people has seriously losing interest in the Nigerian leagues. I remember then we had Enyimba, Kano pillars. these teams were badass teams and most players representing the national teams were mostly selected from them. now everything is now foreign players, so how will the local league survive?

Good food for thought.

Local league and players, are the bedrock of most successful national teams, globally.

Foreign players should be carefully selected and must be currently top notch.

E.g .We all know that Osihmen, Awoniyi, etc, must be invited, by virtue of their current status.

But sadly, especially with foreign coaches, every dick and harry ,foreign players, occupies every position.

Hehehe.

Good one.

Watch as AU and ECOWAS rush to condemn the action. They sit down and watch corruption, nepotism and election rigging take over Africa and they do nothing, but once the people react they start to talk .

The west also watch as Africa leaders plunder the resources of Africa and they do nothing, but will be quick to react once the people want to take their destiny in their hands.

Mr Biden, the gay right activist is only concern about Africa only when is has to do with deviant's,I mean the LGBTQ people.
He comes up with his usual,I will stop aid's and bla bla bla once his project LGBTQ is threaten in Africa. But you will never see him talk about election rigging and corruption in Africa.

Africa will continue to experience such actions until they start doing the right thing.

Rubbish talk!

Are the military less corrupt than the civilians?

I totally support Niger for their fights for freedom.

I pray they stand their ground against the African Union or ECOWAS in their fight against colonial operation.

The current leader in Niger is a man!

A man like the Russian president Putin.

Putin has stood his ground, even with all the media propagandas and NATO threats, he remained unshaken.

This is the same for Elon Musk, he bought Twitter and even in the midst of all the reggae dancing of unveiling Meta's Threads, he stood his ground, When it was so much noise about The negative implications of changing the name "Twitter to X", Musk stood his ground And remain undistracted of his vision.

This is how to be a man!

The current system dislikes you being a man, When you are a man, you cannot be toasted around and the government cannot afford to lose their hold on men.

That's why the system is trying so hard to feminize men.

We have a lot of effeminate men in this country And the government are doing all they can to keep it so. When men are being feminized, the society remains gullible to the benefits of the corning politicians.

Misguided assertions.

Firstly, Twitter only changed its logo to X and not the name.Twitter remains the legal name.

Secondly , only very gullible people like you , believe that the coup plotters are freedom fighters.

Tchiani was about to be sacked as the head of presidential guards, by the president, before he carried out the coup, just a day to his sack.

And just like terrorists and similar coup plotters, they would always play on the emotional and sentimental intelligence of gullible people like you, to justify their nefarious actions.

GEJ had served 2 terms as VP/President, in a joint ticket with Yardua, even before the amendment.

Politics / 2023: AAC Female Presidential Aspirant Vows To Tackle Unemployment, Hunger by Doyin2(m): 10:00am On Apr 29, 2022
A presidential aspirant, Dr. Caro Nwosu, of the African Action Congress, has vowed to tackle hunger head-on if elected at the 2023 general election.

She told newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday that, as president, she would ensure that no Nigerian went to bed on empty stomach.

She said her “Hunger-Free’’ national programme would be sustained by a robust and youth-friendly agricultural scheme throughout the 774 local government areas of the country.

She said that robust participation in the programme by Nigerians would make food abundant, reduce current food prices and make them affordable for the poorest of the poor.

Nwosu, who, for now, is the only female presidential aspirant from the South-East geopolitical zone, noted that she would make agriculture so attractive to youths that it would become the most sought-after job.

“I will encourage youths with soft loans and ensure that all genuine farmers get quality inputs such as fertilisers, improved seedlings, herbicides, and agriculture extension services for free.

“My government will also assist farmers to get extensive virgin land from communities.

“We will have partnerships with major tractor manufacturing companies to establish their plants in Nigeria and provide relatively cheap tractor hiring services for those that want to be big-time farmers,’’ she said.

Nwosu noted that the active engagement of youths in agriculture would lead to crime reduction.

“One of the effective ways of solving crime is to keep the active population, particularly the youths, highly engaged in what they believe will work for them.

“I sincerely believe that with effective youths engagement, the few remaining dissidents can be easily and effectively managed by security agencies.

“Cattle rustling, kidnapping, banditry, insurgency, internet scams, and youths restiveness will be a thing of the past in the country,’’ she said.

Nwosu said her administration would also encourage science and innovation as well as people with special talents or the ability to invent and fabricate machines and software programmes that would aid societal growth.

“I will also encourage micro and small businesses to enable them to grow and become medium and big companies,’’ she said. NAN

Oga, Sowore can not claim not to know GMB as a Students Union activist and an investigative journalist.

Yes, GEJ wasn't doing well but no right thinking person would choose Buhari over GEJ as solution if not to send power back to the North.
How on earth would you expect Buhari to bring the change we desired. We shouted then, many felt we were PDP members or that GEJ must be our distant relative. Now all of you are acting surprised.
It's no pessimism, give Buhari another 50years he'd not do anything different.

As for Sowore representing the youths, what happened when they had a pact to front for the youth in 2019?
I like him as an activist but I'll tell him the Truth if I see him

How much was the dollar to the naira during Buhari's military era? Was the country not better?

Who brought the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) to Nigeria? So The northerners voted for Buhari because of Sowore?

And the southerners that voted for Buhari was because of sowore?

How many votes did Sowore cast to ''bring'' in Buhari.

467 responses is too small a sample to draw valid conclusions or generalizations.

Besides, we would like to see the demographics of the participants in terms of age, sex, region or participants' geopolitical region, tribe, education, state, religion, income level, geographic location, party affiliation etc.

Basic statistics teaches that to avoid sample bias you need not only have a reasonable sample, but you also need to sample across demographics as highlighted above so the sample represents the population, in this case, Nigeria. Then, you can draw valid conclusions.

While I'm not ruling out the conclusions of the survey, the pollster could have done a better job using standard rules of polling.

The constitution clearly defines what is public service:

"public service of a State’ means the service of the State in any capacity in respect of the Government of the State and includes service as:

(a) Clerk or other staff of the House of Assembly;

(b) member of staff of the High Court, the Sharia court of Appeal, the Customary Court of Appeal; or other courts established for a State by this Constitution or by a Law of a House of Assembly;

(c) member or staff of any commission or authority established for the State by this Constitution or by a Law of a House of Assembly;
