Can you use an externel mouse? if you can you can check you device manager to see if the touch pad has been disables in there or at least enable it from there.

I read some where that maybe pressing the Fn key and the F9 key might be able to help
If you dont know how to get to your device manager, do strat--- run------- devmgmt.msc

Done all that even tried the Fn F7 i saw on the internet but it refuses to move.The mouse is still in the middle of the screen.

Please guys i need some urgent help. I have this Compaq netbook 110c-11010EE . I pressed a couple keys and now it seems the mousepad is locked and i can't get the mouse to move again.The problem is that there is no switch/button to activate it. Thanks.

Not Possible bro,Dial-up has a possible maximum speed of 56KBPS while broadband offers greater speed depending on your connection.
ADSL+ maximum download speed of 7.2MBPS
ADSL2+ maximum download speed of 22MBPS
Oprical Cable maximum speed of 20MBPS-50MBPS(Only offered by virgin media)

With Starcomms, their broadband speed is dependent on their modem which already has a pre-configured throughput of 3.1MPS i think.

15k is for the broadband option which is supposed to be faster and 10k is for the dial-up.

I want to upgrade simply because I get to keep my files. I have about 230 gigbyte of info that I don't want to lose.

If you don't to loose your files,you can simply create a backup by transferring you files to an external HDD or using a couple of DVD's.Though i did an upgrade at first,i am still planning on doing a custom installation.
