blink182: The level to which some display ignorance here is alarming, if you do not know about something say you don't instead of pretending to be an intellect that rubbishes everything. Spot on! You hit the nail on the head! 1 Like |

Religion / Re: I Want To Give My Tithe To A Brother In Need by drgamz(m): 11:40pm On Apr 03, 2012 |
Musiwa,.: The question here is not 'Love' but 'Tithe' and the tithe belongs to God and not to man. The help she can give her brother is share whatever she has left but it is not for her to decide where to place her tithe. As for you saying I am not a christain and from satan shows how confused you are. Humanitarian and charitable acts should not be confused with christainity. The scriptures does not permit us to judge our neigbours. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? James 4:12 May I leave you with the following passage Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.(Matthew 7:20) |

Sijo01: Gudday folks. My dear, if you help your brother today and the tithe you give him is finished would you help him tommorrow? There is popular saying "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." It appears to me that the scriptures is broken in your brother's life. At creation, man was blessed by God and given dominion on earth. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. (Genesis 1:28 ) Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ died on the cross to reconnect man to God and restore the original blessings that man lost when he fell. Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (Revelation 5:12) Please note that Jesus Christ came to fulfil the Law Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. (Matthew 5:17) Remember also that after Jesus fasted for 40 days and when he was tempted by the devil he quoted scriptures from the Old testament and not surprisingly the devil also quoted scriptures as well. Matthew 4:1-10 1. Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. 2. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." 4. Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'[Deut. 8:3]" 5. Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'[Psalm 91:11,12]" 7. Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'[Deut. 6:16]" 8. Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." 10. Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.[Deut. 6:13]' " In conclusion, since 2 Timothy 3:16 states that "all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" the old testament verses on tithes still stand today. I advice you pay your tithes as this shall guarantee an open heavens for you and encourage your brother to seek the face of the Lord to change his situation. Stay Blessed. |
Nairaland / General / Re: Seun Nairaland Needs Spiritual Cleansing by drgamz(m): 7:38am On Mar 31, 2012 |
talknafree: Looking at the current state of nairaland.com there is absolutely no need to argue that this forum needs thorough SPIRITUAL CLEANSING. OP, Some comments on Nairaland posts are uncalled for and has no relevance to the post that is made under. My suggestion is that the Nairaland administrator and moderators should expand its Privacy Policy stating in clear terms what is acceptable to be posted on the forum. It should then have in place mechanisms to suspend for a considerable length of time or block permanently accounts of chronic abusers of the Nairaland Privacy policy. Hopefully the fear of losing their accounts might serve as a deterrant to posters of expletives and vile comments. |

Computers / Re: Running Two Operating Systems On One PC by drgamz(m): 3:45pm On Mar 26, 2007 |
I will suggest going for a virtualisation-based solution as this also allows you to run the second OS in a virtual terminal. This is the latest trend in running multiple OS on a single Host The two big players are VMware and Apple Parallels. I have a Windows XP PRO notebook and run Ubuntu in a VMware Workstation. You can readily switch/ share resources such as USB, CD-ROM etc between your Virtual OS and your underlining OS. More information can be gotten from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VMware http://www.vmware.com/ |
