Nairalanders I want to set up a standard automobile workshop that will take care of mechanics, auto electrician, panel beating, car interior, painting with baking facilities.

Can someone please advice me on the money requirement (from equipments needed) and space requirement. I will appreciate practical hands-on experience.

Better you do your architectural and structural design elsewhere and building contractor apart, because a contractor will not design anything that may give him problem in building or procuring. Hence seperate you design and building to get the best.

In fact I just discovered I have been away for two very important and explosive days on Niraland. I am a Civil engineer and a car frik that want some practical advice. I am very happy that I got more than the advise I wanted.

Happy to say that I got the 'end of discussion' v6 at 69k miles and it runs like mad and consumes fuel like mad. I understand the fuel consumpsion will reduse if the removed catalyst is replaced but I must tell you it is too sensitive compared to my ford contour I placed on Nairaland for sale www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-105186.o.html   .

1. Diesel engine cars get to the top speed faster than petrol engine.

2. Diesel has more energy than petrol, hence the use in lorries and petrol in cars. Though some cars use diesel.

3. Diesel engines do not use spark plug while petrol engine use.

4. Diesel engine is safer in cases of fire than petrol.

@ Sultan I appreciate the way you feel about the car, but their is an adage that says 'you don't prevent a small boy from having pointed teeth in as much as he has enough lips to cover it'. Viperman has made a choice and you have adviced. Who knows he may even be lucky even with the model that gives problem. But I am sure he has prepared his mind to troubleshoot if the need arises.

One other thing we should realise in cars is that we have different maintenance cultures. Some cars do not like faults not being fixed on time. Viperman. Go ahead and give us a feedback on this forum.

Someone gave me a V6 cheaper than a similar 4 cylinder end of discussion <<Accord?>> and I became skeptical about the performance of the V6.

Please does anyone knows if the V6 is less superior than the I4 engine?

This is Nigerian Used. I bought it at a mileage of 99k and it is about 125k. I do a 2 weeks on/off rotation and do not use it much. Their are mechanics for it. You will be supprised that the engine is same as a the most common ford (ford focus). If people are using Ford Focus in Minna, then you can use it in Minna.
