Politics › Re: BREAKING: I Won't Return To PDP, Says Saraki by DropShot: 8:01pm On Jun 10, 2015
APC should just mend fence with Saraki and Dogara snd move on for the benefits of Nigeria. After all, he invested in making APC win the election and he represents the PDP faction that defected.

With Atiku, Amaechi, Dogara and many more on his side, there is nothing Tinubu or APC can do to him else they break their party.

TANoids, over to you.

I was just smiling reading this article. Work has gone far already but baba doesn't shout. Even Cameron has tweeted that a unit has been created to help Nigeria fight corruption and Boko Haram. What this means is for thieves, your money is not safe in the UK.
TANoids prefer to hear noise to believe that Baba is working forgetting that a General is more of action and less of noise making.

This reports perfectly gels with the news of few days back that IPMAN has agreed to import fuel at no subsidy.

El Rufai equally said some people are already returning some stolen money but haters would have none of it but we now know he is right with this report.

Gradually, PMB will put all enemies to shame.

yea..But picking a running mate in the opposition is a big blow. And we all know this is one of the reasons he has the backing of almost all the PDP senator elect. PDP can't jst support Saraki like that, he must have promised the party(PDP) some other things probably to the detriment of his party. Its a complete sell out as far as I am concerned. Do you know if the PDP wanted, they would have allowed David mark emerge as the president for the 3rd time? Have u wondered why they didn't? They had the chance to buh they chose to let Saraki run unopposed. Only God knows the juicy things Saraki promised them.
It was not unexpected since APC would not allow him to run. And given his antecedents, APC should have handled him better. Remember we're talking of a man whom his father could not get him to allign with his political views, a man who walked out on GEJ.

APC should have just allowed him and Lawan run without favouring anyone. Or better still, should have long before two days ago zoned the positions. Or better still, do a transparent straw election instead of the open ballot kangaroo they did.
Well, let's hope they can findd a way to unite again.

Even though I am not a Saraki fan, I don't really have a problem with his emergence as the senate president but the means which he used to emerge..And his deputy..

Dogara on the other hand, won fairly. It was an election.
I understand your point but it was not Saraki's fault that APC senators didn't go to the assembly by the time fixed for the inauguration. And if they had, Saraki would still have won.

Tinubu/APC didn't handle this one well at all. They need to carefully pick their battle.

Your analysis is spot-on. Tinubu failed to know that there is nothing like absolute power when it comes especially to national politics and more especially when the president kept telling the whole world he had no preference among the candidates. The president's position emboldened the other candidates to forge ahead with their ambition.

If APC fails to accept Saraki and Dogara, the party's future is bleak.

I can't be too concerned about the, politics of APC/PDP as long as PMB delivers on his change promise.

Half-baked educated illiterate!

@topic, this news cannot be relied upon on the ffg grounds
1. How did SR know that PMB will return on Thursady.
2. If PMB will not return until Thursday, who is expected to inaugurate the Houses tomorrow?
3. David Mark is a dead on arrival case and Saraki will not even think of it. If Saraki will revolt, it makes sense for him to contest against Lawan than propping up Mark.

Breaking Times again!

I stopped giving them any attention when they claimed PMB's assets declared was 900 million naira having earlier reported that he owns a mansion worth 2.1 billion naira in Asokoro.

The question is, if PMB as first reported actually owns the mansion of 2.1 billion naira, should his declared assets not surpass the 2.1 billion naira? Why is it now 900 million naira?

Believe this rubbish and believe the protection seeker.

I read a thread by a NL "political analyst " where he ssid all PDP lawmakers and senators will vote for Dogara and Saraki so that PDP can control the houses thru the backdoor.

Where is that boy with mouth diarrhea? Here is his fellow diarrhea sufferer talking opposite of his strategy and me be think say dem don agree in their meeting to vote against APC choices before ni.

This is the boy below. By the way, FFK many Nigerians know even though he makes little or no sense, who you be? Who be you?
barcanista:
Where does FFK stand? PDP have better prospect with Hon Yakubu Gogara as Speaker just like APC when Tambawal was the Speaker. This is pure politics and there is no point to form neutral herer. I urge PDP legislators to disregard FFK and vote Hon Yakubu Dogara. Is it not good for PDP to emerge as Deputy Speaker? Is it not good for PDP and APC to share the committees in the ratio of 50:50? Is it not good for PDP to crack the APC and put them to disarray? Is it not good to upstage Tinubu from the House? Is it not good to be the defacto leadin party in the house even with a minority status? Wjat are we to gain from Gbaja?
Pdp lawmakers should queue behind Hon Dogara Yakubu

The PDP reps from the lower Niger would be real mumus if they allow the sw get away with it. Vote Dogara and Saraki to spite this mofos
Isn't Iriase a first-time lawmaker? I am not sure but he is in-experienced to be considered for speaker of HoR.

Dogara and Saraki will still make sense but Dogara has very slim chance. Saraki may still win the senate presidency though.

If this sails through, it will be good for national spread of the political offices.

President - NW
VP - SW
Senate President - NE
Speaker - SW

Then I will expect the SE/SS to be SGF or COS plus some other ministerial appointments.
