I have been going through your comments and the Reply of the other guy And I must say that he is making a lot of sense and u are not.
Are u even aware of how protests start?
Do u even know about the demands of the union.
Let me be Realistic and Factual with u, no matter the protest, block airports, block CBN road, block everywhere, SCHOOLS CANNOT RESUME this year. Did u see the warning from CMD of LUTH who said schools may close down after they finish their term tbis week due to the infection rate?
Whether Covid is real or not, if they Lockdown, we have not choice than to sit at home.

Number 2.
Any protest that Is done now is just an effort in Futility. Be a realist and not an optimist. Save the energy for a Protest on Jan 4.

The best u can do now is to do online awareness for massive turnout on January 4.

Before u quote me, kindly Note, I am a 500l student also affected by ASUU strike, and I'm sure u will be in 100-300l so u should know that I'm more affected than u.

Also, a word of advice, reduce calling those guys up there "idiots"
Guy.... If the other guy is dumb, I don't expect you should, please tell me where I ever said we should resume this year.. let's start from there first, and mind you, even though you are in 800lvl, that doesn't matter to me bro, we are all in this shit together and it's affecting everyone equally!!

Bros b calming down and stop calling one idiots just cause one is trying give one's suggestion.. You are obviously the idiot here allowing anger taking over your sense of rational reasoning...Na all of us the strike affect..infact if you are in your final year now for a 4years course, it means I was in my 4th yr in uni when u got admission into the university so pls be calming down...staging a protest now will b futile. We will just waste the protest. School can not resume this year, your lecturers can't be travelling to their various universities barely 10days to Xmas , abi u yourself do u want to go to scul dis year come back home in 8-10days' time for xmas break and travel back on 2nd January? Haba! I hope u now reasoning with me when I said you ar an idiot...if ASUU call of d strike today they will b left with no option than to resume with immediate effect and that is what ASUU is trying to dodge away from..
government is trying to institute another lockdown due to rising incidence of covid cases and u wanna stage a protest now, u want to give d government a very sound reason to shoot you..
Like I said before, let an online awareness be going on social media and by early next year we go physical, we take the streets...
[/s]

What the fuçk is this idiot still saying, guy your fucking life is far different from mine.. no one is saying you shouldn't celebrate your fuçking Christmas with your fuçking family,.. but just get my fuçking point already!!

We can't resume this year, Fine! Everyone knows that already but the point is the Strike be called off Anyhow, however possible this year so we can peacefully resume next year by january perhaps the first week, with ease and less worries..
Won't you look so stupid protesting in a New year?.. or do you wish the over 9months old strike lingers till next year all because of a one-day Christmas?!!

Speaking about covid-19, I'm not surprised you happen to be among the very few fools that believe in covid-19 being in Nigeria, maybe there was, but that was then. You need to go out there and witness what's going on around the country with your fuçking eyes instead of sitting there in your shitty house believing Every fuçking thing the social media says.. Grow up dude!!

Welcome to a country where its people are fighting for bad governance but some numskull in the government are there forcing a disease on us that we neither have nor complain about..

Till date I have never heard any Nigerian complain about any covid-19 threat on his/her health or affecting his/her family.. but instead they are lying against us and using us to make money..

The 617 cases recorded, do they just test them and leave them in their homes? Because we knew all this while that the said isolation centres have been closed, do we even get to see anyone testing anybody?... Even the ones tested, are they all dumb? and even if they were, what about their family members?... we never ever get to hear a single thing from anyone. Do NCDC think we are fools?

This shit just have to end.. No one is going on any fuçking lockdown.. we are blessed in this country and we are living our lives freely..

sinkhole:
The hope for university students to return to classes has again been dashed, as the meeting between the Federal Government and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), scheduled to hold yesterday, Wednesday, December 9, was been postponed.

According to the Director, Press and Public Relations, of the Labour ministry, Charles Akpan, the meeting which was expected to receive a possible resumption date from ASUU, has been postponed to Monday, December 14.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, had raised the hope of students when he assured that ASUU would suspend its action after Federal Government increased its offer for Earned allowance and university revitalisation fund to N70 Billion.

Ngige, had revealed that ASUU agreed at their last meeting with the government team on November 27 to call off their nine-month-old strike before December 9.

“The truth of the matter is that a ‘gentleman agreement’ was reached at the last meeting in which ASUU agreed to call off the strike before December 9, 2020, and the minister, in turn, agreed that once the strike is called off, he would get a presidential waiver for ASUU to be paid the remainder of their salaries on or before December 9,” Ngige stated.

Meanwhile, the ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, has said that the Union is still consulting with its members across the country on the latest government’s offer and is yet to come up with any agreement as to when the strike action would be called off.

Recall that the ASUU President, Prof. Abiodun Ogunyemi had earlier accused the federal government of failing to deliver on offers made to the union.

Ogunyemi blamed the FG for the union’s failure to call off the strike, noting that the lecturers would not return to classes until their salary arrears were paid.

PUNCH news have reported that ASUU is now ready to call of the strike by tomorrow being December 9..
Baba you don't have to twist the News for us so that it would sound sweet to our ears.. so edit that and say exactly what you saw.
Just incase you insist.

The minister of labour and employment, sen. Chris Ngige said yesterday that an agreement was reached in their last meeting on November 27th that the strike be called off before December 9. But mind you, before then, the President of ASUU, prof. Ogunyemi made it clear to the public that it hadn't reached any agreement with the federal government and was still consulting. Another Earlier News reached us this Sunday on the 6th of December from ASUU that it had given the FG a time frame to fulfill their promises, amongst which was payment of withheld salaries before any positive step can be taking towards the calling off of the strike. The proposed time frame was meant to expire this week but he didn't say what day. So even if at all the strike would be called off, we need to pay closer attention to ASUU and not the Federal Government.

So OP, learn to post in details and stop giving people high hopes..
