from outside,' Nado said. 'We talk about a satanic approach because there are always hands behind it.' Touba TV has since filed a legal complaint in hopes of finding the people behind the broadcast. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4341650/Islamic-TV-channel-airs-hardcore-PORN-half-hour.html |
https:///gYWPVyg7Rk By Azeez Adeniyi Human Rights lawyer, Femi Falana has said the Senate can order the arrest of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal if he fails to appear before it. In a statement, Falana said the Senate’s investigation into the North East humanitarian contract was legally backed. He added that it was different from that of the Comptroller-General of Customs. He said, “The investigation being conducted by the Shehu Sani committee into the grass-cutting contract is backed by Section 88(2) of the constitution. So the SGF is constitutionally required to appear and cooperate fully with the committee. “If he fails to appear, the committee is competent to order his arrest pursuant to Section 89 of the constitution. This case is materially distinguishable from that of the CGC of Customs, who was invited to justify a policy on import duty.” In a related development, The Senate on Thursday said it has been unable to locate the addresses of about 20 companies awarded the execution of various projects in the rehabilitation of the North-East. The upper chamber is probing the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal who is in charge of the Presidential Initiative on the North-East. Chairman, Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Mounting Humanitarian Crisis in the North-East, Senator Shehu Sani said some of the companies could not be traced. Sani said, “Now, we are set to invite all those persons. It was supposed to be today but, unfortunately, it could not happen. “Meanwhile, you should understand that we are not investigating the SGF alone; we are investigating contracts that were awarded under the PINE. And over 20 companies were involved, but something very strange is the fact that some of these companies involved in these contracts, we cannot actually trace their addresses. “We went there but they were not there. The option before us is to either report that they are ghost companies or we keep on searching until we find them. But it is most likely that it will be easier for the camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for us to find some of these names here.” Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang denied that there was any rift between the Senate and legislature. He stated, “Let me also state that the executive has great respect for the institution of the Senate and the distinguished senators themselves. “That is why the secretary to the government personally wrote and signed, and he is requesting rescheduling of the meeting and not saying he will not come. He is requesting rescheduling and the letter has been delivered to the committee.” Lawal had sent a letter to the Senate on Thursday, stating that he could not appear before it due to an official assignment. https:///xJH4YvHjdC |

Oga I assume you are just doing your Job as a paid employee of the Govt. Let's agree PDP looted the treasury dry. What proactive policies have the Govt of the day put in place as an intervention measure to lift us out of this conundrum? It has been one policy somersault and clueless action after another until you plunged us into recession The truth no matter how bitter is that, Buhari and Apc have not been able to manage the economy at this critical period very well as they are bereft of ideas on how to rejuvenate our collapsed economy and bring us out of recession You people should keep deceiving the gullible. Posterity will never be kind to you all... |
sarrki:irrespective of party lines, we are all Nigerians. Does the current level of hardship in Nigeria not bother you at all? Must it always be about 'wailers' or 'zombies' as you guys have made it seem? We are all collectively responsible for the rot in this country. And until we join forces to demand for what is right, the political class will keep using party, ethnicity and religion to divide and conquer us... Peace... |
It is the greed of Nigerian Politicians that has stagnated this Country for so long. A potentially great Nation like ours has been reduced to a crawling giant that has become an object of ridicule in the comity of Nations......quite tragic! For how long will these people keep testing our collective resolve? I cringe in disgust... |
I can only imagine the uproar this would have caused if it were to be PDP/GEJ that has been incommunicado for this long.... The likes of Lai Muhammed would have released several tirades berating the Govt, and calling it 'clueless' incompetent and so on..... The hypocrisy of these people is quite nauseating and stinks to the high heavens! We shall one day reclaim this mandate! |
Who cares? .........We are fed up already!

"......Indeed, since 1999, there have been appointed Chief Justices of Nigeria, at least six of them, in seamless succession. Hon. Justices Belgore, Kutigi, Katsina-Alu, Musdapher, Aloma Muktar and Mahmoud Muhammed......" From the highlighted names, one can see that all the Chief Justices of Nigeria from from 1999 were all from a particular region. Is it then a coincidence that the President is dragging his feet to confirm the first CJN to be nominated from a different region of the country? Is it not even more ridiculous that Magu's name has been sent twice to the Senate within the same period for confirmation even when his nomination was mired by controversy? These are salient points every discerning mind should ponder on.... #Peace! |
