barcanista: Every public office holder have from Day 1- Day 90 to declare their assets before CCB.
There is NO timeline to declare it publicly. But for the fact that Buhari made a pledge, Nigerians expected him to send copy of same declaration that he gave CCB to the public through the media. This isn't a rocket science. What Buhari fulfilled is the constitutional and legal requirement but he failed his personal pledge to Nigerians. Sadly, his Media Aide Garba Shehu said by declaring with CCB, Buhari has "fulfilled" his pledge. Which is deceptive and fraudulent to say the least.
I did respond to number "2" on that replica thread that made FP. Pls check my response as I can't retype..
Buhari has been portrayed as a "modest" and relatively "poor" man. In fact, he claimed to have borrowed money to buy his form as he had less than a million in hs account. But fact emerged that his wife donated 137M and now the discovered N10.5M Wrist watch. I don't need to be told by a prophet that Buhari has been alleged to have looted funds in PTF and NNPC. Not forgetting the fact that his government as Head of State was shrouded in secrecy and many things must have gone wrong. The probe reports of PTF and NNPC fraud allegation were never made public, so it gives room for rational thinking and postulations. One way to get a good clue is for Buhari to declare his asset, so that Nigerians can attest to his "poverty" or otherwise.
As for "hating" him because of tribal issues, you are so pathetic. You forget that I was once his advocate despite the fact that GEJ I'd my kinsman until I discovered him for who he is. It is shameful for you to even assume such. You can hate, you can be a bigot, but I'm not! I don't hate Buhari nor his tribe. I would have dignified you with a proper response but I see that you're already towing the line of insults which I am not cut out for. Suit yourself mister. |

If our new president fails to give much more improved power supply during his 1st tenure, he will lose in 2019. in fact APC will lose woefully.
Power, Corruption, Unemployment and NNPC reform are the main things. If he fails in them, he will go. |

barcanista: OP I don't know what you are talking about. I am yet to see any "hate" campaign agaist President Buhari. Do you consider the call for him to declare his asset "HATe" Campaign? Do you consider the discovery of the value of his wife's wrist watch "Hate" campaign? What exactly is the hate campaign? Anyway, as long I am I concerned, I'm yet to see any.
Personally, I will never carryout hate campaign against anybody BUT it doesn't mean I won't analyse, criticise or remind the government. If you call that "hate" campaign then i don't think you or Alhaji Buhari deserve an apology! This man, can you sincerely answer the following questions: 1. Within how many days in office did the president promise to declare his assets? Has that timeline passed? 2. How are you sure of the value of his wife's watch? Why do you believe the price of the original and not the replica? 3. As the watch in question was acquired before her husband became president, it is obvious that she didn't acquire it with our money. Have you also considered that the watch could have been a gift from someone to her? You have shown deep-seated hatred for the president going by your choice of words. I have read some of your threads and posts to know you're from ND and as such I can understand your hatred for the president BUT DO NOT PRETEND to be otherwise. |

barcanista: Point of correction: The Omirin group "APPLIED" to withdraw the case, the court is yet to grant it. There are also other suit instituted by Fayose. Omirin by law is not the Speaker...Even if the court grants it, he and his men will have to sit to impeach the "incumbent" Speaker, elect new one and start the impeachment proceedings from the scratch. You know that isn't possible sef Well, my earlier quote still suffice here: "If you want justice, do justice". If Fayose used illegality to prevent those lawmakers from sitting, it is in order to unseat him with another illegality. An eye for an eye, if you like. |

barcanista: Is it you that will play the role of the Ekiti state CJ to setup the 7-man panel? Or is it you that will act as the House Clerk to communicate impeachment notice to the Governor? Tell me?
As for Omirin, the case is in court and status quo ante was asked to be maintained until the case is disposed. The status quo as at Nov 2014 is that Omirin has been impeached. The legality of his impeachment is what is being challenged in court and it was Omirin that instituted it. So he has to wait for the court to determine the legality or otherwise of his impeachment. He is not the Speaker for now Are you aware that the same case has been withdrawn by Omirin? If you're not aware, the case has been withdrawn. Please do not be an hypocrite. There are certain things that are indefensible no matter how one tries to and this is clearly one of them. You must have heard of the cliché that "he who comes to justice must do justice" and "he who seeks equity must come with clean hands". These sayings were not coined by me. |

Bayswater: But His Rulership, General Buhari promised us full change , not partial change. Please tell me exactly what you expect the president to do? To give order that the lawmakers should not sit or what? Fayose should have negotiated and allowed those guys sit since but he continued to use thugs and the police to prevent them from sitting. And now that he no longer has the control of the police, some of you guys are defending him. Like I said before, I don't care if he remains or impeached. I am just being fair here. |

barcanista: How can a group of rascals sit without the maze and you call that legal? Omirin is a goner! He is NOT the Speaker!!! Was Omirin removed legally? If you perpetuate in illegality to achieve an end, what is wrong in using another illegality to reverse your action? I don't care if Fayose remains or not but it is sheer hypocrisy for anyone to defend him on this matter. |

When Fayose was illegally preventing lawmakers from sitting, where was PDP?.
The same democracy we were in when GEJ allowed Fayose to impeach speaker and 18 reps with 7 lawmakers.
It was same democracy when 16 was greater than 19.

President Change is now on board, let them follow due process if the want to impeach him, it should not be done forcefully. Who is saying it should be done forcefully? If Fayose was "right" to use lawlessness to remain in power, why should it be wrong for the lawmakers to sit legally and impeach him if they so desire? |
