1 thing I'll NEVER stop to tell pipu is dat pipu did not vote Buhari cos they love him, rather they voted out Jonathan cos of his incompetence & institutionalisation of corruption. Buhari is only a beneficiary of dat process. I was ashamed wen my president said (on international media, live transmission) dat stealing is not corruption.

I did not vote. In fact I don't av voter's card, buh I can't imagine me voting for such a person cos he obviously doesn't know there's a problem let alone knowing d magnitude of it.
Of course this govt hasn't performed, buh it's a democratic dispensation, & u av 4yrs to decide. 2019 is jst by d corner. Dat's anoda time to also vote out this govt if there's a viable opposition. Unfortunately, PDP dat's supposed to provide d opposition is still in disarray 2yrs after.
Democratic govt is wasteful enuff in every ramifications (frm election to remuneration of political office holders) & so election shud be srs bizz, not bizz as usual. It happened in Ghana, & d immediate past president admitted his failure was due to bad governance resulting frm bad advisers. I'm sure d incumbent shuddav learnt frm dat. If they ain't working then u keep changing dem till d desired change comes.

Good idea but only if Lagos was a country. Do not forget the "bad inage" associated with Lagos state which is excessive tax.

imo, "excessive" tax is not d issue buh greediness of our leaders wc results to lack of planning as they only think of their pockets & not d welfare of their subjects.
Every advanced society (UK, USA, France, etc) is heavily tax & has high cost of leaving buh it's citizens are coping berra than us cos everything is well planned.
I recently moved to Lagos after I discovered prices are doubled wot I use to spend (pumped my tire for #100 instead of #50, patched same tyre for #500 instead of #250).
So it's easy to understand dat d heavy tax may not necessarily b a burden (esp for d business minded) cos d funded is in constant flow.

Depends on where u're staying. U can't generalise. That may be modest in big cities wt high cost of living & where u're not likely to get accommodation close to ur place of work, eg Lag & Abj. On d other hand, if it's where d cost of living is cheap & accommodation readily available, then it can be considered exorbitant

2) If we put in half as much interest and energy that we did in #bigbrothernaija2017, into those we elect into public offices (including yours truly) Naija would be a much better place being governed by our people of choice.

A national youth corper is currently languishing at the Kiri-Kiri medium prison in Apapa, Lagos after a failed N3.5 million investment in Twinkas and MMM Ponzi schemes.

Politics Nigeria discovered that the corper, a 2016 Batch B member of the National youth service corps, was arrested and arraigned for embezzlement after operators of the Ponzi schemes failed to return the money, which belonged to the company where he was doing his service.

The young man had hoped to make a quick profit at the end of his service only to end up disappointed. His employers wasted no time in inviting the police into the matter after he failed to return the money. His plight was made public by a colleague, a lawyer, who missed the last community development service (CDS) and took advantage of the group’s WhatsApp platform to explain his absence.

The lawyer, Augustine Ukpo, wrote:

“I was in court representing our Corper member colleague who was arrested and arraigned today before the Agbomalu Magistrate Court involved in N3.5 million embezzlement from his PPA (Place of Primary Assignment).” Giving an update the next day, corper Ukpo wrote on the same platform: “I earlier posted you guys that one (of) our Corper colleague(s) was arrested and arraigned yesterday.

He is now in Kirikiri Medium Prison pending the perfection of his bail conditions. While interviewing the corper member, I noticed bruises all over his body – evidence that he was beaten. He was kept in police custody for more than 24 hours. These got me furious as a lawyer. Even though the corper agreed that he used the money for MMM and Twinkas, his fundamental right should not be compromised. In this vein, I shall be filing a fundamental right action against the employer of the Corper.

Corper Ukpo refused to disclose the name of his client but posted photos showing signs of torture allegedly inflicted on him in a police cell before he was transferred to prison custody.
