A 34-year-old man was sentenced to prison on Thursday for kidnapping a 10-year-old girl from her bed in Northridge and sexually assaulting her.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Tobias Summers was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus an additional 230 years.
The victim chose to speak out against Summers after he entered the courtroom in shackles.

“It was not right,” she said. “No one should ever have to go through that.”

Jurors found Summers guilty of 32 felony counts including r*pe of a child, aggravated s*xual assault, possession of child p****graphy, kidnapping and first-degree burglary.

On March 27, 2013, he allegedly chose the victim’s house at random, threatened the young girl with a knife and then repeatedly sexually assaulted her in his car, a drainage tunnel, a storage yard and a vacant house, according to Deputy District Attorney Laura Knight.

Authorities located the victim nearly 12 hours later, at the corner of Canoga Avenue and Oxnard Street in Woodland Hills.
According to prosecutors, she was barefoot and had visible injuries when she was found.
A defense attorney for Summers said he will appeal the court’s decision.

A 40 year old Melbourne, Australia, woman who had a sexual relationship with her child's 12-year-old friend, spanning a period of five months, will spend at least six years in prison after she gave birth to the boy's child.

The woman who has been jailed on charges of child abuse, was said to be having unprotected sex with the boy at least once a week over the period. The woman who cannot be named, was sentenced at the Victorian County Court after she had pleaded guilty to the persistent sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16 over her relationship with the boy, who was her daughter's friend.

She however admitted she started developing feelings for the boy and began a sexual relationship with him. In May of 2014, the woman gave birth to a girl after telling the boy she thought the baby was his. The boy's mother visited the woman in hospital to support her but was unaware her son was the father and she was the grandmother. Shortly afterwards the boys' parents found out about the relationship and confronted the woman and reported her to police and a DNA test confirmed the boy is the baby's father.
In sentencing her, the angry judge lashed out at her:
"You failed to recognize that your feelings for the boy were completely inappropriate. You commenced and continued an abusive sexual relationship. You have allowed your physical and emotional urges overcome what should have been the proper adult response."

Cecil the lion, a famous black-maned resident of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park, died at the hands of an American dentist, conservationists report.
They say Walter Palmer paid $55,000 to hunt and kill Cecil with a bow and arrow. The incident occurred around July 6, with a professional hunting outfit reportedly luring Cecil outside the boundaries of the protected reserve using a dead animal as bait.

“Mr. Palmer shot Cecil with a bow and arrow but this shot didn't kill him,” Johnny Rodrigues, chairman of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force, said in a statement. “They tracked him down and found him 40 hours later when they shot him with a gun. Cecil, who was known all over the world would have earned millions of dollars just from sightseeing. Walter Palmer apparently paid $55,000 for the kill."
It wasn’t the first kill for Palmer, who has multiple photos posted on the website Trophy Hunt America showing the Minnesota resident posing with dead lions, rhinos, water buffalo, warthogs, and other animals.
“As far as I understand, Walter believes that he might have shot that lion that has been referred to as Cecil,” the spokesperson said. “What he’ll tell you is that he had the proper legal permits and he had hired several professional guides, so he’s not denying that he may be the person who shot this lion. He is a big-game hunter; he hunts the world over.”

Man stabbed to death during robbery

A security man, identified as Wasiu Okanlawon, has been stabbed to death by armed robbers in the Ile Zik, Ikeja area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Wasiu, who was attacked last Friday at about 9pm, was killed while he and a female colleague were returning home from work. It was gathered that Okanlawon and the colleague, whose name had yet to be ascertained, were going in a commercial bus, when the bus had a flat tyre. The bus passengers were said to have alighted, while the driver tried to change the tyre. The robbers, whose number had yet to be identified, reportedly came out of hiding and attacked the stranded passengers. A colleague of the deceased, said Okanlawon was stabbed to death when he intervened when the robbers tried to sexually harass his female colleague.

“He and the lady from our office were in the commercial bus going home. When they got to the Ile Zik Junction in Ikeja, the commercial bus had a flat tyre, and all the passengers alighted. They stood by the roadside, while the driver changed the tyre. Suddenly, the robbers came out and began to rob the passengers of their possession. “They came with weapons and attacked them. Wasiu, who was with his laptop, tried to escape from the area, but he noticed that they had descended on the lady, so he went back. It was then that the robbers collected his phones and the laptop, before stabbing him in the neck.”

It was gathered that Okanlawon was rushed to a nearby hospital after the robbers left, but he died on the way. Okanlawon was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, but their efforts did not yield any result,”. It was also gathered that the matter was reported at the Ikeja Police Division, while Okanlawon’s corpse was deposited at the LASUTH’s morgue. Although the deceased was a muslim, his burial was delayed so that an autopsy could be carried out. It was added that the female colleague had been invited by the police for questioning. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident. He added that investigation was ongoing.

A 20-year-old Kenyan woman, has confessed to killing three children, one of them her one-week old son, removed his intestines and ate them raw, reports Nairobi News.

The woman who lives in Korogocho, a slum in Nairobi, is said to have have slit open her week-old son’s stomach, removed his intestines and ate them before going to her friend’s house and killing two other children. The friend, Nelius Muthoni, told the police that the vampire woman came to her house in the morning and attacked her by trying to strangle her.

“She kept asking me why I named my son Peter Kimani and asked if I knew that my mother-in-law had been eating me. She said a lot of things and even said that there were demons inside me. I ran out of the house to seek help from neighbours and when they arrived, they found her holding my 10-days-old son by the neck and under her feet was my 4-year-old daughter. She was stepping on her neck. The neighbours pushed her out of the house and tried to help the children but they were announced dead at a nearby clinic."

When she was pushed out of the house, the woman is said to have run to the Korogocho Administration Police post where she reported that she had killed her child. A police officer said:

“As we were interrogating her, neighbours who learnt that Muthoni’s children had died, also came here. They wanted to beat her but we shielded her."

A neighbour who was at the police post said the woman did not seem shaken and even asked for a soda at some point. The police have also concluded plans to take her for a medical examination to ascertain her state of mental health.

We're told Campus Police took the music mogul into custody early Monday afternoon. Diddy's son, Justin Combs, is a defensive back on the team. We're told the fight went down at the UCLA athletic facility.

A man who was officially named 'Uganda's Ugliest Man' Godfrey Baguma, 47, has welcomed his 8th child with his second wife, Kate Namanda,, who he married in 2013. This will be Godfrey and Kate's 6th child together, he has two children with his ex-wife who he divorced after he caught her cheating.

Kate,30, gave birth to a baby girl earlier this week for Godfrey, who has a rare, unknown medical condition. Her first child for him was in 2008. Speaking on how they met, began dating and had children, Godfrey told Uganda's KFM:

‘I stayed with her four years before her people knew where she was. I didn’t want them to see me until we had a child because they'd definitely advise her to leave me. She left me when she was six months pregnant but I think she later accepted her fate because she came back two months later. The APC says President Buhari has done in three weeks what the PDP government under Jonathan administration could not do in the 6 years they were in power. The party stated this in a statement signed and released by its National publicity secretary Lai Mohammed. Read below...
