 Phones › Inability To Make And Receive Calls 2 Days After Porting by Dozzyalive(op): 10:15pm On Nov 29, 2024 |
Good evening Buddies. I need your suggestion towards resolving the issue concerning my 9mobile number which was successfully ported to Airtel network on14th of this month. After porting, I recharged airtime and made several calls on the 14th and 15th of this month. On 16th I was not able to make calls, receive calls, send sms nor receive sms. Whenever I tried making calls, I got the message: "Your line has been disconnected." When calling the ported number, you will get the message: "the called number does not have the facility to receive calls, please call the customer service for more information." I called the customer care and I was advised to visit Airtel office at Evo Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State for KYC which I did. I did biometrics, captured my NIN and uploaded which went successfully. Sadly the issue persist. Today made it the 7th time I am visiting Airtel office. They told me that they have escalated to higher quarters to check out what could be the issue. If anyone in this forum have a suggestion on what I should do so as to resolve this issue, kindly help me out as I need the number to be up and running before 7th of December, 2024. This is the same story I get every time I want to make a call. The NIMC shows that my number is linked. Anyway, I just called their bluff. I ain't going nowhere for any linkage, let them do their worst. |

My candid advice, avoid anything called xiaomi and Redmi. The hype is not worth it. My Redmi 8 suddenly shut down for almost 2 months, I went to Raya care here in Port Harcourt and was told that the panel needs to be changed at the cost of 45k..imagine. I jejely dumped it and moved on. The younger sibling, Redmi 8A is flickering. Atimes, it will freeze and starts responding when you press the power key. I repeat, avoid xiaomi and Redmi phones like plague. I am not hating, I speak out of experience. All my friends that I introduced the Redmi phones in 2019 and 2020 had a sour taste of one issue or the other. 3 Likes |
