Med books are also sold outside school at Choba.

Please don't allow the false pride of ''I am a medicine student'' to disgruntle your attention to learning.

You must face the challenge!

Please don't overlook Chm130.1 most especially,if there is any course that can withold a student back,then it CHM 130.1

Don't overlook CHM practical too.Ensure to fill your manuals,don't leave any space unfilled!

Don't overlook PHY101.1 too,it is simple but can prove difficult if not manned down properly!

Most student will show negligence to filling PHY practical manuals.Please to have an 'A' in this course,ensure to fill all the spaces with the right answer.Don't use tippes cleaner erase your mistake,avoid making mistakes and don't cancel your work any how.

FSB is a nice course.It will be easy anyway.But,don't overlook it practicals.Fill the fillable spaces in the practical manuals.

And lastly...

The long break is not bad.We mustn't complain about everything.As for me,it is well welcome.There are many things to cover before finally settling for resumption.Besides,I know we all actually need good rest after the long erstwhile semester rigour we had.

For example, how can you know that smoking is a sin when it's not written in the scripture? Only the holy ghost can reveal these things to you. That's why every Christian needs the holy ghost!

If you have the holy ghost you wouldn't be here claiming master of theology because the scripture was written by the inspiration of the holy ghost. With the holy ghost, understanding the scripture is very easy; because if you make any mistake He will correct you through revelations.

If the Holy spirit was god in another form.Having the holy spirit means you have got god.What then is the need of jesus,since jesus is god in another form?

If you wish to possess both forms,then it means you are no longer better than idol worshippers with different forms representing same god.

Besides,who could be so greater than jesus to justify him after death?

Is that form equal with jesus?
If that form is not equal with jesus,will you still agree boths forms are alike?

Matter can't be created just as energy can't be created.Everything in nature exist and exist in interonvertible forms for the sustainability of itself.

Petroleum and gas goes together.At a certain level balloting is usually recommended.This may allow some by chance to enter in as Petroleum and others Gas.

This was what AEB department did at 1st semester exam.They postponed the course until there wasn't anytime for a break.

You don't have to buy any book of authors not known or recognised by the school.Every text you will need can be bought from the school's bookshop located in Choba and Abuja(Ofrima) campuses.

You only may have to buy your Chemistry text and practical manual,OGALE'S or ANUSIEM.I advice you buy ANUSIEM,but during exam period,try and peep over OGALE'S examples and solve some of its exercises.

Your physics text and physic practical manual will be bought by you at the school bookshop,Ofrima.Those are the school text,and that is what all lecturers teaching year1 physic will use.

You will have to buy your AEB text and practical manual at Ofrima too.

You will have to get your FSB text and practical manual from the school bookshop at Ofrima also.

Register your GES at Choba,and four of it relevant courses for both semesters will be given to you.

Nevertheless,there are good brother and sisters everywhere in school that can lend you texts suffer it that they are done with the course.

Remember,don't play with CHEMISTRY,PHYSICS and FSB.Each requires 50% to overcome 1st year hurdle.

2)Actually you will learn in UP that filling practical manuals to brim from physics Lab attendant is a thing not to toy about.The only thing that can cause a student to leave his/her manual incompletely filled is NEGLIGENCE.Negligence come like this,'' i will fill it,let me do other things'' If you don't want to land at a poor grade for your Physic practical course don't ever leave your manual incompletely filled.Fill it up,and put the right sense in writing.

3) Starting early to study your physics text(senior colleagues can help you for it) will save you a whole lot of stress.The early you start the better the grade.

4)Practice the exercises and examples,also store those things in a note you have practised.

5)Use past questions.Physics lecturers are not uptight like Chemistry lecturers,physics lecturers are quiet lazy asses that sees nothing wrong in repeating past questions.Almost everything in the OBJ may be repeated.Down digest your past questions and physics will not sieve you in hangover.

6)2nd semester physics is one that may give challenge to most student.I am talking of PHY112.2,not PHY105 or PHY115(for pharmacy students).Start your second semester work as soon as possible as you can,for all courses and physics exclusively.

You will have to do Three 3 chemistry during your year1.I have just done with one,and in summary i did away with the others.The remainings are 2nd semester course-Chm131.2 and Chm132.2.
These second semester are often the demons of all Chemistry courses for year 1.How do you prepare yourself for these courses?

1)The earlier the preparation the smoother the journey.I don't advice any CHS student going home for a break? Why a break? The moment your 1st semester comes to termination,take a week break,eat good food and bounce off to a start of the semester even 2nd semester hasn't started.Take materials from colleagues above you,and start studying each topic with precision.

2)Don't joke with the advice thrown to you by your colleagues above you.Joking with a precipice of their word is the last thing that should come into your mind.Meet them,learn from them,allow them to teach you,and learn for free.

3)Past questions! Past question for all year 1 chemistry is usually available.I observed that past questions are usually not repeated for Chemistry courses.Notwithstanding,that does not mean you shouldn't buy one,past questions in Chemistry courses gives insight to what the lecturers may set as question for you.Ensure to practice your past question very well before examination.

4)Ensure to fill up to the brim your Chemistry practical manual.Don't just fill it up,try as possible to make sense with it.

5)Chm131.2 is all about chemical kinesis of reactions and chemical equilibrium of these reaction.It is a course of an all-through calculations.Those persons having dexterity for calculations may love it.However,this course will become your hell if you don't practise the written exercises and examples.Get a note,solve and solve all the exercises in the text you are to use.The more you solve the problems the better you get the concept of that topic in itself.Solving and arriving at the answers to each exercise is a measure of your understanding.If you understand the concept,you should be able to solve the exercise.A failure to an exercise means you haven't had the concept.Practise the exercise not to be perfect but to increase your chances of earning good grade.

6)Your Chm131.2 and Chm132.2 is a foundation to Chem260.1 and Biochemistry courses in 200lvl.You may play with Chm130.1,please don't overlook or underrate Chm131 and Chm132.Don't learn these courses just to have good grades only,learn them to be what you want yourself to be.

7)Teach people what you know.Teaching somebody the piece you have in your head is a blessing to know more than that person.Help people to overcome their stress anyhow and anywhere.

You will have to nice book for all course in Chemistry.One written by OGALE and the other ANUSIEM.Lecturers in Chemistry prefer ANUSIEM,inshort ANUSIEM is better for all introductory courses to General chemistry.I also advice that CHS and other faculty student should use ANUSIEM'S.This in no wise underrate OGALE'S.For those using OGALE'S,you have got an examination success at your fingertip.When our Chemistry lecturers for 130 and 131 were busy teaching with ANUSIEM'S,they did also plan setting some of questions from OGALE'S examples and exercises.No question to be specific came from ANUSIEM'S.If you have ANUSIEM'S use it,but during examination time borrow OGALE'S or clog with somebody to use it.OGALE'S examples was where our chem130 and Chm131 exam questions came from.Please take note.For Chem132,you have a whole lot of textbooks to use.You miss some classes in Chm131 this is because everything to study is in the textbook,and you can decipher anytime you want.But for Chm132,don't miss a class even if you have the material in your hand.Meanwhile,OGALE'S textbook can also be use for Chm132,but ANUSIEM'S is not adviceable.

PHYSICS: You may also observe that in your set soon to start that CHS students shalln't complain of Physics courses.This does not mean that the physics courses are easy.It is the mindset they shall use to follow it that matters.Students too much hype chemistry courses than physic courses in year 1,making the physics courses a thing of simpleton for what it is not.
For every year1 medicine students,you will have to study 2 physics courses including practical 1(1st semester) and practical 2(2nd semester).The main non-practical courses are PHY101.1 and PHY112.2.Your first semster-PHY101.1

PHY101.1 is the easiest for both courses except for those with miniature knowledge of physics.Exhaustively,you will be learning Measurement and Mechanics.The textbook is usualy non-voluminuous and within a space of some weeks can be done away.How can you succeed PHY101.1?

1)Attend classes and learn from the lecturers if you don't have a sound knowledge of physics.Don't be discourage with the teaching attitude of physic course lecturers,some completely lack proper teaching mechanism to teach so that a student can easily decipher what they are saying.
