Please between Seattle, WA and San Jose, CA which holds a better job prospect for a mid-level Frontend Development jobs. MackyNaija: Admission is based on bachelors and past experiences and I believe you can always find a way around restrictions by speaking directly to the departments involved.
Most entry level jobs (and even internships) require past experience either thru work or research for you to be considered for open roles. If you have skills in computer science, nothing stops you from chasing it. |

MackyNaija: Congratulations on your "Almost a permanent resident" status, e no easy!
The only academic importance of your Nigerian GPA is for it to be coverted to a US GPA that's high enough to get you an admission in the US.
Your bachelors is juicy for the US market, na coding proficiency remain.
The major issue is - how good are you at coding? Cybersecurity as I have read is another headache, they require mountain years of experience and certifications even for Entry jobs
Even failure analysis engineer job I see over the weekend deh ask for expertise in 1 programming language. Thunder fire them I sabi programming like that naim I never go hustle Software Engineer job?? I learnt that cybersecurity jobs require background check. What's a career in frontend development like in west coast. |

MackyNaija: To the best of my knowledge, up from Berkeley all the way down to SanJose, the cost is same.
If you work in FAANG, you 'might' be able to bear the high costs since salaries are higher. This life no balance. That means Mountain view, Palo Alto will be a "no go area." |

Yesterday night, I show my wife quadratic n cubic equation graphs. She think say na play I deh play when I saw na broom stick we deh use draw am for naija... She deh ask say why we no deh use software. Even Google no fit answer that question
Most Americans have no idea that waking up and breathing clean air than having enough for 3 meals a day is what some people in Africa pray for daily.
May God bless me with first world problems! During the time I was preparing for one exam, I had to use ixl to learn. I was amazed at how easy it was learning mathematics and I used their software to plot graph. America is blessed. |
