They slept further by diverting too much focus to wars/proxy wars and mass defence spendings, whereas, China quietly continued to build their research, tech, and global production base over the years.

Trump has displayed extreme rudeness and arrogance to the world and it's leaders. He has also lost the good faith and trust of allies.
