Find friends who are highly motivated. Have mentors. It's a good thing you go to work, find out what others are doing to push ahead and do same.

Learning new skills also helps ward off boredom. Try and learn anything that might be of interest to you. You can go to YouTube or pay to have someone teach you outside of the house. If you are into academics, enroll to do your masters, PhD etc. Theese qualifications open doors for better pay and even remote jobs.

As for going out with him etc, forget it. It will never likely happen. For your peace of mind, understand your spouse so that your chances of surviving your marriage increases. If he doesn't show love like in the novels, accept that which he offers in his own way.

One reason I don't eat roasted corn is because of how it's handled by customers. Just go to any shade where corn is being roasted and you'd see dozens of customers touching the whole corn with their bare hands.

Some would even peel off a few seeds to taste if it's soft. I don't find that funny. That's why I don't eat roasted corn.

Ube (pear) is even worse. You'd see people pressing and pressing with their bare hands to find which ones are soft.

I value what I eat biko. I can't eat anything people touch anyhow with their bare hands. I know some people don't have any problem with that but for me, I wouldn't feel comfortable eating such food.

At least the boiled ones are inside a large pot cooking. You don't get to touch them only the seller does.

Alternatively I can just buy it raw and cook at home.

Nice dishes. I am sure they taste great. I watch a lot of cooking shows and my only advice is to focus on your plating. Improve on it and it will definitely elevate your dishes and price range too
