somebody should advise me pls...I chose delsu as my second choice and got 295 in the last jamb aspiring for med and surgery...using the point system used by the sch, my total was 60 which is higher than the minimum point of 55.. my question is this will I be on a safer side if I change delsu to my first choice owing to the competitive nature of admission in Uniben which is my first choice ..I'm from delta also. thanks

Honestly.. No.. Even if you change your choice of school, especially when it comes to medicine... Delsu won't admit you. They prefer original first choosers

Please someone with good information about the school should reply this. Also, if I may add to this, which teaching hospital are they using? Cos honestly, when I checked MDCN official website I didn't see any teaching hospital from Ondo state approved b MDCN for internship training. Not even a federal medical centre. I'm not criticising please. I may be wrong I just need someone with good knowledge about this to correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Nah.. Not possible too.. Unless through Jamb

Even in delsu, the basic medical science students have same course outline so that peeps with 4.cgpa and above can cross over to medicine in their year three and write MB if they're interested.

Just a little correction

In Delsu, if you choose to cross over via transfer at any level (200l and above), you're going to start mbbs from 200l

Also, at Delsu, our course outline differs a lot from that of BMS

Well, in a nutshell, Medicine and Surgery in Delsu is actually a 6-year program which involves a preclinical phase(100l to 300l) and a clinical phase(400l to 600l)
After these 6 years, housemanship(1 year)... . Which is then followed by NYSC. After service, u specialize(residency)

With that jamb score, your chances are high
At this point, your post utme score is actually the major factor
Just try to get a score above 65 to be on a safer side

The quota varies between 50-70
