dayokanu: I be Chemical Engineer ooplease, when did this Tope Ajetunmobi graduate? And do you know much about him? Thanks |
There is no hostel for part-timers, but it's possible to buy one from full-timer that doesn't need the hostel. |
My nairaland role model is SURAJ OYEWALE popularly known as JARUS on nairaland. In addition, Tanimola22 and baba Ajanlekoko. |
you can try yabatech part time, it's very ok. What's your course of study? |
Am crying now reading some post here because I definitely know that one day I (or loved one) would leave despite running helter-skelter just to make it in life. I pray everyone would accomplish his (or her) mission before the last second. |
If you finished from poly like yabatech, I am very sure UNILAG will admit you into 300 level. You can even try other school like OAU, UI, etc... |

DE form is sold by Jamb not universities. |
bigfrancis21: Yes. You can. You'll just have to do your search well. Some US schools don't discriminate between HND and B.Sc degrees from Nigeria. Cheers.Alright, tanx |
candygosh: Laspotech, foodscience n technology (hnd)But why didn't you apply for Mtn scholarship if u're in hnd1. I will find out if it is not yet closed. |

chiudo: HI,Just a suggestion, you can PM Jarus(My lovely nairaland brother.... I love am die). I am very confident of him, he has core knowledge of this. I think he could help. No mind ma write-up na fone cause am ooo. Thanks |
My worst cgpa is 3.53/4.0.... Best is 3.62/4.0. Anyways, am still heading for 3.8 above. |
Can HND graduate apply for admission in US based on scholarship with GRE Test. I need your response pls. thanks |
t-med:ur school and course pls? |
@OP what's yours? |
alanpozar: I won't really say its because of my o'level grades. Other things came in to play like jamb score (or direct entry result) and ur performance on the aptitude test inter alia. I won't advise u to write anoda o'level. Rather, just try to blast the test and be hopefulThanks bro. |
alanpozar: I had all distinctions in WAEC (mixture of A1s, B2s n B3s). Gained admission via direct entry so my jamb score was irrelevant. I applied in 200L, wrote the exam in 300L, and got the scholarship in 400L. So it was paid as a Lump sum. Thanks, were you shortlisted based on ur O'level? If not, how do you think you were shortlisted? Just wanna knw thoug.... Am applying next year but my O'level grades are B3s n C6s. Is it advisable to write another O'level or what's your take on this? Thanks in anticipation. |
alanpozar:What are your O'Level grades and Jamb score before you were shortlisted? Besides, what level were you? Thanks |
I believe making changes in this country starts from each one of us. Rather than raining curse, because of this and that, on this blessed nation, why not let us think of how to be the change whom we've been longing. Calamities, atrocities, etc. in this country are imponderable. Whatever changes we make now would have effects on the generations to come, afterall none of us could deny the fact that he's a citizen even if you are one else where. Suggest a way, position, time, age, things etc one must possess or one's standard to make at least a change in this nation. Immense suggestions from your own perspective of viewing things are welcomed.. |
I have a guy that just completed his National Diploma and has secured a good place (like Dangote Sugar Refinery just to say) for IT(Internship). But he wants to take jamb next year for his degree (i.e starting all over from 100 level in university) and abandon the IT. I need advice from the house, should he go for IT and later take DE or take jamb next year? Thanks in anticipation. |
Why now! Mechanical engineers where are you? Or does it mean there are no mechanical engineers on this very informative forum (NL) or are they not the users of internet? Probably NO! Then why have they kept silent. There are many unanswered questions on this thread. Pls, mech. engr. let's bring this thread back 2 life and make it lively. Abeg... Great MechE. One love |
Education is largely a function of information while schooling is a career. Education is the formal training one received from an educational institute while informal training tends towards personal development which ultimately determines the degree of triumph. Both formal and informal training constitute which makes a man educated. But I believe in personal development than qualification earn in school. Chief Obafemi Awolowo as an instance, He didn't have much education but can be classified as an educated man. Where a man with cambridge certificate would behave naughtily. |
Firstly, my appreciation goes to Sir Seun for the invention of this great citadel of learning especially for the young minds for expanding our minds, creating in us a deep insight and broaden knowledge. Besides, Bro. Jarus you're too much. I am looking up to you for greater innovations to shape ideas and thoughts for the future. You've possessed the attributes of a good leader. Obi & kat... You guys are too much. Thanks for contributing immensely to the development of the younger ones. I love these historical facts. Fight with your strength not in others weakness. As your success lies in your effort not in others defeat. Kudos to the moderators, impeccable judges and we (audience). |
