First, he has been working there for a while now and the school has been paying as at when. Then there have been promises that things will get back to normal very soon but unfortunately it's taking this long. He's also in the look out for another job but none yet.

Some money may have just entered his hand. Topping priority is rent, thus he does not want to waste time before that money be diverted to something else.

Buhari is setting the pace as against his campaign promise in 2015 to end or reduce or discourage medical tourism in foreign countries.
