Family / Re: My Trip To Worship Without A Family Car by dtneicna(m): 9:46pm On Jun 22, 2016
This happened when I was in SS1. Mum told me to tidy up the kitchen and wash the dishes the previous night, I refused to do it. The next morning after I had dressed up for school, she then told me that I must do what she asked me to do the previous night before I leave the house. We had someone who takes us to school then with dad's car, unfortunately for me that day was the first and only time the Land Cruiser will run the errand of dropping us at school, me being a big fan of cars, it was so painful 'cos only my elder sister was taken to school in the SUV while mum made sure I learnt obedience the hard way. The fact that I didn't get to ride in the SUV that day made the lesson sink. Aside that, she had told me that if I miss the ride I would trek to school. Well, that was exactly what happened, I missed the ride and had to trek to school.
Paul the Apostle in his epistle to the Hebrews states that, "now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby." To the Glory of GOD, discipline has shaped me for good and I'm ever thankful to GOD and my GOD-given parents, may the good Lord bless and keep them, Amen.

We Nigerians don't address issues the way we ought to: some pple are already questioning his step in ending d marriage 'cos of the woman's incessant partying, although I don't support divorce but we ought to condemn the woman's act in order to make our society a better place.

Obiagelli: good news,

Why can't one of these telecoms companies sponsor a telent hunt for athletes instead of all these Nigerian idol or project fame? We like to copy useless things in this country.
Do a talent hunt, discover young prospects, send them abroad to become world beaters and have the advertise your fast Internet connection when they are made. Simple logic.

I hope someone make this proposal to one of those companies, imagine Usain bolt as their brand ambassador for speed, its a win win situation.

Car Talk / Cars For Teenagers: The Controversy. by dtneicna(m): 6:56pm On Sep 04, 2013
Hi, there's this thing that has been bothering my mind as regards people's reaction to teenagers having a car. In some countries overseas, there are some vehicles that they believe are meant for teens but here in Nigeria, if a teen is seen driving that type of car, you'll hear people say 'tani o gbe iru motor yi fun omo yii?' i. e ' who gave this boy/girl this type of vehicle to drive?'
When you visit a website like edmunds.com, you'll find a topic there 'cars for teenagers' which include the: 2009 Honda Accord
2009 Toyota Camry
2010 Chevrolet Malibu
2010 Volkswagen Jetta
2011 Hyundai Sonata
2012 Honda Accord
2012 Hyundai Sonata
2012 Toyota Camry
2012 Volkswagen Jetta
2013 Chevrolet Malibu
and the likes. My point and my question now is that, is because of the status of our country Nigeria as a developing country or what?
I'll appreciate substantial comments, thank you.
