As a medic, the fact is , we doctors don't get paid well (One of my brothers who lives abroad when he heard my salary, his first question was...are they ripping you off?. He was shocked to hear that I was even one of the better paid doctors at my level)

But here is why Saudi can afford to pay such high salareis

1.Saudis produce oil...10 million barrels of crude compared to our 1.4 million barrels of crude.daily

2.Saudis have 35 million people, compared to our 200million people.

3. Saudis have a higher income compared to us as a result...

4.Saudi's foreign reserve in 2014 was at 750 billion dollars. Nigeria at that time was managing 39 billion dollars in our reserve.

Wow !

You are such a realist, not even adding sentiments as a medical doctor.
I am so impressed.

The truth might be bitter for others.Senseless ridiculing their country,I pray for them and you, to get better offers somewhere else,if so desired.

If your father is poor and you are being called by your very rich uncle or father's friend,to come stay with him, what do you do?

Whatever your choice, would you because of that ridicule your poor father, even if he is the architect of his own misfortune.?

The reality you need to face is we have bad leaders.

Compare the salary of politicians like reps, senators, governors etc with other workers not to talk of kick backs.

Besides loans they drown themselves and building rail roads that are vandalized at night.

Better choose your chinese name and start learning Chinese because China will soon come for claims and your house may be taken.

You really do not understand the enormity of our present predicament.

Even if all politicians start earning zero salary, we still do not have the revenue !!!!!

Simple mathematics:

If 75,000 doctors in Nigeria should start earning average salary of say N1million per month, that's total of N75billion per month and N900b per year!! Just for Doctors salary alone!!!!

What is the budget for health, private, federal and all states combined??

What if other professionals now demand equal treatment, what will happen to NIGERIA

Stupidity is when you compare a country(Nigeria) with a GDP per capita of $2,000 with that of anther country with GDP per capita over $22,000

Saudi with population of just about 20 million, still earns more than 40 times in oil revenue, than Nigeria with over 200 million!

Comparing the GDP per capita,we can see that Nigeria is not doing badly in terms of salary.

The earliest we face the reality ,the better for all of us!

Nigeria does not have the required revenue yet !!!!

May GOD prosper Nigeria.

And those who are lucky to get better life elsewhere should stop the stupidity of comparison and ridiculing of their fatherland,I beg.

One day Nigeria will get there.

Those blaming ONLY Buhari government should please visit the psychiatric hospital, fast fast!

This is from their fellow Christian, Prof. Michael Ogueke, exposing the lies about #Islamisation agenda. Truth is bitter, so they say. Read with an open mind and thank this page later....God bless Nigeria
________

They go to work, live, holiday and shop in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait & Qatar. While there, they subject themselves completely to #Sharia laws and Islamic injunctions that govern these countries. They even learn Arabic to be able to communicate effectively.

But here in Nigeria that is governed by laws and a constitution that is based on the Christian CANONICAL laws...; here in Nigeria that uses for all its official documents, schedules & civil observances the GREGORIAN calendar named after Pope Gregory XIII, who issued the papal bull Inter gravissimas in 1582, announcing calendar reforms for all of Catholic Christiandom which gave birth to the Gregorian calendar in use today also called the Western or Christian calendar...; they want to die whenever they see Arabic inscription on anything.

They are so afraid of Islamization and are all running away to the Middle East to escape been Islamized by Buhari.

Odiegwu Really!

Self-deceit & idiotic hypocrisy should indeed have a limit!!
#MO

I think the issue is just religious fanaticism and intolerance, which they throw away when they are in Sharia countries,as a result of the more important struggle for survival.

I took the time to read through the article, I am wondering what the government need to do. But as if I don't know, you see so long as political office holders continue their medical jamboree outside the country things will never change.

But on the other hand, there is the issue of the subsidy on the cost of going through the medical school in Nigeria. That on one side, the Doctors should also consider the health of Nigerians.

Like one chap suggested above, Nigeria can utilize the opportunity to produce more doctors and export them but they should also be willing to give back to the nation the money they've been given in Nigeria during their medical school years when the cost of their schooling was subsidized

Well said.

Even if all medical jamboree ,stealing, corruption stop,Nigeria still does not have the revenue per capita(population) to compare with Most countries.

It's interesting how pmb's minions are trying so hard to twist a narrative.

PMB went against Twitter because he felt hurt that they rightly took off his tweet. His action was based on his ego which he couched as national interest.

By the way, the US got a court order to seize those sites, which one did PMB obtain?

Colonial idiot.

How is a warrant from a government agency, the same as court order.

A Nigerian government agency issued a warrant (order)for Twitter to be banned in Nigeria pursuant to relevant sections of the antiterrorism and other applicable laws in Nigeria.

A USA agency issues another warrant (order)blocking Iranian news websites. But idiots like you will go any length to justify the latter and condemn the former.

Every country has a right to defend its territorial integrity by whatever means ,but many imbeciles like you, would do anything to ridicule their own country.

"Court order"against freedom of speech is okay by idiots like you, provided it's coming from USA,abi?

Whereas they only quoted their law to justify their action, the same thing Nigeria did.

Nothing like court order.
Court order by which judge?
What's the name of the court?

Now Iranians and others living in America that wish to visit the news websites, have been deprived of their rights,in a country that hypocritically preaches human rights and freedom of speech.

All this miscarriage of justice under the lifeless. Buhari has destroyed Nigeria and every fabric of our national existence. He has succeeded in turning our constitution upside down just to have his way. People who comes distant fourth in elections just like Hope Uzodimma can now be declared winners once they are on the side of this brutal regime. We never had it this bad

Idiot.

Very soon you will blame Buhari for your failures.

You know the constitution more than the court.

Any thing not in your favour is miscarriage of justice.

Common sense demands that the president that has power to appointment can also extend tenure if he had not found a suitable person.

The same supreme court that gave Imo to APC,gave Zamfara and Bayelsa to PDP.

Any person that desecrate our supreme court must be a real idiot.

What's is the exchange rate as at now?
Economic illiterate.
CBN can only manage the exchange rate.

Exchange rate of any currency ,Naira inclusive,is determined by the balance of payment, among other factors.

The more we export over import, the higher value of the Naira.

Therefore you cannot be an importer and still be complaining about the value of the naira, whereas you are part of the problem, not government.

I rarely hear people talk of mini exportation, only mini importation

Neither is it the fault of CBN that Nigeria had been a major importer of fuel for over 20years!
