PoliticsRe: Tax: Nigeria Partners With Over 100 Countries To Track Remote Workers' Income by dosage150(m): 4:26pm On Nov 14, 2025
Why do the govt prioritise tax over governance ?
That's the angle I am coming from
They can take all the money in our account in the name of charges and tax
Yet nothing to show for it

Insecurity ,book Haram and co
Let me tell you
Had it been these guys are directly affected and the world is designed in a way that they can't travel to any other country

Insurgency Will be a thing of past
You will see them in action, involving mercenaries
Planning and executing it ASAP to end it

But because they only hear it in news ,which I don't even know they do

They are playing politics with it

Generally, I am not happy how stagnant the country is yet the only priority driving means to keep taxing citizens the more without showing for it

I mean
Nothing !
JASONjnr:
As a remote worker paying tax to other countries, tell me any of these things you mentioned above that you've benefited from those countries while living in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Tax: Nigeria Partners With Over 100 Countries To Track Remote Workers' Income by dosage150(m): 10:25am On Nov 14, 2025
The tax I pay here in Nigeria run in millions

Just tell me one single thing we earn from the government
Is it quality and Subsidized education?
Good road?
Water ?
Subsidized electricity and electricity availability?
Subsidized or free internet?
Empowerment?
Kids and veterans monthly upkeep?

Just tell me one thing

There's no single excuse in whatever that will fetch money to the government
Is it loan? Very swift and seamless process for them to get it
Is it increment of their salary?
Is it buying cars?
Is it renovating offices?
Is it their pension?( Tell me any past govt or president that is on the street protesting for their pension like our dads and mums)
Is it travel expenses?
Is it increasing the cost of goods? (But can never reduce)

Just tell me
JASONjnr:
But those Nigerians working for companies outside Nigeria pay tax to those countries.... Contributing to the development of other countries while badmouthing your own country

To implement taxation it's not difficult for the government

Only if they channel the same energy and fast implementation to governance and security, Nigeria would have been better

SportsRe: Lady Hails Vini Jnr For Dating Single Mother Of 3, Mocks Other Men by dosage150(m): 5:53pm On Oct 30, 2025
If a lady is a divorcee , that's understandable

But I see it as being irresponsible when you take in the first one , which maybe a mistake (I still understand)
You ahead to take in for the second time
Then make it three

To crown it all, the kids maybe from different men

One question comes to my mind "Why does these men end up not marrying such a lady?"
Something must be wrong somewhere

NB : This maybe not applicable to Vini's girlfriend, just my thought when I come across single mothers with Kids from different men

I have mixed feelings about this. It is hilarious, informative and at the same time degrading.

This is a red flag to me and I have met them on a steady , I wouldn't even bother asking after you and the phone or any need that they come up with, 300k after 1 week as what ?
These are types of ladies left for us in this generation. I wonder if this is how this one would keep living all her life

Just saw this. Same here. Multiple missed calls from my parents always makes me jittery
Good to know I’m not the only one , I’ve always wanted to stop feeling that way.

I’ve learned to just take a deep breath before returning such calls.

Most times, I’ll even call my other siblings to know if she reached them and to be sure everyone’s fine.

She usually calls twice, but once it gets to the third call, I know my attention is needed. I’ll drop whatever I’m doing and pick up if my phone is close by.

Phone app ooo

What could make me have this many calls?
Me that hardly even gets regular phone calls since I uses WhatsApp calls mostly

My heart always fly
If I then see “Mum” on the screen, my hand starts vibrating already

Then I’ll rush to check my email to see if maybe a job came calling 😔

My conclusion so far from this match is that, Man U attackers are not clinical and wasteful.
Amorimhas given them a good tactics but the attackers are not serious.
Man Utd should have been leading by 4-0 by now.
No wonder they are 16 on the table.
Very unserious set of people

Yea ,
But it's surprising as he left the house that day
No communication again

FamilyHe Came Into Our Lives, Became Family, Then Disappeared Forever… by dosage150(op):
Good morning, N'Landers. I’m not sure this is the right section to post this — but after reading a post about someone who paid for a car and vanished for years, it pulled a memory from deep within me. A story that still leaves all of us asking: “What really happened?”

A true life story and not a fiction

Let me take you back to late 2005. My family had just relocated to my mother’s hometown and moved in with my grandparents. There’s a polytechnic nearby, so our quiet little town always had students renting spaces and walking around.

In 2006, a young man — early-to-mid 20s, slim, sweating from the long distance walk — showed up at our gate. He asked my grandma if she knew of any room for rent. He had come from school and hadn’t had any luck.

Now, my grandma was the type of woman who treated every stranger like her own child. She offered him water, asked him to sit and rest. She even walked him to a nearby compound owned by a man with some rental units. Unfortunately, there were no vacancies.

Still, he was grateful. He rested, thanked Mama, and left that evening. A few weeks later, he passed by again — this time just to greet Mama. She was so happy to see him that she offered him food and water. That evening it rained heavily, and she asked him to stay the night.

That night was fun — for kids like us, just having access to his phone to play music and games felt like magic. He left early the next morning to prepare for school.

But after that… nothing. Days turned to months, and we never saw him again.

We eventually completed and moved into our own house, and that was the end of it — or so we thought.

One sunny morning in 2007, Mama was sweeping outside when someone shouted, “Mama!!”

It was him. The young man. They hugged tightly. We were shocked and overjoyed.

He told us he had been coming to the old house, finding it empty every time. But he remembered we had a church near our new home, so he started asking around — street to street — until fate brought him back to us.

That day, he sat with us, laughed with us, and ate with us. He was still struggling to find affordable accommodation which he told mama. So my mum, overhearing it all, offered him one of our rooms to stay. “It’ll help you focus on your studies,” she said.

He moved in, and became part of the family. Not just by name — by actions.

He woke up early to sweep, even if he didn’t know how to use our long broom properly (which always made us laugh). He fetched water. He accompanied us to grind beans for my mum’s moi moi business at 3 or 4am. He followed us to the farm. He was eager, helpful, humble — like someone who wanted to earn his place.

Strangely, in all the time he stayed with us, no one ever came to visit him. He never talked about family. Just school — quizzes, assignments, group work which he does with his friends over the phone or go to school on weekends for them to meet.

Naturally, my mum got a bit suspicious. So one day while he was at school, we looked at his documents. His name, department, registration number — even his hometown and father’s name — were all there. When she asked him later, his answers matched perfectly.

A year later, during the holiday, he travelled home and came back after school resumed.

Then in 2010, my grandfather passed away. During the burial, the young man said his father would attend — and he did. One look at the man, and the resemblance was clear. This gave everyone peace of mind. My mum collected his Father's phone number, but we lost it when my mum had a ghastly accident in late 2014(he phone was crashed and SIM card damaged).

After his final exams, he left, saying he’d return to collect his things. He did — in late 2013 or early 2014. He stayed for a week, then packed everything and left.

Since then… nothing.

No call. No visit. His number still rings, but no one picks at a point it doesn't go through anymore, my mum tried it early this year, another person picks the call, speaks another language (maybe the service provider sold the number due to inactivity). We have no contact for anyone around him. No friend. No relative. Nothing.

Mama — the one who gave him a place in her heart — died in 2021 without ever seeing or hearing from him again.

All we have now is a street name in Abia State, where he once told us they were known by family name. I recently met someone who lives there. Maybe one day, I’ll ask him to search.

But even now, we all still ask:

Was he real? Is he alive? Or was he… something else?

Any toy to play with that is not related to screen is cool

Went to eye clinic recently to change my glasses, I saw a lot of kids there, I believe it's because of too much exposure to screen

Except if you will use Google or Microsoft parental control to set screen time

That's if you can handle the headache of asking you to turn on the tab when it's off automatically 😂😂

Happy birthday to your girl
God bless all responsible fathers out there
