The pressure on Naira to be devalued came from the drastic drop in the price of crude oil. if the crude oil price dropped like that during obj's tenure, the same would have happened. And unfortunately Nigeria has been looted blind in the last five years like tomorrow will never come. Had been our foreign reserves had been built, it would still have been possible to defend the naira.
