Nigerian logic: Since one bad happened 1 year ago and you kept quiet or benefited from that in one way or the other every other bad thing that happens till the world ends is permissible and fair. Since you were the beneficiary of Wikes rigging every other future injustice is permissible. Nigeria no go fit ever better with this kind of People and logic. Keep your bias aside I mean your religion, your nationalism, tribalism, political identity aside; If you have 100 or even 1 million people in 2 groups and say everything is fair game no matter how bad or wrong what do you think will happen? How much development do you think you will see in 20 years time from the day basically shouted “War start!!!” Now imagine the same scenario but with 220 million people and over 1,000 groups (these groups encompasses tribe, sub tribe, religion, denominations, language, class, education, state of origin etc) statements like “I don’t care after all they are all benefiting” “Nothing concern me after all na dem dem” but another 8 years of your life is going without seeing dividends of democracy I mean without seeing 24/7 electricity, good paying jobs, security, affordable housing etc. E no concern me but na your common wealth and your children’s future dem dey use play, dem dey mortgage take collect loans from other countries to share amongst themselves e no concern you but you never chop better healthy food 3 times a day in the last 7 days. You never experience 14 hours uninterrupted power supply since dem born you and you done dey clock 50 or even 30 now how many years do you have left on earth? According to the life expectancy of your country? Now Divide it by 8 ? How many more Nigerian presidents will you see before you leave this earth? How many more bad presidents and governors can you afford to experience? |
Una sure say Naija fit ever better ? |
Another victim of Nigeria. We need proper subtle national orientation programs If I ever become president, governor or even senator. I will have a program where I carry all the bad boys and girls in my area for excursion. The easily influenced ones with nothing to lose the ones wey life done tire. The ones who can do anything for 100 naira I will take them to Dubai 2-3 days cool off, take them an African country where things are working, electricity is stable, roads are clean, like Rwanda, Seychelles etc. And finally to some western country have an agreement with the ambassador or a government agency in the other country let them work non skilled labour work for like 2 weeks or a month and get paid the minimum wage of the country. Then Bring them back to Nigeria without them knowing under the guise that we are going to another country by the time they return and see how normal human beings live and value life their way of thinking will change they will live the rest of their lifes knowing that there is more to life than being a hoodlum. E sure me say some of them go become activists telling the rest what they saw and experienced and how an entire country their age mates are doing more achieving things with their lifes. Explaining modern mobile phone’s📱 to a man in 1500’s is different from actually handing him the phone. It is easier for him to believe and his mind changed than for you to use empty words to describe it. Seeing is believing. |
Nigeria done happen to dem. How generator fume wan take kill them if Nigeria had 24/7 electricity 🤷🏾♂️ Meanwhile, E done tey wey I hear generator noise last oh the last time was 2 years ago when I went on YouTube to play it just to remind myself 🤣 May Nigeria not happen to us IJN |
Choiceone1:In cities and areas with high or moderate traffic that is understandable But this road is connecting 2 villages where most people use bicycles and motor cycles and it has little traffic. How many times do people visit their neighbouring villages where you are from and do they visit in convoys of Mercedes Benz’ and coaster buses? If this road was connecting to a major city like port harcourt or even a place with a population of 500,000 or even 300,000 people and above I will understand your comment. But this road is connecting 2 villages with population less than 200,000 and none of these communities have anything attracting visitors, not a stadium, not an international hospital, airport, big multinational company NOTHING. So you want government to sink money into an 8 lane super highway connecting 2 viallages with a population of 100,000 people each which no one will ever use, even in the picture did you see any car on the road? Did you even see a bicycle or motorcycle on the road? Go to Google maps now and see if you’ll see any cars on the road in google satelitę images that’s to tell you the low traffic on such roads. I am not saying roads shouldn’t exist of course they should I believe all communities should have this type of roads leading to closest community to them then as traffic grows the road can be expanded. Nigerians are narrow minded and don’t understand for themselves that’s the issue here, when you understand why and how then you will know when to ask for what and why. But you guys are good in cramming and passing exam without really understanding that’s why you always ask for things without knowing why or if you even need it. It’s the reason you ask for president from you Tribe and state as if that will help your state or its people in any way You ask for super highways and trains from a desert no one lives in to another desert no one visits and then wonder why no one uses your “world class road” And it can’t be maintained. No one uses a road simply because it is a road or it is smooth, they use the road because they want to visit something or someone or do something somewhere that road leads to. Roads to Lagos city in Lagos state are more traveled than roads leading to Baro city in Niger state WHY? Because people want something in Lagos they aren’t visiting Lagos just because the roads leading to Lagos are good. Even if the roads leading to Lagos was bad they’d still use the road and even if the road leading to baro was the best road in all of Africa they still wouldn’t visit baro. Fun fact: did you know that during the colonial era Baro had a MAJOR inland port it is close to the river Niger and it was used in transporting groundnut and cotton. It has a railway, it has colonial buildings, it is a good case for this road because it shows that you cannot force people to visit a place simply by building Railway, good roads, good ports etc. Past administrations but states and federal have tried to revive this city to no avail. If all that money wasted on those projects: River port, inland port, railway etc that no one uses today was put into places people actually want to live Nigeria would be better off to a small degree today. No one will visit your village only 4 elderly people live in your village and 2 can no longer walk the other 2 are blind but regardless of that you want your village to have 3 sea ports, 4 airports, 6 hydroelectric dams, 200 fuel stations, 10 lane roads 🤣 only because it is your village. Why not put these facilities in places people actually reside and visit. The border towns the first places people see when they fly into, drive into, walk into, when they film Nigeria or their experiences in Nigeria. Build a football club people LOVE then build that club a stadium then build hotels for fans to stay in when they come to see the games live. as fans number increases with time you also increase the stadium’s capacity. That’s how it should be but Nigerians will instead build hotels first 🤣 then build a stadium second and then wonder why no one is staying in the hotels or visiting the stadiums and using them when there is nothing to see in the stadium 😆 And then they use the stadium once a year for one religious event and use it once in 4 years for political rally and say it was money well spent 🤡 |
Jii95:Agreed but this is not a major road this is located in a place where less than 10% of inhabitants own a car or bus of any kind. Most people use bicycles or Okada. The road connects Egbeda in Rivers state a community of less than 200,000 people to Omerelu also in Rivers state another community with less than 200,000 people So in reality a 4 lane dual carriage road between 2 communities in the middle of nowhere will be a waste of resources when there are more pressing issues that money can be used for example providing lights for the road, security for the communities, incentivizing farmers in the communities, healthcare etc. The road does not even connect direct to port harcourt the capital city where you will say some people will use the road once or twice a year. During Christmas and maybe new year How many Omerelu people visit Egbeda daily? And vice versa? Almost none. So this road is sufficient for these type of communities it is better than having no road at all, atleast now people with bikes, motorcycles which are the more prevalent means of transportation in these communities can travel with ease and even the few who own cars and those who have or use buses can ply those roads as well. But believe me there is no hold up or traffic or go slow within thise communities to warrant dual carriage lanes with 3 or 4 lanes. |
SmartPolician:Too expensive and Not enough traffic to warrant dual carriage roads on both lanes. Atleast for the few people who use the road once a year during Christmas when they visit their village they’ll be happy that they have a road even if it is one lane |
Ndenomy:You are a very F 0 0 / ! $ # person They should give Wike HALF of Rivers treasury for himself and his presidential ambition and the full rivers state with over 2 million people should share the remaining half because that was the agreement can you listen to yourself? Are you a D3<!| only $@+@n will agree to such an agreement to the detriment of himself and his people. The money Wike paid delegates last election where did he get them from? You people ehn this is why your country is the way it is today Thank God I left. Naija cant get better with people thinking the way you do |
Bring it down to zero then we celebrate because i know we have some unreported cases but if it is officially 0 we can assume it is between 0-5 when we we factor in unreported attacks |
Your mortgage and property tax will be off the roof |
Imagine Returning to things like these smh 😑 |
Balablue64:That sounds great abeg Tell me more I’m all ears, I’ve wanted to start it for the longest but financing has always been the problem, now that I survived one of the most difficult financial crisis of my life I know things are about to get better by Gods grace so man has to Polish that dream again get ready, prepare for the opportunity coming. Abeg I’m willing to learn please teach me |
Bizmind95:You are living true to your moniker/handle/name I like that. Your idea is great and it seems the Rice machines are even cheaper than those of the oil but my interest is in that oil, something is tells me if I touch that oil Nigeria will feel it, it’s like a calling I’ve always loved palm trees and all the palm tree has to offer and it was almost always in every childhood story, it was one of the first things I learnt how to draw so it has some sentimental value to me, Right now I’m just investigating, learning, gathering money, seeing how far. Testing the waters. Pricing Agricultural land. I want to enter for the long run. I’m not looking for quick profit, for now I want to learn and network. Understand the business inside out before I enter fully. |
Is the business profitable? How are you surviving? What do you wish you knew before entering the business? What are some things that can help you now ? What’s your profit margin like? |
I am a fan of the Lagos - Calabar coastal Highway even as I am not in Nigeria. However, my own private findings reveal to me that the coastal Highway begins and ends in Lagos not literally. I’ll explain what I mean, When I hear coastal Highway I think of a HIGHWAY that runs ALONG THE COASTLINE of a body of water. Meaning see the road here, see ocean there. Meaning you can look out the window of your car and see the ocean for most of the journey which is very scenic, However with the Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway it seems to me that the only section of the highway from which you can see the Atlantic Ocean is in Lagos. To me this is a wasted opportunity, I thoroughly anticipated this road expecting it to open up new coastal communities ESPECIALLY those in Rivers state, Bayelsa and Delta. This road would have brought development, security and more to those forgotten communities were since slavery days no human has stepped foot again, communities that have absolutely no tarred/cemented roads, I was 100% sure that this road would inspire state governments in these states to move some development outside their capital cities. Many states in Nigeria are 1 city states, they have only 1 city that is “trying” outside that one city nowhere else is worth visiting, no where else is habitable. One of such states is Bayelsa outside its capital Yenagoa nowhere else is fit for human habitation. This road would have opened up a second axis in that state. I also looked forward to hearing or seeing the historical items dug up during road construction or even during the building of shops and houses and other businesses that’ll follow along the road in these regions that were well known for their activities at a time in history when Nigeria was called Slave coast. These places were part of the major slave hot beds. Responsible for a large chunks of slaves that left not just the shores of Nigeria or slave coast but Africa as a whole. I had anticipated all these only to find out that from the Delta to Bayelsa to Rivers state section of the road will be built in the already existing major cities “upland area” to save costs instead of building bridges because of difficult terrain. To me this explanation makes little or no sense, the only reason most of us supported this Highway is because of its coastal nature, imagine a 6 lane elevated highway in the mangrove rainforest of the Niger Delta between Bayelsa and Rivers, left and right of you over the road is green and blue as far as the eyes can see creeks, trees and sky the sights, sound, smell would have been nothing you’ve ever experienced in Nigeria ever I have been in those creeks I have driven over the Atlantic and beside it, the experience is out of this world the sound and smell outside your car window is something that can’t be explained but I will attempt, it smells like immediately after rainfall + a little salty + a little grassy + other undertones Remember this is Africas largest mangrove. I pray one day governors from Bayelsa + Rivers + Delta and maybe even NDDC decide to come together create a fund and build a true coastal Highway mount a toll gate if necessary. I can assure you people will pay to drive on that road just for the experience. Remember these places are not concrete plastic water proof bag waste dump sites like lagos has become It’s green, it has lots of ocean animals, land animals, birds and butterflies exclusively unique to the region it’s beautiful. Niger delta red colobus monkey, Grey parrots 🦜 (only have 3 main specific locations on earth 2 are in Niger delta: Orashi forest reserve in Rivers state, Cross River National park in Cross River, the 3rd one is in Congo Basin rainforest), heslop’s pygmy hippo’s Imagine driving and seeing or hearing these animals by the road side. Even from the coastal Highway you would have been able to see manatees and dolphins and other creatures of the ocean due to the freshwater and brackish environment as well as fewer human activities and port activities Well I guess to some degree this may be for the better as these animals will be able to continue existing without much human disturbance , but for now I feel let down because I wanted the world to see natures Beauty from somewhere I call home. |
Nice one we need more, we need people for maintenance and even manufacturing of these farm equipments here in Nigeria. And then every farm medium to large scale especially should have access to these even if the Government leases or rents it to them at discounted rates it’ll help a lot in increasing food production and even reducing food prices |
ibechris:I’m happy to note that positive stories are still coming out of Nigeria. |
Super33999:True, trust your heart/spirit |

RedboneSmith:I am kalabari ijaw. Most dna data base does not have Ijaw but the more we take the test the more their database improves The test I took is 23&me they have igbo, edo & Ijaw dna as one which mine fell under, Yoruba and many other African tribes in their data base so it’s good However some other dna companies lumps us all into southern Nigeria or just Nigeria I did my heritage and they don’t break it down as well as 23&me Maybe in future I will do African Ancestry dna or Ancestry dna I’ve heard good things about these two. Especially for Africans. Back to the talk I have heard igbos saying Kalabari’s are Igbo, they say Asari Dokubo is Igbo and all Kalabari’s, Opobo, Bonny, okrika, Ikwerre, basically all the local government in Rivers except Ogoni are Igbo. I have also heard them claim Bayelsa is Igbo. Look I don’t expect you to understand after all the axe that chops down the tree doesn’t remember chopping down the tree but the tree that is chopped down will never forget being chopped down. For some of you it may be cruise, it maybe fun and games, it may be just flexing ego or muscles but to us you are threatening our existence as a people. And if you know anything about us you would know that we don’t hate Igbo people, we don’t discriminate against anybody, everyone feels at home in Rivers state, Igbo, Yoruba everyone we don’t use language to insult people at their back if you don’t like you we tell you to your face. We don’t stop our people from marrying Igbos or Yoruba or anyone else, today there are so many Igbo girls from Imo state in Rivers state, I only realized when I was in university and the Governor was coming to inaugurate some stuff a news station was trying to interview people and the girls kept saying I am from imo, imo, imo I was like wtf Joy you too? How many of you and they laughed but from that day on I kept seeing state of origin: imo I even jokingly asked one are there women left in imo state this one that all of you are now in Port harcourt, if I had married in Rivers during my uni days the odds that I would marry an igbo girl would be very very high and if my child took a dna test and it shows Igbo would that mean his kalabari ancestors are Igbo? Absolutely NOT, it will not be prove that Kalabari’s are Igbo but prove that His mom is Igbo. we in PH sell land to everyone infact people used to use it to make fun of ikwerre’s especially. “Una done sell una village finish to outsiders finish now una wan do event na main road una dey use” 🤣 Pidgin english is our own state language, you can use standard normal English anywhere in the state and even our great grand parents will understand you. Especially those of us from the Riverine regions I in particular My great grand father wrote letters in English, one of my grand fathers served the English military during one of the wars, one of my great grand fathers was traded with the English in English he also signed agreements on the Ship belonging to Queen Victoria so they knew English and were educated in English since before slavery started officially. So History and DNA aside if you want our support in politics, education, Music, movies, business etc. Just tell us simple we will support you. There is no need in attacking, insulting, black mailing, ridiculing us or our ancestry. I have lived in Kano, Enugu, Lagos, abuja, and many places. You know that thing you guys do where you speak your language to us assuming every Nigerian must speak your Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa we in PH dont do that to people we do not assume everyone must speak Ikwerre or Kalabari we speak in English or pidgin to you until you tell us or we find out that you can speak the language then we speak with you. If I tell you my experience in Igbo land and Yoruba land you will pity me. But that’s story for another day. But that experience opened my eyes to the fact that we are different people (the way we see the world, the way we carry ourselves, our definitions of success, respect and more) and that’s why I make long comments like these hoping to educate people. We don’t hate you, I don’t hate you I just want you to know and respect my identity and that of people like myself. That’s all. The fact that we do not share the same identity or history or culture or language does not mean we cannot work together. We must not be blood brothers before we can work together. |
Because of one small Roger you have lost your source of monthly income and your retirement benefits and your ability to collect future Roger’s. Sai gobe Man must survive, Nigerians are just trying to eat that’s all majority of the people don’t even want much just a place to live, food on the table, 24/7 electricity and a job and security that’s all. They aren’t asking for the impossible, most Nigerians aren’t even asking for a clean environment, proper drainage, skyscrapers, underground electrification, better public mass transportation etc. Just the basic food, job, security and electricity daz all. May our suffering come to an end one day. |
Good news no dey ever come out of Naija na so so bad news every day |
