PalmTree: GIS is in very hot demand by several industries and individual in the academic. Decisions are now being made based on more precise information that can be supplied by a GIS. Unfortunately, only few individuals truly understand and can use this technology and as such they can either get jobs in various NGOs, Government agencies/ministries, Research companies, Oil and Telecoms. However, some choose to freelance, supplying their much coveted services for a fee. I am not saying we should not hope for white collar jobs, all I'm saying is that we should also consider learning a skill. those ain't even programming languages but guess what they r gud for a start if u wanna delve into web programming.
HTML and CSS r just for design n web interface. so u need to square up.
