A Farewell Message to Batch B Corp members: Like a lion in the jungle, he stands over the hill in pride and views his territory. His chest puffed out and his nose in the air with authority and arrogance to all the lesser animals that are yet to gain the experience he has in the past year. His elders let him enjoy his moment for the time being because he deserves it. This is how every Corper feels on the day of their passing out parade. You have every right to feel the intense happiness and relief you feel now and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Your mind goes into a time warp from the tedious registration process to your nerves when you see where you have been posted to. You begin to prepare for life in a completely unknown and different setting than the one you know; hoping and praying to God you make it through alive and also wondering why service to your country is relevant. The first day you stepped into camp, you remember the crowd of unfamiliar people coupled with people in military uniforms barking out orders to you on how to behave and what to do in camp. You whisper in complaint and someone close by picks it up, smiles and whisper a supporting complaint. That is the beginning of a beautiful friendship established in camp that could go on for life. The friends you meet in this process make the journey worthwhile because you learn how to hustle together and overcome your obstacles; lest we forget all the ‘gbeses ’ you fall into. Do not forget any of them. After the camp period, you moved onto serious work where you got a taste of the professional lives of Nigerians and their various sectors in the society. You learn how to perform various tasks in preparation for your work in that sector. Your PPA’s teach you how the Nigerian economy runs around your professional life and how to go about various tasks. At this point, the journey that seemed to be an inconvenience to you at the start begins to make sense and you begin to see the relevance of the compulsory program instilled by the government. Let’s also admit it; the allowance money also compensates the stress you endure a bit. At the end of everything, lifting that piece of paper at the end of your ‘otondo ’ session makes everything worth it. My wonderful service mates, you can finally say, you came, you saw, and you have conquered everything NYSC has thrown at you to make you a better Nigerian and overall a better person. I wish all of us a brighter tommorrow....and please lets keep in touch with one another, a phone call is all it takes.....wishing us all safe journey back to our varoius destinations. A warm Congratulations to all Batch B corp members and good luck in our life endeavours. Am gonna miss u all!!!! |

themonk: I know people will come here and start shouting "scrap nysc", "Nysc caused it and brings no good" but you have to remember that life is random. People could die just about any place, probably there are people who would have died in their home state but because of nysc taking them to another state they didn't. People only say nysc should be scrapped when bad things happen but forget that bad things can happen just about anywhere. If nysc wasn't taking her to Abuja maybe masters education would put her on a plane going to Ghana, I forbid it but what if that plane to Ghana was bound to crash will anybody praise nysc for making her not to be on that plane? Life is actually complex and people should learn to only speak about the few parts of it they understand. The date has been released for 17 A stream2 orientation course, Tuesday 26,July to Wednesday 15 of August
By the way I'm not a complete fan of nysc ooo. They have disrupted my plans by delaying stream 2 but I have to say the truth. NYSC please oo release the date for stream 2 |

obailala: Na wa oo... so much bitterness! Yes you have the right to criticise people especially when you don't like them or don't approve of their ways, but at least we can play the opposition with a bit of decency. A man quietly celebrating his birthday with his family in his house (on the other thread), and then cutting a cake in the office with his staff, is this what you term 'noisy celebration' or PARTYING? Or should he order everyone around to quit taking pictures in order to please you? Bros abeg leave this guy the forces against him are not of this World...bitterness kills |

owobokiri: Sorry, i have to do it again:
If the vice president was/is anything different from the pack, i expected him to calmly observe his so called birthday and move on.. This country is in a dire state now; violent uprising here and there, hunger, recession, accidents, roaring suicides and all that.... In the midst of all that, folks willl turn the TV at nine for evening news and what will they see? Not a presidential move or policy statement to alleviate their sufferings., No! What they will see is a vice president , deputizing for a thoroughly rudderless and incapacitated president busy cutting fat cakes, dancing skelewu ontop of their pains! Reminds you of one tacky Gowon celebrating his marriage while the country lost millions in a war! Priorities.., priorities ma people... Osibande can do better. I heard he is a pastor, so what with all that presidential noise? People are dying and their president is Awol while the vice is busy partying like P-Diddy? What comes over them in that Abuja sef? Just get out of this place with your hate infested brain...to do birthday na crume again or is it not obvious the acting president has been up and doing trying to alleviate the suffering of the masses, ordinary cutting of cake |

blaise26abj: You did wrong. Because if u return to the hospital the doctor will still use the opportunity to talk to you. You should have cut it off right there and then because u know why he asked for your number. You really insulted your husband. And stop giving men wrong numbers just tell them no . it shows you don't know how to say no to advances despite being married. He will come around sha
I know some people will come here and say, " why did you tell him? , what he doesn't know won't kill him" , well if u don't get to know what he doesn't like now, you will end up continuing this behavior until he finds out himself and his reaction might be worse than this. You have said it all ..she is a married woman for crying out loud |

SweetBoyFriend:
What would those Danfo drivers do when you take those buses away from them ??
Do you want them to go back to their Omo Nile job ??
Lagos would become a no-go area if those men are stripped off of their danfo business
You will turn those men into Arm robbers, kidnappers, money rituals, 419, drug dealers
This is why we will never ever ban Okada or motorcycle business in Anambra state, millions of families depend on the business
You see your life you refuse to read the post and you think that trash u put up there make any sense....LASG said they are not banning danfo buses they only wants to upgrade transportation in the state to international standard |

I heard they have changed the state coordinator, she is now in Ekiti state... maybe it was the fault of this current coordinator, our then coordinator was lively and she really show motherly care... Ask from Ekiti Corpers... That should be Barrister Ukagha the state coordinator here in Ekiti state#Ekitikopa#stream1 |
