Within our shores, the southerners hate the Northerners so much and vice versa so it makes no difference if some people off the country's shores hate us too . There is no unity among us.

Who will change Nigeria if you don't ?

Are people in the government human beings like you ? People who own (ed) businesses like Okoya, Abiola, Fela and co, aren't they human beings like you ?

I'm just tired of the back and forth. Goodluck to everyone.
i'm not the government, if i was the government at least i should have a say in what's going on in the country. Y'all don't get it right, the problem is not Nigerians abroad, the earlier you realize that you're attacking the wrong people, the better. Say it all day, i'll not go from grace to grass but from grass to grace.
lepashandi:
i can see the problem is so big - can i ask a question - when was the last time you guys been home?

Well - noone will answer - the same disaporic nigerians are the ones doing credit card fraud - half are in jail in the UK - half are running around on fake papers - they are the one giving Nigeria a bad name - they can't live in Naija but the go outside naija and continue to spoil the name Naija - give them to me - i will fry their arses one by one -
most Nigerian frauds are executed from within the shores of the country, why is that happening? why can't you live and be satisfied with what you are being offered?
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by dreeldee: 9:38pm On Aug 22, 2008
lepashandi:
Noone is convincing you to come home - don't you get it yet? who wants you to come - ask yourself - am i not useless to my country - if your answer is yes - then - no need to come - noone wants to convince you - you don't need any convincing because you have already said you are useless to your country.
this makes no sense, you're mad but venting it on the wrong people. wake up my man and don't be controlled by your emotions. We're not the cause of the problems, talk to Fashola to make things better for you then you'll see us trooping in our millions, at least we read the news everyday so we know what's going on.
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by dreeldee: 9:34pm On Aug 22, 2008
lepashandi:
if you are abroad and the only difference that you can mention in your life is that you eat burger abroad while you don't eat burger in Nigeria - then man mi or woman mi - u better pack your bag and baggages, go to your church and let them contribute for you to go back home - maybe you can then join the working class - at least maybe driving one of the new Lagos state mass transit buses - at least graduates in london drive the red buses - and wiat a minute - the buses in lagos are red as well - and with bus lanes - so - u wont feel any difference - common - make a move - go back home.

channel your yarns to the people destroying the country and not the victims who are trying to earn a living for themselves and their family
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by dreeldee: 9:31pm On Aug 22, 2008
All you Nigerians back home sound like your basic needs are being met, what happened to our Educational system? Energy sector? unstable Economy? etc I hope y'all realize that the Nigerians abroad are in their millions, what will happen if these people all moved back to an already failing system? why don't y'all channel the energy you're using now into convincing us to come home to the government to at least make things better for y'all, then wait to see if the ones abroad won't be finding their way home. You all sound like the Nigerian government itself, instead of making the environment attractive for foreign investment, they're traveling abroad to solicit for investors to come and invest in an unproductive system.
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by dreeldee: 9:07pm On Aug 22, 2008
if going back home had to do with meeting the likes of Idupaul, Buzugee et al. and their funny reasoning then i don't think it's worth it but thank God they're no where near it.

Onyinye what are you doing replying these folks, i've done several things today and presently at work, you're still on with them. i guess you got the time and even if you do, playing video games would be a lot beneficial

$$Rhino:
Guys, we don't need all these name calling.
they are what i'll call a reflection of the typical Nigerian mentality and that's why we're (Nigeria) far away from progressing
lepashandi:
Fashola wants to help the gutter sweepers abroad - he wants them to have a better life but they are persecuting him.

honestly speaking, Nigeria will be a better place if all the gutter sweepers, tesco workers, bus drivers, train attendants etc all come back to Nigeria to do the same thing they do abroad here in Nigeria. whats d difference? if you sweep trians in London, why can't u sweep trains in Nigeria? If u sweep city centres in your borough in London, why can't you sweep the streets of Lagos? If you work in McDonalds as a cleaner, why can't u do d same in Nigeria? why?
i think you have a problem with controlling your emotions, my advise-try to reason outside of the box

madamkoko:
YES, Poor, poor people's kids. Yes I said it. YOU tell them by the kind of schools they attend.

I notice these are the ones that HATE Nigeria. They've suffered plenty.
you seem to be viewing this whole thing only from your own perspective, do you think after establishing myself here, i'll one day decide to pack my luggages and leave for Nigeria where i know not what awaits me? In the 17th and 18th centuries, many Europeans migrated to America for better life because of the condition back home, no one told them to return back to their country when things got better. The ones who stayed today never affected the development of their home country, at least Ireland, England etc today are all on par with America economically and technologically. I'm sure No one said they hate their country, at least no one will say that for sure.
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by dreeldee: 4:50pm On Aug 22, 2008
While some Nigerians at home seem to blame the ones abroad, they forgot every human has the tendency to move to a better place not vice versa, also not every Nigerian needs return home just as not every American lives in America. I believe when the government makes the country a lot better than it is now JFK quote didn't say the government wasn't doing enough as it is the case with Nigeria , nobody needs to be told to return. it's human to move to a better place.

@lepashandy i don't think you studied abroad as you claimed, you only said that to buttress your point because your posts are enough to reflect the kind of person you are. If you do, then you're not refined and i don't see how you're gonna make any impact in Nigeria since you still have one of them mentalities- resorting to name calling in an argument

BlackMamba:
With all the poverty and brazen violent crimes in Naija most people are worried about winning a stupid soccer game in China. Are we under a spell or what? I read today that Yaraduah's mum was robbed in her bedroom. Bullion vans getting snatched in broad daylight and governors entourage ambushed by robbers. Any hope for this banana republic outside soccer? I guess not, with the explosion of ChelseaManUArsenal disease to keep the masses suffering and smiling.
what has all these got to do with our winning Argentina? are u mentally challenged or something huh
