I agree with your first point but not 100% with your second. Most of them usually speed up when any vehicle tries to overtake them especially on single lane roads. I don't like being overtaken whenever I'm on the wheel too, makes me feel like I'm incompetent.

Dat's c'mon to many young drivers (private or commercial), esp if u're jst starting to drive. My colleagues & I use to av a slogan wen we started driving dat "wot's d usefulness of d space btw u & d nxt car? " meaning u keep up ur speed till u're "bumper to bumper" wt him, & wen u meet him, nxt target is to overtake.
We outgrew all dat wt time, esp after bashing d cars several times.

For d drivers, I guess part of the reason is cos they don't want d nxt cab to pick a potential passenger ahead of dem. It baffles me dat they display same attitude to private vehicles too. Really, they can be a hell of a burden wen they're ahead of u, esp on a narrow Rd.

Amala has a great charm but sometimes I think it’s the assorted meat and Ewedu mixed with Gbegiri that does the wonders. No, you’re not flying to Canada. It’s right in Ebute-Metta, yes! Along with third mainland bridge.

She is completely misinformed abt d NYSC so she was thinking it's a yr of largesse.
The NYSC incorporates a bit of paramilitary training & discipline into d corpers &, as such, uses paramilitary men to drill u. Hence, u may be above dem qualification-wise but u're still under dem cos they're ur trainers (jst like d recruits ll drill life out of d officers in training buh they must obey same officers after dia trainer).
