Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has accused the Department of State Services (DSS) of aiding “government-sponsored thugs” to attack him and his team in Ado-Ekiti.
In a post on X on Friday, the activist said the incident occurred shortly after he completed an interview on Midas FM 90.5 in the Ekiti state capital.

“We have been brutally attacked and injured by well armed government-sponsored thugs in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State,” he wrote.

“The @OfficialDSSNG provided these attackers with our exact location, enabling them to carry out this vicious assault. We won’t back down! We have a country to liberate!”

In a separate post, Sowore shared photos of himself and one of his aides on hospital beds, alleging that the attackers came from the Ekiti Government House and were backed by the DSS.
“This is the level of infamy to which Nigeria has been subjected! Those who brutally attacked us in Ado-Ekiti today came from the Government House,” he posted.

“They are well known, and they were provided with tracking and operational support by the DSS.”

He alleged that the DSS operatives had been trailing and harassing his team since their arrival in the state a day earlier.

“They even threatened the manager of the first place where we ate, warning him never to allow us to use his premises again,” he said.

He dismissed claims by Falade Michael, commissioner of police in Ekiti, that the incident was “mere altercations”.

Sowore said the commissioner personally visited the scene of the brutal attack and saw firsthand the “extensive injuries” him and his team sustained.

“The Commissioner saw the injuries, witnessed the aftermath of the violence, and was fully aware of the seriousness of what happened,” he wrote.

“Yet his Command has chosen to trivialize the attack, even describing the injuries as “minor.

“No wonder allegations have emerged that the Commissioner of Police himself was involved. This is despicable!”

As of the time of filing this report, the DSS is yet to issue an official reaction to the allegations.

I know it is hard to believe but you must understand that after the second world War and the formation of OPEC, The global CRUDE OIL supply became an international product i.e the price of a barrel of crude oil in Saudi or Iran or Venezuela will be the same with the Price of a Barrel of CRUDE OIL in Nigeria. Sometimes there are slight differentials in price but the difference is never more or less above or below $20. So with the war raging in the middle east and has driven the price of CRUDE OIL to over $120/barrel, Fuel at the pump has become more expensive and the war will not stop anytime soon and there is a possibility that we will experience an energy crisis due to fuel being very expensive and unaffordable. There is a possibility that a barrel of CRUDE OIL will hit $500/barrel in 3-4yrs. This is part of the process of phrasing out fossil fuel i.e petrol from being used globally like was done in China and being implemented in the UK. So DANGOTE has read the handwriting on the wall and decided to sell the Petrol refinery to the Nigeria people who ignorantly and blindly rushed it without thinking. Olodo uprising indeed.

2. Will you make profit from the buying into the DANGOTE IPO?
Yes, of course you will. But this is how it will happen; Due to exchange rate differentials, since the war in the middle east and Ukraine_Russia isn't ending anytime soon, it is projected that oil price will continue to go up hence, as oil prices skyrocket and the price of refined oil i.e Fuel at the pumps also continues to rise, you can expect you shares in DANGOTE REFINERY to continue to go up. Basically, as DANGOTE REFINERY SHARES PRICE goes up, cost of living for NIGERIANS WILL GO UP.

3. I see all these content creators and even other Nigerians talking about how they are monitoring DANGOTE trucks and calling DANGOTE, etc
All I have to say is that 99% of Nigerians are olodos. Go and read the agreement, find out what kind of share holder you are and stop disgracing yourselves. When you buy shares in the Dangote Refinery IPO, you become a part-owner of the company, but your role is strictly hands-off. You have no say in the day to day running of the company. #olodouprising.

To start with, there is nothing new in the report. If there is a crime, FBI would have charged Tinubu to court for a criminal offense. If they couldn’t charge him for a criminal offense in 1993, it simply means there was no crime committed.

FBI has already released most of the records to David Hundeyin in 2023. They redacted it heavily to protect their investigative procedures and protect their witnesses. Nothing has changed from then. This is not about Tinubu but protecting FBI’s system.

I was laughing and eating my shawarma when I first saw the picture. I told a friend of mine the same thing: this is content, but a symbiotic one.

The hype surrounding Peller allegedly owning a ₦400 million property in the estate would automatically create a perception that similar properties in the area are also worth around that price. In reality, however, I don't believe the property shown in the picture could be worth more than about ₦150 million to ₦200 million based on its actual market value.

On Peller's part, he gains access to the property after construction is completed, while the developer gains something equally valuable—visibility and publicity.

Mr. Chocho is a real estate developer, and developers need visibility to sell their properties. By associating a prominent personality like Peller with a ₦400 million property, the publicity can create a stronger market perception and make it easier to sell similar properties in the estate at a much higher price.

So, in my view, both parties benefit: Peller gets the property and the publicity, while the developer gets massive visibility and potentially a much higher selling price for his properties.

That's what I call a symbiotic content strategy—everybody wins.



On the issue of giving Peller a Power of Attorney instead of executing a Deed of Gift, I believe there may be more to the arrangement than what is being portrayed publicly.

My understanding is that the property was gifted to Peller during his lifetime, but the gift may have been subject to certain terms or conditions. If that is the case, then provided Peller complies with those conditions and does not breach any of them, there may be no reason for the gift to be revoked or for him to lose the benefit attached to it.

It is also important to note that Peller did not appear to sign the document without professional assistance. He came with a lawyer, and I would reasonably expect that his lawyer examined the document, explained its legal implications to him, and advised him before he signed it.

Therefore, before concluding that Peller was given something less than what he was promised simply because the document was described as a Power of Attorney rather than a Deed of Gift, we should first know exactly what the document contains, the conditions attached to the arrangement, and the legal effect intended by the parties.

The real question is not merely what the document is called, but what rights and obligations it actually creates for Peller.
