Please house I invested in treasury bill secondary market at Union Bank last week, 980,000 for 176days at the rate of 14% but now I am in dire need of a lot of funds right now that's really urgent. On the terms and condition for the proof of investment I got it says( Termination of investment before maturity attracts 25% flat penalty on interest earned ) I only got like 68,000 as my interest. Please what do I stand to loose, how much will they deduct and how soon will I get my money credited back so that I can make use part of the funds and reinvest. Please help all

In that case if that is what the bank told you, then 25% of N68,000 is N17,000. Which means if you terminate your investment before maturity date you will only earn N17,000 as profit excluding your capital. I stand to be corrected by other TB gurus! All the best!

I am sure you can read very well. How is my response commensurate with discourage? Read this thread properly, is that simple to do? American College Dublin is ranked 37 in Ireland, which i think is not bad. According to international student Francesco994: ''Their Business degree is very good actually, i graduated from ACD in International Business (3 years). The staff is great and lecturers as well. I just graduated in International Business. (satisfied student). Copied on boardsdotie.

So what were you expecting?. Don't you know that TB is from the FG. It is like asking if you can give the FG money whenever you like for them to pay you interest when they do not need it. Na by force to collect money that is not needed from you?.

My post is a counter to a claim that TB investor can top up TB at any time! Thank you!

After asking FBN if I can top up existing Treasury Bills, below is their reply.

Good Day Sir,

Apologies for missing out your mail.

Kindly note the options available on your request:

Once existing investment matures, additional funds can be applied

Liquidate investment (penal charges apply) for additional funds to be included at the next available bidding

We require a signed written instruction (letter format) for any of the options.

So, apparently before i can top up Treasury Bills, it is either I wait till my existing Treasury Bills mature or I liquidate and pay penalty charges. Nawa O! shocked

Im one of the gretest fan of GTBank.
Now, i owe them no apology, they are saddist infact they are progress stopper , see they are in no way ready to contribute to someones growth.

They dont have products asides FD and TBills
There FD rates is worse
They will ever give you a better rate compared to other banks on TBills.

There mumu officers alwaysbact as if they are doing you a favor.

One thing i now noticed about them now is that if you want to buy TBills in primary market, they wont bid for you, they will bid on secondary market for you so that they can route the money through the securities they are using and they will finish you by giving you ridiculous rates.

Other banks like FCMB, FBN, stanbic, zenith and even skye of all banks do better than that mumu gtbad that calls themselves gtbank.

There service is now generally bad.
Im afraid they might have problem in a very short time.

I hate them with pasion now, they stink.

Are you sure with your claim because I am just considering trying GTBank Treasury Bills! shocked

Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont has fled the country amid rebellion charges.

Ousted Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont has left Spain and travelled to Brussels, Spanish government officials have said.

Mr Puigdemont is facing sedition charges from the Spanish government after Catalonia declared independence under his leadership.

The move comes after Belgium's asylum and migration affairs minister Theo Francken said the former president could seek asylum in the country.

The Spanish media reports that the former leader is accompanied by an unspecified number of other members of the Catalan government.

The group are expected to make a joint statement later today.

Spain's prosecutor José Manuel Maza said on Monday morning that rebellion, sedition, and provocation charges would be levelled at the former leaders of the Catalan government, which has been suspended by the Spanish central government in Madrid.

In accordance with Spanish law a judge will not assess the charges.

Spain has refused to recognise the result of an independence referendum held by Catalonia's regional government at the start of the month on the basis that it is illegal under Spanish law.

After the Catalan regional parliament voted to declare independence on Friday, the Spanish government said it would revoke the region's autonomy and rule it directly from Madrid.

Belgian asylum minister Mr Francken hails from the Flemish nationalist party New Flemish Alliance, which has close ties to the Catalan separatist movement.

His party advocates an independent Flanders and wants it to secede from Belgium.

“Catalan people who feel politically threatened can ask for asylum in Belgium. That includes President Puigdemont. This is 100 percent legal,” Mr Francken told Belgian public broadcaster VRT at the weekend.
