I had a similar experience.

A week after the interview, i was called by the Hr and was told have been considered for the job and i ll be on 6 months probabation before i ll be fully staffed. All the terms and condition with the job description was read out to me which i accepted. I asked for a formal offer and he said i ll be contacted soon to come pick it up in the office but all i just need to do now is to first accept the offer through text which i did immediately, i got a reply the following morning with an okay response. A week after, i called to ask for an update and i was told they ll get back to me. Ever since then am yet to get any call or mail from them.

This happened last month (September) and it's a big firm here on the mainland not through any agent.

Have moved on though but am still hopeful

I went for an interview at a 4 star hotel here in Lagos, and a week after i was called that i have been recommended and considered for the post. The job terms and conditions were read out to me which i accepted. I was told to send a message to accept the offer after which i would be called to come get my offer letter which i did and i got a response (ok) to the message i sent the following day.

But the issue here is, it's been a week now since i got this call and am yet to get any call/message from the company to come for my offer letter.

Am getting anxious daily. I really needs this job.

I am a young lady in my mid 20s. I don’t live with my parents. I live alone because I work in another city different from where my parents live. My problem now is immediately I get back home from work, I begin to feel lonely. Because of this, I like to close late from work just to keep my mind busy. I close early only if I have other errands to run or if I am very tired.

When I get home, I speak with my parents who try their best to keep me company. But there is still lots of time left before I go to bed. In the height of my boredom, I come to nairaland. Then I go to other blogs to read the news. I read all the news blogs I normally follow. I check out my chats on WhatsApp and Telegram. Usually there isn’t anyone chatting with me because everyone is busy with their lives. I go to Youtube which I have become tired of watching. And at some time I’m just bored to my mind. I don’t like to impose myself on anybody and so I only chat with people who come to chat with me including neighbours.

Sometimes I just want someone around that I can talk to but I’m alone by myself. Single people, how do you cope with boredom. I mean single people who are really single not the ones cohabiting or visiting their partners. Some tips will be very helpful right now.

Your story is just a summary of what am going through now. Most times i just have travel home weekends...
Not really comfortable with having a roommate but sometimes i get bored. Thanks to dstv, Netflix and my phone(my normal routines daily after work).

It's a phase though and am not really trying to force anyone into my life... i believe the right companion would come when it's time....
