Hello everyone. I’d appreciate your honest opinions on my application. I’m about to submit.

I’m applying to Conestoga College for the Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness programme for January 2027 intake (one year program). I have had two previous study permit refusals and one visitor visa refusal (2025), mainly due to concerns about finances, source of funds and ties to Nigeria. (My uncle sponsored me for a 4 year degree program in 2021 and 2022)

For this application, I have paid CAD $13,000 towards tuition out of 20,800, purchased an $11,000 GIC and have additional 24m in my account. The source of funds is from hostel lease, my phones and computer business and cocoa farmland lease, the farmland was gifted to me by my dad (deeds of gift and land documents will be provided)

The issue is I have 2 major lump sum, 10m deposited in September and another one in late October, which are tied to a cocoa farmland lease (I have the necessary documents).

Considering my past refusals, how convincing do you think my financial situation and overall application are? What potential weaknesses should I address, especially given my previous refusals?

Thanks so much. Also my passport will expire July this year and I’m planning to put in the application today. Do I need to renew my passport or wait till when I get a decision or something

Hi guys, I put in my application and was rejected late last year, I applied for a gcms note, please I need a review on my GCMS note which says

“No proof of employment or income provided for applicant or sponsor. As such, I have concerns
regarding source and availability of funds demonstrated. Taking the applicant's plan of studies into
account, the documentation provided in support of the applicant's financial situation does not
demonstrate that funds would be sufficient or available. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies
would be a reasonable expense.
Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms
and conditions imposed as a temporary resident.
For the reasons above, I have refused this application."


A third party sponsor with over 20M proof of funds balance.

Now I’m ready to resubmit, adding more documents demonstrating the sponsor’s proof of income, my personal landed property, half school payment receipt, my personal bank statement also (which indicate that my sponsor deposited half of school payment into my account and paid directly to the school).


Do you think that’s enough to address the issue? What do you think guys?
