thanks bro for all your advice
to me ,it's not only about learning like I said, learning any foreign language wouldn't be s problem to me coz I've done something like that in two different cases and I know the tricks of doing that.
my problem is how I can be certified.
once I'm sure of being certified,i won't hesitate .I'll just start learning asap

It took me 6 months of nonstop daily study to reach level 3. Im still learning and trying to get a higher level. the goal Is to be fluent within 2years.

I bought books which came with cds, 세종한국어1,2&3(sejong institute). They have a website filled with learning resources in pdf. I also used a couple of youtube channels like ttmik(talktomeinkorean). they also have a website with learning resources. id advise you to use their youtube courses. and there's a sejong institute in abuja which i attended and still attending until i leave for korea. look up the Korean cultural centre abuja website for more info.

took the sejong level 3 test in the centre in abuja. its equivalent to topik level 3 but it isnt a topik test. But at the moment, they're working on bringing the topik test to nigeria because of rising interest. We're waiting for embassy recommendation at the moment.

I base in Abuja but I'm out of town at the moment,I would hv love to attend the sejong institute in Abuja but from my findings, their application for this quarter has been closed.
my plans now is to do self study and maybe register for the sejong level 3 exams.whars your advise,? is it posible to write the exams as an external student?
coz that's how I got my German certification.i took private lessons and later wrote their certification exams at Goethe institute in Lagos.can this also apply to sejong institute?
thanks

I was thinking of using the Language route but it seems it's no longer feasible doing that,so I will rather save up my money, learn Korean here and travel with student visa.
I also have a budget of 2m.i want to know how long it took u to learn ur Korean here in Nigeria.i speak 2 foreign Languages already(German & Portuguese) although not very fleunt in the later .so I think I'll be able to comprehend learning another .
my questions are.::
how long did it take u to learn the language?
2)was it self tutorials or u attended any private language class?
3)how did u get ur self certified?
did u write any language test? if yes, where and when.
sorry for my plenty questions
I anticipate your response

No company will send you IV to WORK in Korea.
No company will even accept you to work and give you visa even if you enter Korea now because there's no visa like that, it does not EXIST.
So do not waste your money sir.

Except you studied IT courses or courses that make you marketable in Korea and you're fluent in Korean Language.
And you're smart enough to integrate, with enough Grace, You can get a professional working visa based on your portfolio and contact and not even upto %1 of Africans are getting it, they hire mostly people from Asian countries.

Lol. In that case, I see your point.
But take note, Germany and other countries are not the same. Not every country is able to provide quality education whilst subsidizing it.
You've probably become so used to cheap quality education that you've forgotten how things are in Nigeria. Public universities lack quality. That is what Covenant is trying to provide. I think their efforts should be appreciated, or at the very least, not get ridiculed.
Public universities in nigeria only
I also get ur point
One thing I've just noticed is the pride amongst CU students or graduate.for crying out loud, CU isn't the only good performing private uni in nigeria ,from my point of view,
Afe Babalola outperforms this over praised CU
even American international uni in Anambra is still trying tho

Who can help speak sense into this udon of a governor?
Since he came to office,he hasn't gotten any thing right and there he goes with 9.1billion to build a 21 stores building in Lagos state.does he have common sense at all?
Some times I just wonder how foolishly our government act most times.this people hv no manners at all....
For Christ sake, tons of graduate loitering the city of uyo, insecurity increases geometrically, prostitution has taken over the state again but we recieve the highest revenue and this so called governor wants to loot such amount by building 21storey building in another man's state.
I just hate black mentality.
Who ever package this imbe and imposed him on us did not try at all,no be am abeg.

So should i bow for you for studying in university of blah blah blah. Studying in Germany does not validate your opinion on higher education in Nigeria. So please get off your high horse. If you read my initial post you would see clearly that i remarked that CU's funding comes majorly from private funders unlike most of the universities you listed up there which are heavily funded by govt.
Secondly, the initial comparison was for Nigerian universities and not a global comparison because up till this point, no West African university except for University Of Ghana and University of Ibadan has made top 1000 rankings. So it is understandable that most young private universities globally have a slower break in to top 1000. I have no doubt whatsoever that CU would be on both rankings(THE and QS) by 2018 and i admit that it ought to have been there sooner.

*by the way with d exception of Kalrushe, uni of Luxembourg, uni of Johannesburg and the likes the majority of young universities in top 1000 for times or Qs are twice older than CU. Ecole polytechnique is about d same age as unilorin.
So should I bow for u coz u are wasting ur dollars studying in one "glorified high school"called CU?
Arrant nonsense
That us one thing about some unexposed nigerians
What's the research capacity of CU?
What impact has she created to the society?
Do u know that ,the TUM u are talking about is one if the reason that Germany enjoy 24hours light?just becoz of their research on power.i bet u,step ur foot out of that zoo called nigeria ,and learn in a siren environs with sound minds around the globe,u ll get ur mentality upgraded.
About the funding,it may come from any where ,after all,u guys blindly pay huge huge sum of naira over there.wether public or private,at the end,a white man will always look at ur nigerian certificate a say""black paper"no one recognize the a4 paper u get over there .if u like, spend billions to get it,show it to a white man and watch them looking at u as if u hv shit inside ur hands.
