Hi friends and Admins, I want to express my unreserved gratitude to you guys for helping douse the tension I experienced sometime last week. Thankfully to God, I got my approval update today. Although my MSc/PhD research program started since 8th of September, I'm glad the wait has ended. Date of submitted application: 5th August Upfront medicals: 6th August Medical update: 21st October Request for passport: 21st October(same day) Approval update: 27th October. Support document: My scholarship letter which is fully funded, well articulated SOP, appointment letter, pay slips, letter stating I'm on study leave and my account statement(which I think wasn't so necessary though). While I continued to wait with time elapsing, my supervisor had to write to them confirming my position was still available so as to avoid refusal due to late resumption. So I advise you explore every means in prayers and action to make this work. I suggested this to my supervisor. Also, I realized that although I did upfront medicals, I was requested to send by mail to the Accra immigration office a copy of the upfront medicals I claimed I did. This happened cos I didn't attach it before submitting. So avoid stuffs as such to obviate delays. Thanks everyone and I hope God answers our heartfelt prayers. More testimonies in Jesus name. **packing my load to University of Toronto** |
It's online route. Applied 5th of August. From recent updates, I guess paper is faster fatanu: |
Hi friends, I got an update on my medicals today stating that I passed it. Still today, I was sent a msg on my CIC account that a decision has been made on my application and they requested for my original passport to be submitted to the visa office coupled with the passport request letter sent to me. I ran to Lekki sharply. The guy that collected it said it should be due for collection within five working days. Hopeful and prayerful. |
Good day Travel Canada. Pls, I really need your candid commentary on my issue. I was offered funding from my department in Uni of Toronto Canada for my gradute program and I made my application on the 5th of August 2015. I did upfront medicals the next day. Afterwards I got confirmatory messages from CIC that my application had been received on the 6th of August. However since then, I only had my CIC account updated once by the Canadian embassy. I wrote to them telling them my school had resumed since sept 8th and also referred them to the letter my supervisor had written to them on my behalf (I've been writing to the accra office). The response I got last week was that my application was on the queue for processing. I am surprised cos its past processing time and some of my friends who made paper applications have their visa already. I was also told to send a scanned copy of my upfront medicals to them. That was earlier today. Pls n pls what could be the problem cos I am so worried?? |
I understand this is a very hard time for most of us scholars. Irrespective, I enjoin you all to hold cos PRESSID is guaranteed. Guys, stop the lamentation on nairaland and facebook but rather BELIEVE. Nawao, when our names had not been made public we had fears and now many still have fears. The things you fear mostly do not come to pass and this isn't left out. Fellas, hold up. Your scholarship is guaranteed! |
It is very unfortunate to identify with the fact that things have turned this way but like similar minds advised, let us keep hopes alive. As for that nigga who obviously performed woefully tagging prospective scholars as cheats, I can only be sorry for you. Did you hear cinfores gathered some people to sell questions to them? Why then do you appear on a thread like this to confirm our fears about your folly. Brainfriend contains 55,000 questions and you're here announcing your failure to your mates who care less but would rather study better to beat the likes of you in aptitudes such as PRESSID test. 'In the field of observation, chance favors only the prepared minds'. So what on earth were you reading. I so laugh at you. You're really not smart. Infact I am very certain you will perform as bad in your so-called 'cheat-proof and fresh tests' except you change though. So let me advise, your reservations do not matter, so keep it. Prospective scholars, keep the hope alive. Also, look out for other scholarships. You all should know it's unwise to cast all your eggs in one basket. Best wishes, Dozlion. |
