As for the bride price, there is a way my tradition handles it. You either take the girl without paying her bride price or her family will first pay the mother's bride price to enable you pay the girl's own bride price. The second option is the best.

The first option is very bad because the girl will not be traditionally recognised as your wife until you pay her bride price. Her family can even claim the children she has with you. But these days, court judgement overrules traditions meaning that with DNA test results and with evidence that you have been spending on those children, you can claim those children.

I thank God that sometimes these courts we have to manage sometimes have sense to do the right thing in nullifying some of these evil pagan abominations.

But i can't wait to see all been nullified!

I used to be angry hearing all these shitty things flying and looking at how most of us denied it while some bowed their heads in shame while for some girls, they start crying and will not come to school for the next 2 days.

I remember holding these things in mind to see if they were true and of course I must go home and ask my mum since she works in tradition and cultural and historical institutions.
